I've ordered the empanadas multiple times and beef is my favorite. I love that it's full of flavor. The avena is also very delicious. they also have an espresso machine so the coffee is amazing. I would definitely recommend and will continue to visit the spot. The staff are always so nice which is a plus.

Hands down some of the best cubano sandwiches in the area! But don't forget the other options on the menu, I always take a few empanadas and papa rellenos when I go to pick up my order.

Cuban Sandwich. Perfectly toasted and moist and tender inside. With the perfect pickle crunch!

After passing by this place numerous times after work, I finally got a chance to try what they are calling "Cuban Sandwich King". They must close fairly early since they are closed when I pass by at 6pm. So this was a Saturday that I was able to make this visit. When I walked in, I was taken aback. Very basic and not much personality. Now I'm getting nervous. The gentleman that helped me was extremely nice. I looked at a menu and it was fairly simple. Hey. Then again... What are going to get at the Cuban Sandwich King??? Hence, that is what I got. When I got home, I immediately tore into this. It was phenomenal. King?? I'm not 100% sure on that but very close in the chain of command. I was fearing it would be dried out. Complete opposite. Perfectly toasted and just so satisfying. Definitely swing by if you're in the area for lunch and grab one of these babies. They do a great job!!!

Nice sandwich shop located in Lyndhurst. Two tables for seating and two counter stools. Mostly takeout. Good for breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Good cappuccino. Friendly service. Warm atmosphere.

Ordered for pickup and added 2 empanadas to my order when I was there. The chicken empanada was better than the beef, but both were good/okay. The Cuban sandwich was sooooo delicious! Must try!!! Made to perfection, bread was nicely pressed and the cheese was stretchy

I randomly drove by Andris one day and noticed this small place on the corner . Usually I travel to North Bergen and Union city to get my Cuban food. After seeing good reviews I knew I had to make a stop. If this place was good and I didn't have to drive to NB for a Cubano. I'm sold . Signs of a great Cuban sandwich shop. 1) when you walk in they are playing Cuban/Latin classics . 2) husband and wife ( I believe) combo. He was slapping together the sandwich's and she was pounding out the empanadas like a well oiled machine . 3) fridge was filled with Cuban soft drinks ( as well as others ) I started with the classics before trying anything else . I got the Cubano sandwich and a beef empanada. My opinion ..... well they didn't last more then 5 mins . They had no chance when they were tasting that good!!! Good food . Very nice owners . Can't wait to go back and try the other stuff . My wife has already given me her order hahaha

Their empanadas and Cuban sandwiches are awesome. Also they have all the Spanish Sodas that you can't find anywhere

When I first stepped into this place, I had a good feeling about this cuban. Came here with some co-workers, before one of them could ask what the cuban special was the guy behind the counter read his mind and told us it had chorizo in it. So of course we all got the Cuban Special. While I was waiting i got the beef stuffed yuca, there was nothing yuca about it. Nicely fried on the outside but still soft on the inside and the beef wasn't dry at all. Now on to the sandwich: Bread - crispy as it should be, you hear that nice crunch when you bite in. Pork - the ham was good, and the shredded pork was not dry Pickles - Needed more Chorizo - Nice addition to the sandwich Cheese - I wanted a little bit more Garlic Sauce - very tasty, recommend getting a side of it to add some more flavor Overall a very good sandwich, I do wish it was a little bigger though. It is definitely on my list for as one of the better cuban sandwiches I have had in the area.

Great place and service. One of the best sandwiches I have eaten thus far. The owner is super friendly and respectful. Great spot at a great price. Highly recommend it. Have to try the empanadas also.

Just didn't have the Cuban sandwich taste. We were both disappointed and were expecting something more.

After my first visit, I can say the tongue-in-cheek spirit of Vinnie Mootz's signage carries right through the front door and into its lineup of "SANGWEECHES." I ordered "The Nicky Mootz" -- cutlet, bacon, hot sauce, and fresh mootz -- and enjoyed it immensely in the friendly, medium-sized dining room. The pizza, which I plan to try on a future visit, looked excellent, and the small assortment of hand-stretched mozzarellas is reason enough to stop back in the next time I'm passing through. It's a Jersey sandwich -- excuse me, sangweech -- shop with all the charm, humor, and flavor you'd hope for the community!

Chicken Parmesan with vodka sauce (8.7/10) - Bread was toasty with a nice crunch. Vodka sauce was light and creamy, and the mozzarella was very fresh (lots of cheese pulls). Italian Sub with the works 9.2/10 - Bread was very soft and gave a nice bite to the sandwich. They were very generous with the meats, cheese, and fixings. I know there's a million Halal spots popping up, and I will admit I'm very, very picky when it comes to platters. I miss the good ol' days on 53rd street in NYC... I came by around 10pm and was served quickly by a friendly employee. They have platters, burgers, wraps, wings, chicken tenders, fries, etc. I ordered the chicken rice platter (~$13.50). They cook the meat fresh on the grill and then you choose your toppings at the salad bar (olives, onions, peppers, tomatoes, etc.). It's a bit pricier than other places, but the portion size is huge. The container felt HEAVY lol. It's just a shame it went to waste because I really didn't enjoy the food. I only finished about half of it before I tossed the rest. The white sauce was almost flavorless and was VERY watery. The chicken wasn't as well-seasoned. No distinct spices or aroma. Every bite left me with a very greasy and salty taste in my mouth. The side salad was just okay. I was disappointed. The only saving grace was the rice... it was fluffy and the best part of the whole platter. Not sure if I came on an off night or...? Don't let my review stop you from trying. It might just not be the Halal spot for me.

This is definitely a place to bring your side piece... your main girl will never know. Later that afternoon, before picking up my cat I decided to go inside. I wound up getting a few different items. Spices, chocolate covered pretzels, riced heart of palm, a garlic herb and oil blend, and some oil crackers. The had beautiful olive selection and a nice gourmet pickle section as well. I did sample one of the pickles and it was delicious but I was in a little bit of a time crunch. I believe I met the owner of the shop today and he was really kind and helpful. He was able to point out what was made in house and what was ordered for the shore and from where it came from. They also have an online store where you can order some of these products. As of now, there are some items you can't get on the webpage that are only available in the store, I already told my husband I would love to return in the near future.

They didn't stand out from the average jar of pickles I'd be able to buy from the supermarket or even generic brand from Walmart. That aside, I appreciated the kindness of the owner. He said I was allowed to try anything before buying. The freshly packaged candies looked tasty and were tasty. Unfortunately, Pickles are a little more difficult to keep up with as they have a shorter shelf life. I would come back if they made them less salty, more flavorful, and replaced them when the time is right.
