A local friend of mine recommend this location, after a late night craving for some food. They are generally a nice little corner spot in the decent area of Paterson, even at night and when I saw at night, you'll find me there at 3am. They have just about everything you could want, essentially they are a local super small convenience store with some amazing food. The prices are the typical costs of most sandwich places, ranging from $5-10 but they have so many options that you can't go wrong with anything. Typically I end up ordering the Waheed special with curly fries. The Waheed special is a mixed of a bunch of things that to be honest, I can't really tell you what's in it. It's similar to a cheese steak if anything. It's a must try if you are a foodie person like myself. If you are having some late night cravings and want to try something new, I highly recommend this place!! read more

A friend suggested this deli for "a proper BLT." I was happy to see an Italian sub on the menu as it's one of my favorites ... I've had nothing but bad luck for years in finding an actual Italian sub, and one that's really good. This deli nailed it! Very generous in size, ingredients, and real flavor. I was so happy to finally indulge in one of my favorite sandwiches. It was so large, in fact, it lasted me 3 days. My pup enjoyed part of it as well, and he's very picky. Nothing but great things to say about Montclair Deli. I live 2 minutes away and they are very personable when it comes to taking meal orders over the phone and having it ready for you on time. My personal favorite is the chicken over rice platter. Delicious every time and it beats Juicy Platters in my opinion since it also comes with a green sauce that adds a lot of flavor to the meal. 10/10. read more

Close up of the Philly cheese steak at 3:00am. The combo that my husband and I had came with fries and a can of soda for $8.99. We drove 11 miles to satisfy our cravings and got MORE than that. The customer service of this establishment was on point, got 2 free cups of coffee while waiting for the sandwiches to be made. It was a great experience. When I lived in South Paterson, this was my go to place all the time. I moved up to Garrett Mountain, a 1.5 mile difference, they would always deliver to my new address. Today I called in an order for delivery, gave him my address and the person who picked up the phone was very rude in saying we don't deliver to your address. I told him I have ordered delivery about 5 or 6 times already and it was never an issue before. Poor customer service and lack of structure. read more

When I'm really hungry and don't feel like driving far or waiting for delivery or a late night run , I'm not going to lie, this is usually my go to place. However the reason i gave them three stars is because they almost NEVER. Use gloves!!! Idc if you wash hands , when you are dealing with food you are supposed to wear gloves, Hair nets, even nets for your beards! . They literally touch EVERYTHING with their hands! Well for starters they got my whole order wrong and it really wasn't good because the cashier quickly decided to blame me . like i specifically told him then he charged me more money to fix my order when other places would let me go for free just to add fries as a combo. he wouldn't even let me make a new order for the thing i actually wanted . the food is good but the service is terrible the cashier has a nasty attitude and it's not so good for someone to have an electronic smoking device on the job. read more

I use to live around the corner back in the 90s and i must say this place has grown so much since then and has gained so many costumers through their amazing food and service. It is located in a nice area of Paterson and they have such a variety of foods to offer. They are clean and the owners are amazing people. Its a small spot but definitely the spot after a night of going out. I also like the fact that they now do deliveries and that they renovated. It definitely has given the store a better look. I just wished that they had chairs and tables for the summer so people can eat outside. Other than that, it is a great place to munch! read more
