We ordered the mushroom stuffed burger with tater tots, the jalapeño burger with waffle fries, corn, the pineapple refresher, the Abe's hot dog, the blue raspberry refresher and the milkshake. The cheese injectors are brilliant. The cheese pull was insane on my mushroom burger(sooo delicious). The burger meat was juicy and perfectly cooked. Actually can rate it as the best burger I've ever had. I'm not usually a waffle fries person but these had a lot of flavor so they were enjoyable. The refreshers were great. It's a lemonade type drink infused with whatever you order. The pineapple one was my favorite. For the milkshake, you choose what candy you want crushed up inside. I chose Mr. Goodbar and snickers. Perfect combo. They make it in a plastic "can". The hot dog was very good with the potato stix, and all of the other toppings but it wasn't my favorite. I felt it was missing something. Thankfully the Halal Joint has a much saner gameplan - being open and having (enough) inventory. The restaurant is small, bright, clean. The guy behind the counter was friendly. And the food has a lot of pop - the falafel was crispy, crunchy and packed with flavor and those Cajun fries (weird that they only offered seasoned French fries) were mighty delicious as well. Everything being fried isn't the best option for someone in my age-bracket but it sure was tasty. Portion sizes were legit. Pricing was decent. Parking... welp, you can't win 'em all.

I know there's a million Halal spots popping up, and I will admit I'm very, very picky when it comes to platters. I miss the good ol' days on 53rd street in NYC... I came by around 10pm and was served quickly by a friendly employee. They have platters, burgers, wraps, wings, chicken tenders, fries, etc. I ordered the chicken rice platter (~$13.50). They cook the meat fresh on the grill and then you choose your toppings at the salad bar (olives, onions, peppers, tomatoes, etc.). It's a bit pricier than other places, but the portion size is huge. The container felt HEAVY lol. It's just a shame it went to waste because I really didn't enjoy the food. I only finished about half of it before I tossed the rest. The white sauce was almost flavorless and was VERY watery. The chicken wasn't as well-seasoned. No distinct spices or aroma. Every bite left me with a very greasy and salty taste in my mouth. The side salad was just okay. I was disappointed. The only saving grace was the rice... it was fluffy and the best part of the whole platter. Not sure if I came on an off night or...?
