Found this place totally by chance while running errands, and wow--I'm so glad I did! The food was amazing--flavorful, fresh, and came out super quick. Everything we ordered hit the spot perfectly. So after my review the owner messaged me and let me know he listened to feedback and to come again. So I finally managed to stop in and I do see the improvements. For one, there was a nice big menu board so I don't have to look at a menu printed at the register. I didn't have coffee this time since I prefer coffee when it's cold out, but I can at least say the self serve area looks like it's gone. I can't say if the coffee is better, but it seems a little more professional when it's not sitting out like an office break room. They also have nicely printed menus to go that look nicely done. I got another AvoKodo sandwich and it tasted great. If you are looking for a breakfast or sandwich place, this does seem like a good option and a good price. Some of the things that seemed unprofessional have been addressed. I do think it would be nice to see things in the display cases instead of having them empty, but maybe they are used more earlier in the day and stuff runs out. I like the food and I like improvements that have been made so I'd recommend this place for a quick bite. read more

The order I just received reminded me of why I don't spend my money here. They got one of my items wrong, they sent me pretty much whatever they wanted. They forgot one of my items as most of the times I've ordered from there and lastly the pizza empanada was disgusting, filled with air, grease and a little bit of sauce. I pass this spot regularly and finally decided to give it a shot. The papaya smoothie is so fresh and absolutely delicious, and this is my go to spot for it. The empanadas are solid. I love the chicken and cheese especially, my favorite there. The pastry on all the empanadas is light and flaky, tasty on its own without the filling. The beef empanadas are solid, enough to solve my empanada craving but not the best I've ever had. The prices are really cheap which is a huge plus. I've been ordering from this restaurant for years now. I'm ashamed at the amount of money I've spent here over the years. However, the quality and service just get worse & worse. On numerous occasions I've waited 20+ minutes for my order which was sitting on the counter! They've also become very inconsistent. I loved the fried pork chop with tostones from here. Suddenly I order and it's now a smoked pork chop. Not what I expected and not nearly as tasty as the SEASONED pork chop they used to sell. Also, the menu does not reflect the change. I've also ordered their soothing hot tea which was made with fruits and herb& spices. Sometimes I get all the fixings, other time I get a TEA BAG. I arrived at 1:10ish and by 1:30 nobody has taken our order yet so i thought i had to order up in the front and i didn't know. I ordered 2 sandwiches, cappuccino and 2 waters. Also There was a lady that just walked in and got in line too because she saw me ordering upfront then the server told her that she was going to take her order where she's seated instead. So red flag #1. Also i was seated where they can see me and she also saw me walk in too . Next My food came out and after about 5ish minutes she asked if we're missing anything ( which was another sandwhich ) Took another 7 min.. and still no waters yet so i had to go up front and ask for the waters i had ordered ... I was looking forward to the opening of Cafecito for months, since I live in the area, and I couldn't wait to try all the different kind of coffees this place was going to offer. Turns out, Cafecito only offers ONE type of regular Coffee and it's from a self serving machine!! Lol!!! On top of that, the coffee tasted like rubbing alcohol and I could only take 3 sips before having to toss it. On a semi-positive note, the empanadas were decent but nothing to brag about. The best part about this place was the wall decor. I really wanted to give this place 2 stars since the wall decor was nice - but there is no way that this is a 4 star cafe spot. You are better off going to Fine Grind by Willowbrook mall which is my personal favorite. I really was hoping Cafecito would be my new home for coffee and hanging out, I'm disappointed on how bad this place turned out to be. If the owner, or if one of the owners friend's are reading this, please don't be afraid to reach out to me. I really think this place has potential, but it needs some serious help. I may even have a friend who lives a few blocks away who can maybe work their part-time and give the coffee some life. Placed a large order at 11am. They told me it would be ready by 1:45pm. Long story short after a very frustrating afternoon, I didn't have my complete order until FOUR THIRTY in the afternoon. Half the food was incorrect, some orders were missing and just overall not good. My calls were ignored and I was told it was my fault for ordering too late. They also charged my card several times since it was an online order. One charge for $50 with no reason. Still have PTSD from this lunch order from hell. read more

Just coming back from Cafecito. I ordered 10 empanadas (6 chicken and 4 beef), they make them fresh so as time went by I saw the lady start to put my empanadas in the bag. 1) she had no gloves handling my empanadas - illegal 2) she used her hand to put one of my beef empanada in the bag. (I saw her put one with no glove and the rest was with the equipment) I told the lady at the front desk and she asked the cook if she put it in the bag with her hands in Spanish. As if I was lying! I literally just saw her. Of course the cook denied it. They made the excuse that "the kitchen is clean"and to "not worry about it". Gross. And not a way to handle that situation. All I can say the empanadas are cheap but I will not be touching any of my beef empanadas. They did offer to make new ones but that is not the point. It's about sanitation.
