Typical Peruvian breakfast sandwiches like the chicharon & huevo con salchicha are the go to's. Also the lomo en jugo with bread on the side is just delicious. Pair any of these with a fresh juice and your set to start your day. The only down sides is that this location is small and normally packed so there is a wait and they aren't the best with a system of sitting people down. I ordered a Chicaron sandwich and a guanabana shake made with water not milk at the counter. They brought out really fast. The pork in my sandwich was substantial. The guy kept checking on me to see if I needed anything. He offered more hot sauce but I didn't need anymore. There's 3 TV with Spanish channel on. The place is spacious and really clean. I ordered a Lucuma shake with milk for the ride home. I can't really describe guanabana or what lucuma taste like. But they taste good! My 2 shakes and sandwich came out to be $15.50. Food is great and amazing but customer service is not great at all. They never pick up the phone at all for pick up so you're not even able to place an order for pick up. Once you arrive, you're waiting on line for 15 minutes to finally reach the cash register to order for the lady to make you wait another 5 minutes while she gets herself together and even asks what you would like to order and then with an attitude. Once ask for management, we are told they are cooking and cannot attend to us. We shouldn't have to go to a store to order because no one answers the phone. Although the food is great, the need a better management system. The store is always a zoo with chaos and no order. They need to do better. Let me start by saying that this is the closest you will get to REAL Peruvian food in the area of Passaic. This is my to go place for an after work snack and even a place where I take my friends for coffee. This is a cute little cozy place with an excellent variety of food. The empanadas are great too . Baked style. You can take some home. El surtido is a smoothie composed of pineapple, papaya, strawberry, banana and beets. This is a classic Peruvian smoothie. My best friend took me here last night as a late birthday dinner meet up and I was surely not disappointed. Driving through the town of Passaic at night was a little bit shady but finding parking nearby the restaurant was a breeze- free street parking was easily available. She ordered pan de chiccaron for us to share, along with a lucuma fruit shake. The chiccaron came with fresh delicious bread that was crispy, light and airy. The chiccaron was amazing - not dry, fried just right, without a trace of fat and not too salty. It was accompanied by sweet potatoes/yams that were grilled and soft. She instructed me to remove some of the insides of the fresh bread then fill the bread with 5-6 pieces of the fried pork and also around 4 pieces of the yams. The final product was a delicious, satisfying and tasty sandwich that tasted healthy and enjoyable. The shake was sweet, fresh and smooth. I decided to get some takeout and ordered salchipapas which is fresh fries with hot dogs and also got a pack of their sugar cookies with dulce de leche in the center. The fried and hot dog were fresh and tasty. The cookies were absolutely melt in your mouth delicious. I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area! read more
