The staff was very nice, attentive, and made sure we were taken care of throughout the meal. The location is decent and the ambiance is nice. Nothing overly fancy, but it has a good vibe and is a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would definitely consider coming back to try more of the menu.

We've always enjoyed the food, the service, and the overall experience, so we decided to celebrate my birthday at the Harrison location. We loved the decor, the food was great, and the service was just as good as we've come to expect. The only reason we're giving 4 instead of 5 stars was the photographer. We politely declined having our picture taken the first time, but instead of simply moving on, he stood by our table staring at me, which felt awkward. A second time, he asked my husband if he wanted a picture, and when my husband said no, he replied, "It's just a picture." We had already declined, and that should have been respected. The third time, while my family and the staff were singing Happy Birthday, he took several photos without us realizing it. He later returned with about five printed pictures already placed in frames and asked which one I wanted to buy. I had to decline again, and he clearly wasn't happy about it. It was especially odd that the photos were printed without our consent. When we go out to eat, we want to relax, enjoy our meal, and celebrate with our family--not feel pressured into buying a service we already said we weren't interested in. A simple "no, thank you" should be enough. Other than that, we had a wonderful experience, and we'll definitely continue visiting Mambo because we truly enjoy the restaurant. I just hope management considers a less intrusive approach to the photography service so guests can enjoy their meal without repeated interruptions.

Something that is a rarity in 2026! The first thing you are offered is soup. Along with fresh baked bread. My favorite dish is the shrimp in garlic (camarones al ajillo), simple but delicious. Served with yellow rice & spanish potatoes. Dont forget to dip the bread in the garlicky sauce! Finish your meal with an espresso & a flan catalan (if you have room). I have enjoyed many, many meals at Casa Vasca & have always been treated like a member of the family. Never a rude server. A+ service. Casa Vasca is not just a restaurant, for some of us who grew up in the area, its home! And you know what they say, "theres no place like home"!

We came in with a group of six and ordered paella to share together. Everything was fine in the beginning, and they even served soup and bread to us. Then our group was quite surprised when we looked at the bill and found out we were charged $20 for the soup. I mean it would be totally fine if they didn't serve us the soup. But they didn't notify us about the charge for the soup and gave us the option to opt-out. Basically, they imposed an extra order of the soup on us without our permission. Then when we split the bill among our group, the staff gave us a nasty attitude with rolling eyes. I mean. How our group handled the bill and split the payments among our members is none of your fucking business. Save your money and avoid this at all costs. Don't even want to call them a restaurant since they are not even qualified to be one. There are so many better places with much friendlier services in the area.

The chicken was tender and delicious, and the pernil was flavorful, juicy, and tasted fresh. You really can't go wrong with pernil at a good Puerto Rican restaurant--it's one of those dishes that never disappoints when it's done right. Unfortunately, the second visit was a completely different experience. The food was much too greasy, and it tasted as though it had been cooked in old oil. By the third visit, the food just didn't have the same flavor or quality as it did the first time. Because of those inconsistent experiences, when my fiancé asked if I wanted to go back, I decided to pass. It's disappointing because our first visit was so good, but I need consistency to want to keep coming back.

Tabitha, the waitress who watched over us, was very helpful and solicitous. The planning was seamless. Francisco worked with my daughter, with me, and with our florist to make sure that everything went smoothly. He answered all our questions. We asked for a microphone for speeches and an extra table for photos. The restaurant was able to receive our decorations as early as 10:30am for a 4:00pm event and disposed of them afterwards. Find out about the rooms before deciding which one you want. The Flamenco Room is on the main floor and is spacious and pleasant. The wine room is in the basement with steps. I'm told it's darker and smaller but it would be quieter and more private. I loved Mompou before our party and now I love it even more.

We shared several tapas...croquettes, calamari, veggie and chicken empanadas, olives, and the traditional paella. We ordered too much, as per. Everything was delicious. The paella rice was more of a risotto, but good nevertheless. The smoke detector was doing that annoying-ass low battery chirp the entire time. Not fun! Clean and efficient staff. Good drinks!
