Found another great Korean spot in NJ and the prices are so reasonable. The lunch combo is a great deal. We got the seaweed oyster soup with beef and grilled mackerel. The soup was so fresh and flavorful that I would honestly come back just for it. The mackerel was a big portion, crispy outside and tender inside. The Mul Naengmyeon was such a surprise. It's not the usual sweet and sour style. The noodles were super thin and cold, and the broth had a really unique flavor. I loved it. We also tried the Sundae Platter and Seafood Scallion Pancake. The pancake was a little oily but so good, with big pieces of seafood. Big portions, good prices, and lots of side dishes. We ate really well for under $20 per person. Good for both a quick solo meal or coming with a group.

This place is the real deal. My parents and I went last night and ordered the pork bone soup (gamjatang) and the crispy flounder. Both were amazing. Great service and very clean interior. We sat there and ate in silence so the only pic i got was the pic after we scraped everything off the pot... so good. It was $70 total for the meal. I love this place. Definitely going to come back

Went during grand opening week and everything was great. It comes to no surprise as this is their 2nd location. First in Flushing. Greeted and seated immediately. Crabs were tasty. Looking forward to try more items. Byob. Parking not great in this area.

Food is good and actually a lot. My wife had the personal pork bone hangover soup. It was a lot for her but the meat did fall off the bone and it was delicious.." I had the kalbi and I love the seasoning and sauce they put on the beef. Service was actually good but it wasn't crowded when I got there. Did get crowded right after. Will come back.

Banchan. Fried fish are for lunch only. Need to ask for the fish cakes...yummm

A generous pot of goodies to keep you warm in the cold weather. The calamari was especially tasteful. We enjoyed the experience except the place gets busy and it might take a while to catch the waitress' attention.

Hello again, so I finally tried this place and it was good but not great. Service was great though very nice waitresses. Really nice restaurant. Host was really nice. Dumplings were really good. For the entree I ordered the seafood stew and it was iight. But the seafood was as fresh as could be and I never had that level of freshness in seafood before. Eating it with the kimchi made it good but with salt and pepper made it really good. If you ate it plain then it was nothing to be great about. My mother ordered short rib and I had a taste and it was actually good. I might go back here again though.

Beef Rib Soup (Galbitang)

PROS: very tender and soft (fall off the bone and melt in your mouth) pork bone hangover stew and bulgogi. Surprisingly, my favorite was the steamed skate. I had never had steamed skate anywhere before so my acquaintance told me that I wouldn't like it because it's "pungent" but I'm so glad I got to try it because I LOVED IT. So savory, flavorful, and packed with umami. Another good thing is their extensive menu. I can't wait to come back to try the rest of their dishes. The interior decor is very nice as well. The high ceilings and black color theme give it an elevated feel. And the staff is very nice and accommodating CONS: their air conditioning was broken when we went in the middle of summer (which I'm sure they'll eventually fix). I didn't mind because I love the heat but my acquaintance was sweating uncomfortably. Also, the food was good and some dishes were great but I wouldn't say it's the "best I ever had." The grilled beltfish was very plain (and bland) until I squeezed lemon juice all over it. It's the type of place that has endless comfort food and is your regular go-to spot (or go to order in) when you feel too lazy or tired to cook (or hungover) rather than a special occasion spot This place is decent and reliable. And everyone needs one of those in their back pocket to lean on.

***this was at their other location…read more Even though the venue was small and there's limited seating, the food was so good. Best kimchi I've had in a while as well! The service was consistent, only once did we have to ask for refills for water. Food: we ordered the half and half raw marinated crab, bibimbap, abalone congee and fried oysters. Raw crabs: marinated and seasoned perfectly. We aren't a spicy loving family, but this was perfect amount for us that we could handle the spice. Our lips and mouths burned, but the good tingle, not the fire breathing 911 burn. lol Fried oysters: well battered and fried, nicely aromatic Abalone congee: perfectly textured and the abalone meat and taste was present. This helped offset the spiciness of the crabs. Bibimbap: not your average clay pot type, this was on a plate and with lots of green vegetables. Also delicious! The Bon chon was different and excellent. Variety of different vegetables, pickled and fermented. We enjoyed them all. FYI: there is a small parking lot as well

Ordered three things: 1) marinated crabs, small size (5/5). Always a must-get here. 2) ddukbaegi bulgogi (4.5/5) - Thinly sliced prime marinated beef ribeye casserole with rice cake and glass noodle and mushroom served in a sizzling hot pot. Really flavorful and so good to have on a cold day. 3) ahjae ppyo jjim (4.5/5) - Braised prime beef meat bones in soy reduction with carrots, radish, dates, chestnut, rice cake and glass noodles. We got non-spicy. It came in a HUGE bowl. Definitely meant to be shared with a group. Took leftovers home and it was still yummy the next day mixed with knife-cut noodles I had at home.

The staff was friendly but they were definitely very busy. While waiting they do have an area that you can play old school video games and a section where you can buy candy for about $2. When we got seated - you order via an ipad. They had sets for pork and all the beef options were individually ordered. The sets do come with a stew and a steamed egg. We got the two pork option which included Pork Jowl and marinated pork - the meat itself was yummy. They also cook for the meat for you and they were fairly attentative about cooking the items for you but I will say since they were busy, the sever was busy running back and forth. They are very known for their sauce made of anchioves which I thought was just alright and not super special. Overall - it was an alright KBBQ place, I've definitely had better KBBQ places in New York. I also do wish they had beef set options instead of just pork options.

I found out much later that the owner was the one actually serving and cooking for us. We were able to walk in with a party of ten on labor day. Super accommodating staff, owner knows what he's doing. Never caught his name unfortunately We ordered 4 different combos and dude was able to cook for all of us at the same time. Everyone left stuffed and I even had leftovers for the next day. I didn't get to eat everything but here's what I tried. The duck combo, pork combo, nayengmen (cold noodle I butchered the spelling I know sorry) and corn cheese. They don't do the brisket sauce like they do in la. Instead I think it was a mixture of miso and vinegar? With onions soaking in it. Paired perfectly with the pork. I've never had anything like it before. The thin cut pork belly was probably my favorite out of all the pork. The marinated duck combo was pretty interesting. It kinda felt like a ttkekbokki dish? But a little light on the rice cakes. The duck itself tasted like some really good charcuterie. It was a little too spicy for me but super good. We ended up opting to throw everything into the fried rice at the end and it made for some perfect late night leftovers that I'm enjoying as I write this review. Lovely place, hope they do well. Once we were finally seated though, the food came out fast and our server/cook was very friendly and joined in on our convos. We loved everything we ordered, especially trying the clam gui and marinated duck for the first time. They make the kimchi fried rice at the end in the duck leftovers and it was so tasty! I would love to come back because the food was so tasty but maybe put ourselves on the waitlist next time since the space isn't large and you just have to get lucky with when you show up.

Came on a weekday night and there weren't many people in the store. - Deluxe Gomtang - I think the difference between the normal gomtang and the deluxe version is that they give a bit more meat and rice. I really liked the gomtang as the flavors were really rich especially when elevated by the pepper. - Seolleongtang - Clear and beautiful broth that went really well with salt. I felt like the meat was not as tender as I hoped but still made me think of my favorite Korean restaurant where I grew up. - Kong-guksu - I didn't know what to expect of this dish as I've never heard of it or tried it before but I didn't really like the dish. No matter how much salt/pepper I put in, there still didn't seem to be a lot of flavor. I ended up dumping the Korean Pickled Onion banchan in which helped elevate the flavor a lot. - Mini KimchiJeon - When I read this off the menu, I though the kimchi pancake would be extremely small but it turned out to be quite bit and very delicious. You order at the front and pick up your food when it's ready. It's actually a really convenient system, and since there is no table service, there's no expectation to leave a gratuity. The food itself is consistently good. The parking lot is very, very small and shared with the cafe next door, so parking can be a squeeze. Because it's so popular, it gets very busy during prime dining hours. Even when I've ordered takeout, there can sometimes be a decent wait to get your food so I recommend order online or over the phone ahead. They do charge a little extra if you pay with a credit card to cover the fees. If you visit during the summer months, you absolutely have to try the Naeng Myeon (cold noodle soup) or the Bibim Naeng Myeon (spicy cold noodles). They really hit the spot and are incredibly refreshing. Highly recommend!

They rotate the banchans and we get something a little different each time we go and they're all very good. One thing that really stands out is their steamed eggs. The service is great as they come and grilled the meats for you and they always grill it to perfection. The only downside side is I remembered they used to take reservations if you have a party if 7 or more but this is no longer the case. We wanted to come here for a party of 8 on the weekend and they don't take reservations on weekends so we almost never make it as a big group because there's normally a very long wait time unless you come super early. I've never had grilled oxtail before, or seen it on any other KBBQ menus, so this was an absolute must for me. Wooga is legit - authentic, service is phenomenal & attentive, and the interior is cozy but relatively well ventilated. We waited about 15 mins on a Sunday night for a party of 2. True to my over ordering tendencies, I ordered the oxtail, the small beef set, and a small naengmyun. This was SO much food. The grilled oxtail was definitely an interesting experience. It still has all of the richness & fattiness, but the little crispiness from the grilling also makes it a really addicting texture. It was admittedly a little hard to eat with the bone pieces and with it being scorching hot, but I would get this again. The beef from the set was good, but we were struggling to finish. Each set also came with a steamed egg and kimchi stew, and there's always just something about KBBQ kimchi stews that slaps. The naengmyun was decent, not the best I've had but okay. Service here though deserves 5 stars. I accidentally dropped kimchi juice on my dress, and the waiter gave me a stain remover immediately. We never ran low on water, banchan, or sauces, and all meats were cooked to our liking. Parking is available to the side of the restaurant. Will definitely be back!
