El Mamut is amazing! I live an hour away from it unfortunately, but let me tell you it's well worth the hour drive! Literally every single item on the menu is delicious and homemade. The restaurant is also spotless and very clean. Service is very attentive and kind. Wish them nothing but the best.

The tables are spaced out and they are following Covid protocols. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, so we ordered as soon as we sat down and the food came out right away. Then pan con chicharrón was a bit greasy because the chicharrón had a lot of fat on it, but the sweet potato and onions on it tasted great. The tamal de pollo with onions was also very tasty and with hot sauce on top it was great. The hot emoliente was perfect for a nice winter day and the salchipapa was good, but the best was the leche asada. This is a baked milk pudding so it is a mixture of hard and soft as the top part is hard but once you eat it all it's amazing.

Amazing shakes and breakfast sandwich options! I've been coming here for a while now and although it is a bit over priced it is well worth it. Typical Peruvian breakfast sandwiches like the chicharon & huevo con salchicha are the go to's. Also the lomo en jugo with bread on the side is just delicious. Pair any of these with a fresh juice and your set to start your day. The only down sides is that this location is small and normally packed so there is a wait and they aren't the best with a system of sitting people down. Also this is a pretty busy street so parking is the worst. If you come early and are prepared to wait you will enjoy your time here.

What a delicious find! This Peruvian restaurant serves a variety of sandwiches and they are all delicious - from their jamón de país to their chicharrón and eggs- it's hard to pick one! If you want to make a quick stop and take a breakfast sandwich on, i recommend stopping here!

Asado sándwich with lettuce, tomato and avocado

Had I come only to eat an empanada they would've gotten 1 star. I was disappointed as it was dry inside. They seemed to have nuked it in the microwave really drying out the chicken inside. HOWEVER, I came for the sandwiches. I had the asado (steak style) sandwich. I asked them to add lettuce, tomato and avocados. It was very tasty and fresh. The sauce it's cooked in was good and the red onions they used gave it a nice flavor a semi-crunch that really made this a delicious sandwich. Even though I'll never eat an empanada from here again, I probably will return to try out a different sandwich.

Taco de carne

I had the beef (carne) Peruvian taco. Really tasty. Nice combination of meat, sweet potatoes, white beans (frijoles) in a tasty but not spicy sauce. They have a sauce list you can choose from. I asked the gentleman who took my order to give me a non spicy sauce. Whatever he put it in the taco was delicious. He made my taco the way he would eat it. They don't take credit card under $10 so I had to run out and get cash but it was so worth it. I will be back to try their chicharrón sandwich. That also looked delicious.

At its core, it honors regional food heritage while continually reinventing itself with new techniques and cultural perspectives. Located on Park Avenue in the heart of Rutherford, my partner, our friends, and I determined to start 2026 for brunch as first-timers. The reservation was easily made by calling the restaurant. Upon arrival at Sonoma Bistro, we were greeted by the staff and got a table by the back wall decorated for the holidays, evoking a festive, warm, casual, and inviting vibe with music playing throughout. For some of us as a starter, we decided on the beef empanadas. As a main meal, we opted for Steak Sandwich, Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, Veggie Omelette, My Big Breakfast, and Bistro Omelette. Washed down a Hugo Spritz for toasting to the New Year. Each dish felt like a work of art, as it was beautifully presented, bursting with flavor, and deliciously tasty. The chef focused on sourcing local, seasonal ingredients to ensure freshness. Our service was attentive and super friendly. Our server was George. The price was reasonable. This establishment checked all the boxes! One doesn't just come here to eat. One comes for an experience that leaves one feeling inspired, which we can recommend.

My Mrs had the fluffy French toast and she ate most of the huge portion. That's saying a lot because she usually hates everything. The hostess and waitress were fabulous. There was a gentleman waiter who also checked in on us and the owner chef visited our table. The decor is cool! Check out the festive tree in the dining room. The only down side is how loud it is. The place is fine and was jam packed with patrons and it was difficult to hear my companion or the server. Overall this place is magnificent and a must try!!!

Their pancakes are uniquely crepe-like, and cooked to perfection every time. I think we've been here about 5-6 times now. We love coming here. The staff brings a really welcoming vibe, the service is always efficient, the music is good, and the layout is good with nice big windows and tons of natural light - a great setting for eating breakfast. It's a really nice place to chill and treat yourself to a cozy relaxing meal. I love how their menu is a range of traditional breakfast (i.e. eggs, pancakes, bacon, omelettes, etc) to creative lunch/brunch specials like chicken enchilada, avocado toast, etc. Definitely a must-try.

The menu is on the smaller side, but it has enough variety to offer good options for everyone. The breakfast platter was delicious and satisfying. The pancakes were thin but had great flavor and were cooked perfectly. The coffee was excellent it had a nice balance and wasn't watery at all. The corned beef hash was especially flavorful and definitely a standout. Prices aren't too bad for breakfast, especially considering the quality of the food and service. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a cozy spot with great food, friendly people, and a relaxed atmosphere. Thank you for a good experience.

We're so glad we did, because this hole in the wall turned out to be a diamond in the rough. With a nondescript exterior and limited signage, Foodies Diner is easy to miss. It's in an area with mainly houses and mixed use commercial buildings, but the space inside is cozy. I especially appreciated the way the owner greeted everyone who enters and thanked everyone who leaves with notable warmth and small-town friendliness. The menu reads like a true diner - with all-day breakfast and brunch options, as well as standard lunch fare. We ordered a Santa Fe salad and an L.A. burger - which comes with avocado, bacon, onion, lettuce, and tomatoes. The burger was pretty standard, but having it delivered on a warm brioche bun feels a little bit special. The accompanying fries were also great - crisp and potatoey on the inside. The salad, on the other hand, was a near triumph. Served on a large platter, there was a small field of well-seasoned chicken, shredded cheddar, vegetables, avocado, pico de gallo, and - best yet - some pieces of warm, toasted pita. I even sprinkled some pieces of bacon from my burger into this salad, and wow did that take it over the top. I dug into this salad with fair gusto and would absolutely come back for it...which is saying something, since I wouldn't expect to fall in love with a salad at a diner. Service was fantastic, and we were pleased with how reasonably priced our meal turned out to be. There's plenty of parking - either right out front or in the lot further back.

There were so many excellent options on Park Avenue that it was hard to select one, but we wound up settling on Suprema. The restaurant was an easy 5-minute walk from the train station and was, thankfully, very warm and cozy inside on that chilly evening. The service that we experienced throughout the night was also very friendly and gracious. After we were seated, we were told that the restaurant was BYO and that there was a liquor store across the street. I decided to quickly run over and grab a bottle of wine, since we had some time to enjoy our meal before the show started. In addition to the bottle of red, we began our dinner with a complementary bread basket and an appetizer to share. Sadly, the slices of bread were rather dry and hard, so I only indulged in a few bites. However, our Rice Ball starter was unbelievable! We received three massive, fried spheres of creamy risotto and gooey mozzarella that were sitting in a sweet, herbaceous basil pomodoro sauce. They were honestly the best arancini I thought I had ever had! For my main course, I ordered the Chicken Porcini, which included two large Bell & Evans boneless chicken breasts, served over a light, creamy golden potato puree. The poultry was topped with fresh, roasted cremini and porcini mushrooms, as well as a sweet wine and porcini glaze. It felt like an upscale, modern version of a chicken marsala. I adored every aspect of the dish, from the tender chicken to the aromatic mushrooms to the homestyle mashed potatoes (an item I do not even typically like). Suprema provided a stellar meal in a relaxed atmosphere that was the perfect pre-concert vibe we were looking for. Plus, the food was amazing, so we definitely made a wise choice in picking the place.

Felt like we were transported to a place in Greece! The open kitchen has a front display of fresh produce and seafood for added ambiance. Very nice. And we were served by a very professional and attentive waiter named Christian. To help with the selection of my wine, he offered me some to try. I thought that was a great way for them to introduce some new choices to us. Next we chose off the lunch special menu. Great deal since this restaurant is listed as a pricey place, the lunch menu kept the bill more reasonable for us. I have to give compliments to the wait staff. There was never an empy water glass, or a finished plate left on the table, and lemon was given whenever needed. The bottom line is that everything we got was deliscious! But to narrow it down, try the Tuna Tar Tar, the Grilled Salmon and the Mango Sorbet. Heard there is a violin on some evenings, and on Thursdays evening there's dancing to the 80's and 90's music. They also have outdoors seating with and without a tent. And valet parking offered as well. Thank you Elia for having a well put together restaurant and menu. Im looking forward to Thursday evenings for the dancing.!
