Good dinner spot - honestly can't go wrong with coming here. Service is always friendly, they have limited parking but I believe it can be valet depending on the day. I liked how their guac had chunks of mangos & they used plantain chips. We got their version of yuca fries - wasn't too much of a fan since the fries were really thick.

Nice spot! I will say the service is on point and the food is very good and fairly priced. The ambiance is nice and versatile - whether you want a family night or date night Rumba works! I've ordered a number of items off their menu and I can't say I've had anything that wasn't flavorful! One thing I will say is that if the locals of the culture come here then they are doing something right so I do recommend Rumba Cumbaba to everyone!

Came here with my daughter yesterday after a day of shopping. We had an absolutely fantastic meal. I truly enjoyed the fish, which was prepared with garlic and white wine. I had the most amazing salad with avocado as well. We often go to the Jersey City location, but this place was great and service was excellent. We didn't stay for dessert or coffee because we were already over full. My daughter wanted taking half her meal home with her. So glad we stopped in.

We went in a Friday night just before 6:00 and were lucky enough to get a table, by the time we left the dining room was almost full. Parking - valet of street Service - all the staff were friendly, accommodating and available if we needed anything. They had these cute little racks that they bring to your table for your purse or Jacket/ I've never seen one before. Drinks ~ very good. I had the blanco tequila drink with grapefruit and my husband had the Cuban equivalent of a Long Island iced tea. Dinner ~ the chicken Mofongo and Roos vieja were a good size portion and very good. They were able to accommodate my husband's shrimp allergy and served his ropa vieja with rice and beans because the mofongo is fried in the same oil as shellfish so he couldn't have that. We saved room to share the flan for dessert- very creamy! This was our first time and it satisfied our craving for Cuban food.

Solid food. Never disappoints! They are always consistent whether you dine in or take food to go. We love their lunch specials, fair prices and great portions. The service is always fast and the staff is always kind.

3.75 Decided to stop in for some dinner and was seated right away. Started with the chicharroncitos de puerco and it was alright! The pieces that had the meat/fat were super tasty! Then we got the plate with everything which was good too! Great option to share. I personally loved the pork more and the rice! My fiancé loved the beef. Then we ended with the coco flan which was honestly the highlight of the entire meal! So so so tasty!

I'm no stranger to Rumba Cubana... I usually frequent the Guttenberg location, but I happened to be in the area and came to this one (Clifton). I wasn't surprised that the quality of food, service, and atmosphere were great! Glad to see there's consistency between different locations. My order... *Ropa Vieja (~$15) - A classic Cuban dish made with braised shredded beef, simmered with tomatoes, bell peppers, olives, and sherry wine. You can choose one side and I went with white rice and black beans. I inhaled the entire meal in a hot minute. IT WAS THAT GOOOOOOOOD. Tender beef, rich tomato sauce, perfectly cooked rice topped with salt + olive oil, meaty beans.... My tummy was happy. *Tostones Montaditos (~$10) - 6 fried & pressed green plantains topped with skirt steak with chimichurri. ORDER THIS if you love plantains. The tostones were crispy and paired well with the juicy steak. And the chimichurri sauce?! SO fresh! Probably one of the best I've tried. *Patron del Pueblo (~$13) - This was the cocktail of the month for October. It included patron silver, ancho reyes poblano, mango puree, lime juice, and ginger ale. It tasted more like passion fruit, which I absolutely love. It was on the sweeter side and it definitely could have had more alcohol. Tasty drink overall. There are so many things I have yet to try on the menu... I highly recommend Rumba Cubana if you want to satisfy your Cuban cravings. Delicious food, friendly service, and a lively atmosphere!

The food was terrific, as was the service. The restaurant itself was very friendly and spacious. I got the bistec salteado, and it was cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend.

This was my first time at the Clifton Rumba and it was a pleasant visit. The restaurant has a beautiful exterior decor and plenty of parking. Upon entering, you'll take in Cuban wall art, tropical decorations, dim, but comfortable lighting and a very attentive...and well dressed wait staff. I started with my favorite drink....the proverbial Mamey Shake. Once again, and in every Rumba Cubana, it was AMAZING. Our appetizer was El Rumberito (translates to the little rumba dancer. It included Ham Croquettes, Corn Tamale, Beef Empanada, Corn Fritters, Crispy Pork Bites and a Beef Stuffed Potato Topped With Pickled Red Onions served with Rumba's Homemade Hot Sauce). It was a good choice and allowed us to try a little bit of everything. Our entrees were both DELICIOUS, perfectly seasoned, and the portions were filling. They were....Picadillo a la Cuba de Ayer (Cuban style ground beef, simmered with tomato, potatoes, spanish olives, raisins, peppers & onions) and Bistec de Pollo a la Plancha (Boneless chicken breast cutlet marinated in mojo sauce, and topped with grilled onions). I enjoyed all of what the Clifton Rumba Cubana offered and is highly recommended.

This place was cool.. From the Cuban origin art work around the dining room walls;, to the lit up bar , n cool Cuban vibes in the seating area ., Took my son for his 20th bday dinner. We was not disappointed, got my beer in a chillled mason jar w box hile my son got the virgin pina colada .. for apps,we had empanadas and garlic shrimp which was fresh n full of flavor..nice!!! , service was awesome and waiter was always on point ,provided meal info and specials with grace ., We both enjoyed the skirt steak meal which was SLAMMING!!! Yummm .. I added shrimp and a side of fried yuca , n house salad... I recommend this place for dates, group gatherings, and/ or just plain dinner... ps., took an additional plate of skirt steak/rice n beans to go for the wife ;) .. bill $170..

Stopped by Rumba Cubana after work for some drinks and a quick bite with my GF. The place is spacious with a decent crowd for a Wednesday evening, and plenty of waiters on standby, giving a bit of a "security guard" vibe as they stood around, ready to assist at a moment's notice. Starting with drinks, I ordered the Caipirinha, which I've been fond of ever since trying it at Fogo de Chao. I opted for the passion fruit version, which was decent but not quite on the same level as the one I've had at Fogo. My girlfriend tried the Mula Cubana, their take on a Moscow Mule. It was tasty, though a bit too sweet, and I would've liked more ginger. Finally, I asked our waiter, Hollman, for a strong drink recommendation, and he suggested Papa's Mentirita, their version of a Cuba Libre. It was exactly what I was looking for--strong and flavorful, perfect to cap off my night without risking a hangover for work the next day. For appetizers, we started with the Calamares Rumberos, which were well-cooked and paired with a unique dipping sauce that really elevated the dish with its bold, tangy, and slightly spicy flavors. We also tried the Ceviche De Pescado Traditional. Unfortunately, this was a big letdown. The ceviche was overwhelmed by lime, to the point where it was hard to taste the fish or any other ingredients. We didn't even finish it and had it taken away. For the main course, my girlfriend ordered the Vaca Frita, which was served in a plantain bowl with shredded beef. The beef was delicious and flavorful and paired well with the fried crispy plantain. The dish overall was pretty good. We skipped dessert this time around, feeling satisfied after the meal. Our waiter, Hollman, was outstanding throughout the night. Very attentive and helpful with menu suggestions, and even took the ceviche off our bill without us asking when he noticed we didn't enjoy it. That gesture really elevated the service experience for us. One thing to note is the parking situation. The layout is a bit strange, with cars blocking each other in. I didn't want to risk getting blocked in, so I opted to park on the street. Overall, Rumba Cubana was a pleasant surprise. For the quality of service, food, and drinks, the price was more affordable than I expected, making it an excellent value. I could definitely see myself returning to try more menu items, and I would highly recommend the Clifton location, especially for the great service.

The place was packed, and we were with a baby, but luckily got a table pretty quickly. The menu has great combo options where you can mix crab, shrimp, lobster, and more--all in one. TBH, that's the way to go instead of ordering everything separately. We ordered two Combo F along with shrimp fried rice and Cajun chicken fried rice. Combo F comes with Snow crab legs (1/2 lb), lobster tail, shrimp (1/2 lb), Potatoes (2 pc), Corn (1/2) Now comes the fun part... The seafood arrives in a plastic bag with your choice of sauce (Cajun, Garlic Butter, lemon pepper, Old Bay, Island style). They shake it all up, and then it's on you to dive in. You're given gloves, crackers, and tools to break open crab legs and lobster shells. Basically It's messy--but its beautiful mess ..lol I started off all proper with gloves and tools, but after some point, I ditched the gloves because it was just easier to enjoy the food that way. The Cajun sauce was absolutely delicious--rich, spicy, and full of flavor. I even ordered plain rice just to mix it with the leftover gravy... and wow, that was a amazing. Highly recommend trying that! Everything is essentially boiled seafood tossed in sauce, so don't expect anything grilled or crispy--it's all about the flavors and experience. The fried rice was tasty too, though the rice itself was a bit on the harder side. This isn't just a meal--it's an experience. Perfect for going out with friends, getting messy, and enjoying good seafood together.

There were so many excellent options on Park Avenue that it was hard to select one, but we wound up settling on Suprema. The restaurant was an easy 5-minute walk from the train station and was, thankfully, very warm and cozy inside on that chilly evening. The service that we experienced throughout the night was also very friendly and gracious. After we were seated, we were told that the restaurant was BYO and that there was a liquor store across the street. I decided to quickly run over and grab a bottle of wine, since we had some time to enjoy our meal before the show started. In addition to the bottle of red, we began our dinner with a complementary bread basket and an appetizer to share. Sadly, the slices of bread were rather dry and hard, so I only indulged in a few bites. However, our Rice Ball starter was unbelievable! We received three massive, fried spheres of creamy risotto and gooey mozzarella that were sitting in a sweet, herbaceous basil pomodoro sauce. They were honestly the best arancini I thought I had ever had! For my main course, I ordered the Chicken Porcini, which included two large Bell & Evans boneless chicken breasts, served over a light, creamy golden potato puree. The poultry was topped with fresh, roasted cremini and porcini mushrooms, as well as a sweet wine and porcini glaze. It felt like an upscale, modern version of a chicken marsala. I adored every aspect of the dish, from the tender chicken to the aromatic mushrooms to the homestyle mashed potatoes (an item I do not even typically like). Suprema provided a stellar meal in a relaxed atmosphere that was the perfect pre-concert vibe we were looking for. Plus, the food was amazing, so we definitely made a wise choice in picking the place.

I wish she had told us this sooner, as we had to place a new order for my in-laws while we were almost done with our own food. strange that they were out of snow crab legs and dungeness crab so early in the evening and with so few customers. also the restaurant is freezing cold, dingy, and dark, which adds to the over all unpleasant dining experience. definitely skip this place!

I had never had steamed skate anywhere before so my acquaintance told me that I wouldn't like it because it's "pungent" but I'm so glad I got to try it because I LOVED IT. So savory, flavorful, and packed with umami. Another good thing is their extensive menu. I can't wait to come back to try the rest of their dishes. The interior decor is very nice as well. The high ceilings and black color theme give it an elevated feel. And the staff is very nice and accommodating CONS: their air conditioning was broken when we went in the middle of summer (which I'm sure they'll eventually fix). I didn't mind because I love the heat but my acquaintance was sweating uncomfortably. Also, the food was good and some dishes were great but I wouldn't say it's the "best I ever had." The grilled beltfish was very plain (and bland) until I squeezed lemon juice all over it. It's the type of place that has endless comfort food and is your regular go-to spot (or go to order in) when you feel too lazy or tired to cook (or hungover) rather than a special occasion spot This place is decent and reliable. And everyone needs one of those in their back pocket to lean on.

When I told my mom where we were going her reaction- "omg that place is still around?!? It use to be excellent back in the day!" Well I am happy to report this place is just as good today as it was during my mother's heyday. I decided to get a few oysters and clams to start off with and everything was just so fresh. As an entree the Seafood in a spicy red sauce was easily one of the best I have had in a very long time. There was a generous amount of seafood within the dish, the sauce I swear I could just drink it out of a cup and the pasta was cooked perfectly. My husband got the bbq ribs which I didn't try but you could see how they just slid right off the bone and he couldn't stop talking about how good they were. We ended our meal with some strong espresso. I enjoyed how it is a very casual atmosphere with a nice bar area that had a few TVs to watch some sports games. No need to dress to impress. The service was a little bit on the slower side but the waitress was very nice. The man who brought out my oysters, I asked him which were the east coast and which where in the west coast oysters, along with asking him where in the west coast my oysters were from and he couldn't tell me. I just think a place should just know these things is they are selling them. Nonetheless we still really enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to return.

The Jersey Shore restaurants will always have an advantage when it comes to seafood because of location. North Jersey offers a diverse, high-quality seafood scene, ranging from upscale Mediterranean-style fish markets to casual, beloved neighborhood spots. Situated less than 2.5 miles from MetLife Stadium, Biggie's has been a neighborhood institution located off of Route 17 South in Carlstadt and is best known for its clams-on-the-half-shell and wide selection of beers on tap. My partner, our friends, and I have been to this family-owned establishment numerous times and decided to have dinner last night. The reservation was easily made via OpenTable. Upon entering this casual vibe, we were greeted by the host. There is a lively sports bar side full of TVs and a dining room side, where we got a booth immediately by the window. Their menu has a wide array of options, rivaled only by the countless photographs and mementos that fill nearly every inch of wall space. There are many sandwiches, a half-dozen salads, thin-crust pizzas, and a substantial range of pastas. For starters, we decided on two dozen East Coast oysters on a half shell and Steamed Mussels with white wine butter broth. A side of Italian bread was brought for dipping. As a main meal, we opted for the Turkey Chili, Baby Back Ribs, Fried Calamari, Caesar salad, and Fries. The food was excellent and delicious, using the freshest ingredients. The portions were healthy. The staff went out of their way to make one feel welcome, creating a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Our server was Hadiyah. The price was reasonable. The Garden State's seafood scene is a testament to the state's rich maritime heritage, offering something for every palate, whether one's a regular or a first-timer. This is why people keep coming back week after week.

Stepped in and was greeted by the nicest lady who immediately offered me a sip of their "uptown" drink - a mix of iced tea and lemonade. It was quite tasty. That was just the beginning of the warmth that this establishment exuded, they were super nice and friendly. They asked my name, but I forgot to ask theirs. As I waited for my food, she began bringing me samples of the sides and desserts. She had me sample the banana pudding (she asked first if I ate bananas) - this was super flavorful of banana, as another review said, not just vanilla pudding with some sliced bananas in it. Beyond that, she brought me a little piece of frosted banana bread, a dense, rich flavorful lemony cake, and a frosted pound cake. The lemony one was my favorite. Next came a bit of sweet potatoes, with huge flavor that I haven't really experienced before in a dish like this. She also let me try the mac and cheese (great spices in it!) and collard greens (tastes just how you expect!), as well as one of their "French fries" which is a round slice of potato, really good and so much more interesting than normal fries. She brought this out with her rib sauce to taste/dip, which was also good. She also had some great conversation about boxing and bringing the neighborhood together. When I got my food, it was bursting out of the takeout container and she had to use a rubber band to keep it closed. The cutlery set came with A dumdum lollipop and a piece of bubble gum as well. I ordered: 2 piece fried chicken - leg and thigh with mac and cheese and collard greens and cornbreak. They also added a few fries in, coleslaw, and hot sauce. The chicken was tasty, but the pieces were huge! The cornbread was dense and sweet, delicious. The coleslaw was super creamy. I'll be back and I'd encourage anyone nearby to check it out.
