Yemeni Tea
Benedict C.

My friend and I dropped by Qahwah House around 9:30PM in search of Yemeni tea. Luckily they have a parking lot (albeit a small one) and we were fortunate enough to grab the last spot. We walked in and placed our order at the counter. The place was pretty full but there's a pretty good amount of seating. Since it was just the two of us we were fine with sitting by the counter. Once you place your order you're given one of those buzzers that alerts you once your order is ready. Our pot of tea was ready in a few minutes and since we were seated at the counter it was brought right to us. I'm no tea expert but I really liked the spices in it. My friend said it was just as good as the tea he had at his friend's mosque so I suppose that speaks to the quality. Service was friendly and prompt. The place is nice and clean. You can't ask for much more from a cafe. We didn't try any of the food, but it all looked delicious. I'd come back some other time.

Adeni Chai (Large Pot)

If happiness came in a cup, it would be Qahwah House's Adeni Chai. I've had chai in countless places, but theirs stands out -- rich, with a balanced sweetness, aromatic without being overpowering, and so smooth it's almost dangerous how quickly you finish it. Pro tip: get it sweetened -- it really brings out the warm spices and balances the bold, high-caffeine kick. The cheesecake is delicious (they offer raspberry and pistachio) -- smooth, creamy, and well-balanced so it's indulgent without feeling too heavy. I also tried the Dubai Chocolate Dome; it was on the firmer side, so you have to bite into it rather than cut it. It's a bit tricky to share and a touch too sweet for my taste, though one of my friends really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a hint of exotic charm, and the staff were welcoming. If you're looking for a cute spot to catch up with friends over delicious chai and assorted desserts, Qahwah House is worth a visit!

Finally got to check this spot off my list!! The atmosphere was super lively and it was very busy. There's a lot of tables and seating, but they fill up fast especially at night. We got the Adeni chai & the Khaliat Alnahl, a Yemeni dessert that's basically pull apart cheese drizzled with honey. It's super subtle and absolutely delicious. The chai is very rich & aromatic.. I'm still dreaming of it. This one pot was good for about 3 people and 2-3 cups each. 10/10 highly recommend & I can't wait to go back! - we had to street park!

Khaliat Al Nahl is heavenly! Enjoyed it with the ginger forward Jubani.

I had already tried the other locations of Qahwah House, so I knew this would be good. My wife and I had lunch nearby, so I decided to stop for some coffee and dessert. The cafe feels new. Modern, well lit, comfortable seating. The gentlemen working behind the counter were professional and patient. He recommended the Jubani, as it's a popular coffee drink. I was leaning towards the double shot of espresso but figured I would take his recommendation. I was pretty sure I wanted the Khaliat Al Nahl and he agreed that it's a very popular dessert. The Jubani was served super hot and once it settled down, it was a pleasant ginger forward cup of coffee. The Khaliat Al Nahl is a show stopper. Pull apart cheese filled rolls, coated in high quality honey. An absolute delight! Great to have another amazing choice in the area!

The coffee was great in the sense that it was unique and flavorful. The ambiance was chill and the young man was accommodating and helpful with guiding me through the menu. I'll definitely be coming back.

Origins of coffee. Did u know there is a city called Mocha, Yemen?

Amazing variety of exotic teas and coffees. Learnt about origin of coffee from Yemen in 1500's. Relaxed atmosphere and loved the pistachio latte

I'm dropping my rating because this is the third time I've been to this Qahwah House location during regular business hours and it's been closed. It doesn't matter how good a place is if you can't rely on their posted schedule. One time is fine, but multiple times is an extreme inconvenience that is simply not justifiable.

Delicious drinks and pastries. Loved the small cups!

What a cute place. Looks small on the outside, but ample seating inside. The staff were amazingly nice and attentive to everyone they were attending to. We got several items: Adenai Chai and Mofawar coffee for drinks; and a vegan chocolate cake, pistachio cake, and two savory items (one with cheese, other with cheese and spinach). The drinks were quite delicious. None of the ingredients were overpowering. My husband and I debated on the desserts: I loved the vegan cake as I felt it was moist, and the chocolate was overpowering, and I felt the pistachio cake was dry. My husband felt it was the opposite and enjoyed the pistachio cake more. The star was really the cheese and spinach savory pastry - I would definitely buy several of those next time. We enjoyed seeing children were also present and enjoyed the open seating in the back. There is parking in the premises, but it is limited. Luckily there is ample street parking. Credit card accepted Highly recommend.

Cold brew

Went to grab coffee with some friends on a Saturday morning at Qahwah House. Fortunately, they have a parking lot. It's a neat cafe with tables inside and they even have a covered patio. I placed my order at the register, and they handed me a pager that would buzz when my order was ready. I got a cold brew and a pastry called a khaliat alnahi. The cold brew was very strong. It was perfect with a little water added to it. I really liked the khaliat alnahi, which was a soft bread stuffed with cheese and drizzled with honey. I also got to try some of the hot coffee. It had cardamom and other spices which i didnt like too much. Pretty good spot for cold brew though.

Cute little coffee spot with a cozy vibe and some nice photo-worthy corners. There's parking, which is a big plus, but note there's no table service- you order at the counter. Drinks were decent, but definitely on the pricey side for what you get. Be prepared to pay $9 for a drink Not sure if I'll be back.

Sunday morning breakfast and it hits everytime! The staff is always so welcoming and this place just does cappuccino right everytime! Today had their lemon bundt cake at it was moist . Sweet and tangy! Nice date spot!

yemeni latte and oatnog latte
Kimberly T.

whoa! that is one strong coffee right there. We got their Yemeni Latte and their seasonal Oatnog Latte which really gave me a kick. lol they were good but a bit too strong for me (currently im on a "limited" caffeine intake so a strong one is a no-can-do for me). Yemeni coffee was not bad but i guess it had some hint of spice to it that my palate is not the biggest fan of. But despite that, if this is your preference, it definitely good coffee. It was huge inside which I was kinda surprised about and had lots of seating. There were a good portion of sweets to try. We got the dark chocolate which had a dark chocolate coating over sponge cake and mousse. It was decadent but quite sweet. The Sabaya and Kahliat Alnhal on the menu seemed interesting so hopefully we could try that some time. Overall, it may not be the best experience YET but we loved trying new things and coffee shops. Staff was good and we appreciate that they have their own parking lot. So convenient!

Adenai chai
Yasser H.

Qahwah house was solid cafe. It was very busy and packed. They had a great selection of desserts and coffee n tea. I went with an Adenai chai, which was brewed with plenty of milk. It was super hot and crisp. I absolutely loved. It. Infact, when I finished my large cup, I ordered another one. One thing I noticed was that customers were bringing their own desserts also, and it was allowed, as long as one ordered coffee or tea from Qahwah house. The ambiance was nice. The atmosphere was chill and folks were enjoying their convos with great coffee n tea and desserts. One last thing.... Parking is very very limited. Have to park on street or neighborhood.

I love Turkish coffee and this was very good. The juice was tart and delicious. The breakfast platter was a showstopper. Two fried eggs, tomato, feta, two meat patties, and homemade bread. The flavors of the meat blew my mind. Who knew that Croatians make the most delicious burgers. This is a hearty and fantastic dish. Also, the burek was flaky and light and not very mini. I took home the cake and enjoyed it later. Light, delicate and not overly sweet, this was a star. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, you should stop in for any meal. Cafe Bubamara delivers a warm, attentive dining experience with service that feels both welcoming…read moreand well-organized. Seating is first-come, first-served, and guests are placed based on availability, which keeps things fair and efficient even during busy times. The tables for two are intimate and cozy, perfect for conversation, though they can become a bit tight when ordering several dishes at once. That said, the staff was attentive and checked in often enough to clear plates and make room, which made the experience much more comfortable. The dessert menu is separate, allowing guests to enjoy their meal at an unhurried pace before deciding on something sweet. Their beverage offerings are thoughtfully presented. Herbal tea options include green tea, chamomile, and English tea (Stash), and the tea is served in a container that provides two full servings. The cappuccino is well made and served with a sugar crystal stick, adding a distinct old-world charm that enhances the café's European feel. I regret not asking for an additional order of Turkish coffee so that's a regret . What we ordered: * Greek Salad - $18.50 * Cappuccino - $6.80 * Herbal Tea - $6.00 * Uštipci - $17.25 * Musaka - $22.95 * Šnicla (Cutlet Sandwich) - $20.75 * 2 Diet Cokes - $8.00 The musaka is a baked dish and does take about 25 minutes to prepare, as it's made fresh with baked eggs, seasoned beef, and sliced potatoes layered on top. The wait is well worth it, resulting in a hearty, comforting dish that tastes authentically homemade. The Šnicla (cutlet sandwich) arrived beautifully presented on a wooden board, adding a rustic, elevated touch that matched the restaurant's aesthetic. Mom felt it lacked in seasoning but she Didnt leave any crumbs . The Uštipci were a standout--served with feta and honey, generously portioned, and so plentiful that we happily took some home. We were too full for dessert this time, but it's absolutely on the list for a return visit. Due to winter weather, we couldn't explore the back of the restaurant, but even from the main dining area, the decor is undeniably charming and full of character. Overall, Cafe Bubamara offers authentic flavors, generous portions, attentive service, and a cozy, old-world atmosphere that makes it a place worth revisiting.

There's a counter as well as booths. You can get some candy or ice cream to go as well as get some quick bites and of course, ice cream. I wanted to start with something standard to see how they did it and got a pineapple sundae with vanilla ice cream. The whipped cream and cherry on top made it adorable, and the ice cream was creamy and very vanilla. The wet walnut sundae also paired well with it. Both were just overflowing right out of the dish. Even though it's simple, it wasn't basic. We were served quickly and with pretty and tasty desserts. I admire the local history captured in photos. There is plenty of street parking nearby. The space itself absolutely lives up to the hype. It looks just like the pictures and videos online. Beautifully decorated, trendy, and very inviting. The staff was also friendly, which made for a pleasant experience overall. Unfortunately, the food didn't taste as good as it looked. I ordered the buttermilk cast iron pancake with berries, turkey sausage, and scrambled eggs on the side. The pancake itself was disappointing. It tasted more like cornbread, and not the slightly sweet kind like Jiffy, but more savory and noticeably salty. It was also pretty dry. The mascarpone cream and berries helped balance things out a bit, but I'm not sure if too much lemon or salt was added because my pancake leaned heavily on the salty side. I also tried the "All Night Long" drink, which I actually really enjoyed. It was strong and well-made, and I'd definitely recommend it. Overall, while the ambiance and drinks were highlights, the food didn't quite meet expectations. I can't say I'd rush back, but if I did, I'd be curious to try one of their dirty sodas instead.
