    It's a place you need to come back. The broth is light and flavorful, I love they put the snow fungus with the beef comtang ( beef soup ). It's a lot of meat and tendons are so soft and bounce. They'll refill the broth to your tang( soup hot pot). We couldn't finish the dish and we packed to go. They have the best take out container ( which is completely sealed) We need more people to come to eat for more dishes. Service is quite fast. They are quite busy, don't expect they refilled your tea without your call. Please let them know what you need and they'll do it for you.

    We came here after visiting Field Station Dinosaurs, which wasn't too far away. Originally, we were planning to go to BCD, but it was crowded, and I wanted to try the jokbal instead. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs -- we also ordered the seafood pancake, squid rice, and ox bone soup with tendons. The jokbal came out first, and while it was good, I found it a little on the dry side. The seafood pancake was the standout -- probably the best I've had so far, with huge chunks of seafood. The soup was initially served without salt and really needed it, but once we added some, it was much better. They were generous with the tendons, too. The best dish, though, was the squid rice, which sadly came last when we were already too full to enjoy it properly. Next time, I'd just order that and maybe the soup. Overall, the food was delicious and the service was even better. Unfortunately, my 2-year-old only wanted plain white rice, despite all the tasty dishes we had! A quick tip about parking -- don't make the same mistake we did! We paid for a street spot, but there's actually a large free parking lot for all the shops in the area. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the neighborhood.

    The food here was so good! The service was also spectacular. It's a great place for a quick meal or a place to hangout and have a nice meal with friends and family. Would definitely come back in the future.

    When did they move?! I had no idea they relocated to the plaza where the BCD Tofu House is. The new spot is so much more spacious, super clean, and has plenty of parking since it's inside the plaza. So convenient! I went to pick up takeout today, thinking it was still at the original location, and that's when I noticed the sign had changed. I can't wait to dine in. The new location looks really nice! I got the regular Ugeoji Gamjatang. This has been my go-to gamjatang spot in New Jersey for a while now, and I've been back multiple times. For anyone curious, Gamjatang is a pork bone stew with dried cabbage and potatoes. It's amazing comfort food during the fall and winter, perfect for chilly weather.

    Came here for the seafood scallion pancakes and left delighted. It might be my fault that i didnt read the menu before coming bc i didnt realize the two main meat options were pig feet (not my thing) and pork belly (love) . I ended up liking everything and i think if i ate pork feet I would also have enjoyed it. We ordered the regular portion of pork belly and was good, but too much for just two people. Service was fast and helpful. The restaurant is really pretty,.

    Been to the new location and it is spacious and clean !!!! The best selections are still on the menu, such as gamjatang and the jokbal (pork trotters), but other choices are great too !!!!! We tried beef and tendon in clear broth for 2, and the portion was good - after which we could have porridge with the leftover broth. Highly recommend it.

    Next to BCD Tofu house and sitting at the center of Fort Lee, Gamja Tang-tang is a great authentic spot that excels in its delivery of its two most popular dishes, 1) stew and 2) pig feet. The service is standard and perhaps what you would normally expect, the taste is great but ultimately what also takes the cake is the value you get from here especially as a sit down restaurant. The amount of food with both stew and pork dishes is more than plentiful and tasty to boot. Taste: 4.5/5 Service: 3.5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Value for money: 5/5 We had: 1. Seafood Pancake (Haemul Pajeon): This was very good, thick but unfortunately had a couple of overly charred notes 2. Banban Jokbal: This was a half spicy half normal pig feet dish, there are other renditions you could go for as well whether you would like more spicy or less spicy or other iterations, but this was a definite highlight and it fed 4 of us (a large version) 3. Vegetable pork bone stew: This dish is the definition of the feeling of eating at home, for those who know, will know, that this sort of stew is like a home stew and brings you back. That said, the pot is similar to that of a hotpot style pot, and comes with vegetables and pork bone already cooked and ready to eat. This pairs well with white rice. Overall a nice spot! If you bring cash you get up to a 5-7% discount, if you use card, you will be charged a credit card charge.

    Super tasty Korean dishes! The menu is limited but it's great because they seem to specialize in what they make. The seafood pancake was loaded with seafood (mainly squid) and was so crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside. The spicy pork bone soup with seafood was cooked so well. The broth was perfectly seasoned (so savory!) and tasted like they simmered the bone for a while to get the umami flavor. The restaurant itself is very new and clean looking. The decor inside is very warm and inviting. Would come back to try the bossam and other stews!

    I was born in the north, but I grew up in the south. If there's one thing that nobody can argue about it's that we know good food especially food that soothes your soul. If you're looking for soul food from Seoul (I'm sorry I had to do it at least once) then I'd highly recommend checking this place out. I'd argue that Gamjatang is Korea's true soul food and I've had it an unhealthy amount of times after drinking. This place does it excellently and the jokbal is really good too. Definitely more family friendly vibes than late night squabble with your friends, but don't let that detract you from checking it out.

    The food is pretty good. Not sure it's the best gamja tang in the area, but they have multiple varieties (& add ins). That's unique. Worth a visit or two.

    We use to go to the original location which was probably 1/2 the size but they've moved to a new location with a lot of open space and tables. Interior is modern and comfortable. Service was prompt and efficient. They were busy on a Monday night even at 9pm. Food is a same as before - hearty and delicious. But I did notice they now put the bossam and jokbal over a fire and they no longer serve a Kimchi pancake. Overall a very good meal!

    This restaurant relocated to a new place and ggl map is updated but uber is not, so make sure you get the right address if you order an uber :) Anyway, I think the quality might have gone down, or the jokbal in Korea is way too good that my standard for jokbal is now super high lol. I felt like it is not as good as before, but still better than many places here. The spicy one is quite spicy. Bossam and cold noodles are normal.

Finding parking is quite challenging given the location on a busy commercial street, so make sure you can come earlier than meal time to have better luck. They have waiting seats OUTSIDE so yeah I suppose it's quite popular at times. 1. ATMOSPHERE (3/5) - This location is small and it's pretty straightforward place. But I still found it cozy, with decent amount of seating (I think it can handle 15-20 max) and little details like wall with wood ledges and coat hangers were a nice touch. Seating was comfortable, though we tied our down parkas around our waist as another party had hung theirs on our side of coat hangers. 2. FOOD (4/5) - We dove right in to try their famous gejang (~Korean raw crab "ceviche") and ordered two of their namesake gookbap (rice with soup) to see how they are. Here's how it went down. - Gejang (App, $20, 2/5) - I had a hunch that on a holiday perhaps I should not order this, but my craving for succulent crab flesh be damned, I went for it and unfortunately, the meat was not well-marinated as I had feared. Gejang is a dish that has to sit in the complex soy-based pickling liquid for some time... and if restaurant is too busy churning them out or if it's slow season they won't do this properly. It not only wasn't fully marinated, I think the marinade was off because the spiciness was way out of balance and was overpowering. Perhaps knowing that it didn't have enough time to marinade the kitchen put extra diced jalapenos to compensate? Because that's exactly what it tasted like - you can't fool me. I tried to salvage the dish by asking a confused-looking girl server for some sugar, but yeah, can't un-do the overpowered marinade with sprinkling of sugar. This was really unfortunate as I was looking forward to a good bite. - Ahjae Gookbap (Main, $18, 5/5) - Thankfully, their namesake gookbap was spot-on to salvage our dining. Generous slabs of succulent beef on the bone and off the bone was swimming in a hearty beef/bone broth that tasted clean and focused. Portion was good, and can I say their banchan of fish cake moochim & unfermented kimchi & ggakdugi(radish kimchi) simply ROCKS? That was some serious deliciousness and dare I say value at $18 at a day and age where hamburger costs over $10! You win at life by ordering this! 3. SERVICE (4/5) - Our server girl was attentive and food came out early on though later it was a bit hard to get her attention promptly. We found ourselves putting hands in the air, and wavin' like we don't care... for a little while. They provide gloves & metal bin for gejang which was a nice touch for people to keep their fingers clean. One thing I'd like to mention: Plastic cup they served water in was all chipped on the rim so we instead went and got water from their hot & cold water dispenser which had metal cups (as many korean restaurants do). I'd suggest them to replace all these old plastic cups with metal ones for health reasons. Overall, we were satisfied with our meal. I'd chock up the gejang mishap to it being a holiday. I hope chef was just off with the marinade that day because I am a certified gejang pro(I catch and make my own) and that balance ain't it. But I will give it another try during warmer month and we'll definitely be back to try sooyook moochim, oyster jeon & other great soup offerings.

We got non-spicy. It came in a HUGE bowl. Definitely meant to be shared with a group. Took leftovers home and it was still yummy the next day mixed with knife-cut noodles I had at home.

When we asked questions about the menu, she answered with visible irritation. While we were briefly discussing options with our children, she slammed her notepad onto our table with a loud "bang" and walked away, startling both us and our kids. Negligent Service: She continued to be rude throughout the meal, literally tossing side dishes onto the table. Furthermore, the exhaust hood at our table wasn't working properly, causing the smoke from the pork belly to fill the air and make it hard to breathe. She didn't check on us until much later. Ruined Meal Flow: While we were still eating our pork belly, she came over and--without asking--scraped all the meat onto a side plate to clear the grill for the spicy squid. We had to eat cold, greasy pork belly instead of enjoying it warm off the grill. She never even asked if we wanted fried rice afterward and ignored our table for the rest of the night. We always try to treat service staff with respect and gratitude, but this experience was unacceptable. Despite our polite demeanor, we were treated with zero professional courtesy. If the manager or owner is reading this, please look into the staff working that shift. This waitress needs serious retraining in basic customer service.
