Beef knee ox soup and perfectly grilled mackerel
    Lisa X.

Quick service and authentic food not overly salty foods. I appreciate that they let the customer add their own preferred salt. They have salt and pepper on each table. The grilled mackerel is the best I've ever had. It was perfectly grilled and not fishy at all. The bibimbap was generous and had nice veggies. I love that they serve iced barley tea instead of water. Plenty of indoor seating. This is my new favorite restaurant in fort Lee!

This is probably one of my favorite No-Frills Korean restaurants in the area. The portions are big and the price is very fair. When it comes to banchan, it's just three different forms of quiche, but it does the job. We ordered the two different types of bulgogi, bibimbap, and gamjatang. It was more than enough for a group of six. This place is also BYOB so feel free to bring a bottle or two to enjoy with your food.

I guess this is good because it is always crowded but my beef bone soup was very bland. The brisket was good with the dipping sauce. My Korean friend said this is authentic Korean food. I think BCD Tofu House and Meyongdong Noodle are more suited for American tastes. However, their boricha (barley tea) has me so obsessed that I have been searching Amazon and Hmart for the same exact tea. The tea here is everything.

I've been here so many times I've lost count. I love this place - especially their suyook and their gamjatang. However, in the past 2 years, even when I arrive at 530pm vs 8pm, they are almost always out of gamjatang. It's super confusing; at first I thought the issue was me arriving late but clearly that isn't the case since I've tried arriving early - the most recent time I brought my friend from out of town, the waiter told us they were on their last bowl so we had to order other items. Later when we were halfway through our meal, they served several new tables that just sat down big bowls of gamjatang. So while I stand by their food taste, I can't help but feel disappointed when I drive 50 minutes in to be told there is no more gamjatang, and then see it served to others. This has happened multiple times. Not sure if they have a system of reserving to specific groups or they favor Korean groups over others, but I hope it improves in the near future. Also note that they don't sell suyook until after 4pm! We learned the hard way again, lol.

Came here for dinner around 8:30pm on Saturday. The restaurant was packed but we got seated fairly quickly. The server and host were very kind and welcoming. They have a sign at the door saying to not park on the side because you will get towed, so beware of that. I was honestly was unsure what to rate this restaurant. The bonchon included 3 little dishes of kimchi and radish. We ordered the Bibimbap and the dduk bae bi bulgogi. I would rate the bibimbap a 3/5 - there was little meat and it lacked flavor. I was disappointed as this is my usual go to dish. The dish was full of vegetables. The dduk bae bi bulgogi was my favorite- it was fully of flavor - I couldn't get an enough of it. If I were to come back, I would get that again. I would be open to trying the soups as that is what people seem to love.

Don't pass up this bare bones, no frills spot if you like Traditional Korean food. The place is always busy, so expect to wait; but only for a little while. Sometimes, they'll seat two or three groups at one large table. Having not been in a long while, we decided to stop in for an early dinner on a cold Saturday night. The place hasn't changed much, and YES..,it was busy as ever. Staff is the same and they have one mission: To get you seated, fed and on your way. We ordered Gam Ju Tang {Spicy Pork Rib Soup w/Potato} and Dduk Gae Bi Bul Go Gi {Sliced Beef Tenderloin in Hot Steamed Pot} Both came with a side of rice and both were excellent. Very filling. The vast menu will have you keep coming back, without running out of choices.

Incredible Korean food! We came on a weekday so it wasn't too busy. The banchan were plentiful. The tofu soup we order was super flavorful. We were craving a bibimbap and the one they serve is served on a platter not in a bowl. It was delicious and beautiful. The service was efficient. There is no parking for this restaurant and many signs to not park in the parking lot. We were able to find some street parking nearby.

Love this korean restaurant in Fort Lee. They do every dish well and have very generous portions. We got the dakdoritang and gamjatang (both $16.99) and both were full of flavor with tender meat that falls off the bone. It's extremely comforting and the best way to beat the cold. There may be a bit of a wait especially on weekends, but the staff move quickly and it's very spacious. Overall, definitely worth coming to when you're in Fort Lee!

Sa Rit Gol is a no frills, just good food restaurant. Everything is homey and cozy and nourishing. We were a group of 3 and ordered the ox tail bone broth, steamed pork feet, blood sausage, grilled mackerel, and sundubu. Every dish was simple in the best way. They provided various salts, shrimp paste, sauces, etc. to accompany their respective dishes. We arrived on the later side of a busy lunch hour (2pm) and there was still a constant flow of parties coming in while we were dining.

Such a yummy Korean spot and a hidden gem in Fort Lee! Both the sul lung tang and gamjatang were hearty and perfect for a cold day. I got the mixed sul lung tang and grilled mackerel combo--so so good! The fish was perfectly grilled with tender meat and no fishy taste, and the soo yuk ordered to share was melt-in-your-mouth soft. FYI, if you already know you want the gamjatang, order this immediately once you sit town because they can run out (yes it is that GOOD!)!! The place is small, so expect a short wait. Street parking only; the owners advise to not park in the lot next door, as they do tow!

Gouk bal, the meat was rich ,savory , slightly sweet, very tender and the skin gelatinous and flavorful. Generous portion , 3 people share one dish. It served sliced on a platter, garnished with green onions. Served with 2 dipping sauce and Kimchi to cut through the richness. I love the barley tea. Service is fast. I'll be back soon!

So homey and the flavors taste authentic and flavorful! Prices are amazing for the portions you get. Very different vibe from the upscale Korean in NYC that you won't find in the city. If you are coming from the city, the price to food ratio is so much better so be careful about over ordering haha. We left feeling very full but very satisfied!

The soft tofu stew at Sa Rit Go is awesome. It's hot, flavorful, and the tofu is super soft, just melts in your mouth. The spice hits in the right way, and with all the banchan on the side, it's a really satisfying meal. Note that parking is hard to find and there's a wait on weekends.

    Is there parking?

Yes, around the corner there is a small lot but it gets crowded.

Are they open for outdoor seating and indoor dining? Do they have convenient parking available?

They have some parking on the side/back of the building but it's a big shared parking lot with other businesses in a mini mall. As far as outdoor seating and indoor dining I don't know as I haven't been there since all the Covid stuff began but… Read more

Finally got to try this place I heard so much about on a Christmas day with wife because it was…read morefrigid and we wanted a warm bowl of Korean "tang"(soup). Finding parking is quite challenging given the location on a busy commercial street, so make sure you can come earlier than meal time to have better luck. They have waiting seats OUTSIDE so yeah I suppose it's quite popular at times. 1. ATMOSPHERE (3/5) - This location is small and it's pretty straightforward place. But I still found it cozy, with decent amount of seating (I think it can handle 15-20 max) and little details like wall with wood ledges and coat hangers were a nice touch. Seating was comfortable, though we tied our down parkas around our waist as another party had hung theirs on our side of coat hangers. 2. FOOD (4/5) - We dove right in to try their famous gejang (~Korean raw crab "ceviche") and ordered two of their namesake gookbap (rice with soup) to see how they are. Here's how it went down. - Gejang (App, $20, 2/5) - I had a hunch that on a holiday perhaps I should not order this, but my craving for succulent crab flesh be damned, I went for it and unfortunately, the meat was not well-marinated as I had feared. Gejang is a dish that has to sit in the complex soy-based pickling liquid for some time... and if restaurant is too busy churning them out or if it's slow season they won't do this properly. It not only wasn't fully marinated, I think the marinade was off because the spiciness was way out of balance and was overpowering. Perhaps knowing that it didn't have enough time to marinade the kitchen put extra diced jalapenos to compensate? Because that's exactly what it tasted like - you can't fool me. I tried to salvage the dish by asking a confused-looking girl server for some sugar, but yeah, can't un-do the overpowered marinade with sprinkling of sugar. This was really unfortunate as I was looking forward to a good bite. - Ahjae Gookbap (Main, $18, 5/5) - Thankfully, their namesake gookbap was spot-on to salvage our dining. Generous slabs of succulent beef on the bone and off the bone was swimming in a hearty beef/bone broth that tasted clean and focused. Portion was good, and can I say their banchan of fish cake moochim & unfermented kimchi & ggakdugi(radish kimchi) simply ROCKS? That was some serious deliciousness and dare I say value at $18 at a day and age where hamburger costs over $10! You win at life by ordering this! 3. SERVICE (4/5) - Our server girl was attentive and food came out early on though later it was a bit hard to get her attention promptly. We found ourselves putting hands in the air, and wavin' like we don't care... for a little while. They provide gloves & metal bin for gejang which was a nice touch for people to keep their fingers clean. One thing I'd like to mention: Plastic cup they served water in was all chipped on the rim so we instead went and got water from their hot & cold water dispenser which had metal cups (as many korean restaurants do). I'd suggest them to replace all these old plastic cups with metal ones for health reasons. Overall, we were satisfied with our meal. I'd chock up the gejang mishap to it being a holiday. I hope chef was just off with the marinade that day because I am a certified gejang pro(I catch and make my own) and that balance ain't it. But I will give it another try during warmer month and we'll definitely be back to try sooyook moochim, oyster jeon & other great soup offerings.

Ordered three things: 1) marinated crabs, small size (5/5). Always a must-get here. 2) ddukbaegi bulgogi (4.5/5) - Thinly sliced prime marinated beef ribeye casserole with rice cake and glass noodle and mushroom served in a sizzling hot pot. Really flavorful and so good to have on a cold day. 3) ahjae ppyo jjim (4.5/5) - Braised prime beef meat bones in soy reduction with carrots, radish, dates, chestnut, rice cake and glass noodles. We got non-spicy. It came in a HUGE bowl. Definitely meant to be shared with a group. Took leftovers home and it was still yummy the next day mixed with knife-cut noodles I had at home.

Ended up getting the pork combo for 2 ($90) and chose to get the aged pork belly, pork jowl and marinated pork short ribs. They give you a lot of banchan (side dishes) and they were good. The quality of the pork was really good as well. There was a lot of food for two people which I really appreciated. This time around, it's a stronger 5 out of 5 because of our waiter was amazing. Ugh, I can't remember his name. He was on top of everything and making sure our food was grilled in a timely manner. He was quick to follow up with orders/requests that didn't come through when the kitchen didn't bring them out. Usually my gripe or disclaimer I give to people is that Wooga is great at everything except wrapping up things on the end. In the past, whenever I went, it would take forever (!!!!!) to get our check and pay. It was so frustrating but this time around, it was a bit faster. It's a win-win situation because we get to pay and leave and the restaurant has another table for customers. Though on the pricier side, Wooga does check off all the boxes of: -amazing meat quality -amazing & attentive service -they don't skimp on banchans (side dishes that I heard other restaurants are starting to limit) -several meat combo options -best Korean steamed egg in the North Jersey area We tried the thinly sliced oxtails, which were really good but pretty pricey for $38cash/$39.90card for 11oz of it. There are some things that are inconvenient (long waits, very small parking lot) but it's easy to overlook them once you have a meal at Wooga. Things to know before you go: -Their menu is updated on their website if you want to check that out before you go. -The earlier you go, the better your chance of being seated quickly. Weekends are definitely a longer wait, so plan ahead. -Their parking lot is small so it fills up super quickly, so you'll have to park across the street and play Frogger (maybe you might be too young to know this reference?) to cross the 4 lanes of Palisade Ave. -When you arrive, make sure to check in with the host/hostess so that you could get a pager to know when your table is ready. Your turn can come pretty fast sometimes depending on the timing.

His hot tip: this restaurant is BYOB, so hop into the liquor store (inside the Hmart complex) next door to grab some soju and beer before settling in for some grilled meats. There are some plated dishes on the menu but with grill covers in the middle of every table, it's clear this is a restaurant meant for Korean BBQ. The pork belly was incredible with decent grill-kissed char marks. The marinated beef was tasty but a little tougher than I prefer. I love all the free side dishes that came with our meat orders, especially the soybean stew and towering egg soufflé. Service is brisk and efficient..sort of. This is the sort of place where servers hover with their order pads soon after you settle down, expecting you to just know what you want. Since this is a full-service BBQ, our server came around frequently to grill, cut, or flip or meats. After all was eaten and done, it become mysteriously difficult to flag her down for our cheque. We have always enjoyed dining at Daeji Ssonday in Ridgefield, but the rude and unprofessional behavior of our waitress completely ruined our family dinner. We were seated at the table directly in front of the far back-right table (when looking from the counter). From the moment we sat down, the service was hostile: Aggressive Attitude: As soon as we sat, she demanded our order loudly. When we asked questions about the menu, she answered with visible irritation. While we were briefly discussing options with our children, she slammed her notepad onto our table with a loud "bang" and walked away, startling both us and our kids. Negligent Service: She continued to be rude throughout the meal, literally tossing side dishes onto the table. Furthermore, the exhaust hood at our table wasn't working properly, causing the smoke from the pork belly to fill the air and make it hard to breathe. She didn't check on us until much later. Ruined Meal Flow: While we were still eating our pork belly, she came over and--without asking--scraped all the meat onto a side plate to clear the grill for the spicy squid. We had to eat cold, greasy pork belly instead of enjoying it warm off the grill. She never even asked if we wanted fried rice afterward and ignored our table for the rest of the night. We always try to treat service staff with respect and gratitude, but this experience was unacceptable. Despite our polite demeanor, we were treated with zero professional courtesy. If the manager or owner is reading this, please look into the staff working that shift. This waitress needs serious retraining in basic customer service. It's a shame because we loved this restaurant, but after tonight, we have no desire to return.
