Loved the atmosphere and decor at Yaffa -- such a cozy spot, especially since they're open really late. Their künefe was fresh, gooey, and delicious, and honestly it was hypnotizing watching them make it. They have this really cool machine/setup for preparing it that makes the whole experience even better. The latte was also really good, and my husband said the Turkish coffee was excellent too.

I've been wanting to try this place for months and finally got the chance to visit and i'm so glad I did! I don't drink coffee, but thought I would take the chance to try their pistachio latte with oat milk and it was actually delicious, A little sweeter than I would have liked. So next time I will ask to see if I could get it less sweet. I also tried the classic kunafa which was my first experience with this dessert- and wow! The personal was a perfect size for 1 person. Great little dessert after lunch in my opinion. The guys at the counter were nice and explained the options to me which I appreciate. The place is cute, clean and nicely decorated. Will be back!

Loved this cute cafe. Came a little early in the morning so beat the crowd and it was pleasant. The woman helping me was great and suggested the yaffa latte. Definitely a must try. The zatar and cheese pastry is such a great touch as well to the yaffa latte that I got sweetened. Definitely check it out.

Finally had a chance to try out Yaffa that opened up in the place of AK cafe. Really liked it, has nice Palestine themed decor and menu. Tried tea, zaatar pie and kunafa, all were delicious. Will come back.

Decided to try this place since it was recommended by a friend. I will start with they have a parking lot which is a huge pro in the area the place is located. Upon walking in you see a cute cafe with a lot of seating space. They have a pastry display which looked good. I will say customer service is big for me so I had to take one star off for that. The one thing I didn't like is that I walked up the counter and no one even greeted me. One person came by the register and I started speaking thinking they were going to take my order and the person proceeded to turn around and tell someone else to do it. I didn't mind that but a hello would have been nice. I ordered an iced yaffa latte with oatmilk and when I say I found my new fave drink I'm not kidding. It is absolutely delicious. The perfect blend of espresso and sweetness. Can't wait to go back for another. I might even try a dessert.

As I imagine many others in the States may feel these days, it's hard to know exactly what to do in the face of the current genocide across Palestine. With an administration unresponsive to admonishment and 70 years of Jewish intellectual thought disturbingly quickly thrown to the wayside (which I say as a member of the tribe), what can one do for the legacy of Yaffa and Al-Quds? Lacking better options, I find myself frequently visiting the Palestinian cafés of Paterson, where the air remains palpably heavy. Yaffa is the best of the lot - I used to say that the best kunefe I ever had was in the back lanes of the Mısır çarşısı, but this may be the new winner. As I understand it, Nablus style kunefe lacks the density of kadayıf that generates the Turkish style's crispiness, resulting in a buttery soft texture that melts in your mouth. The Palestinian black tea is exceptional and heavy on the mint. It goes very well to balance the sweetness of the kunefe.

Back again, to have more excellent kunafa. My husband got the classic nablusi soft kunafa. 10/10. I had the Oreo mousse. Excellent. Service was fast. The interior design is inspiring. Murals and explanations of the culture and country to which it honors.

Went to Yaffa Café -- oh my God, I cannot get enough of what they serve! The moment you walk in, you're welcomed by the amazing aroma of fresh pastries and coffee. I got the Spanish latte -- highly recommended. I enjoyed every single sip. My cousin had the Blue Mint energy drink and absolutely loved it. We also tried their famous kunafa -- unbelievable! The cheese stretched with every bite, just like back home. You can actually watch them make it fresh right there. Met one of the owners, was clearly busy (and probably stressed), but still greeted us with a warm smile and even took the time to recommend a few drinks for my family. If you haven't been to Yaffa Café yet, make sure to stop by. You will not regret it!

Excellent Nablusi style kunafa, which features a thin, semolina-based dough rather than shredded phyllo threads. Lovely interior which celebrates the rich Palestinian culture. We got the sour berry drink (which had sour boba pearls) and the mango peach which was phenomenal. Although the price for the personal kunafa is steep at almost $10, I would still come back because it really is very well done.

Loved seeing the addition of an authentic Palestinian café! Everything--from the ambiance, murals on the wall, lanterns, olive trees, to the green earthy tones and textures--was beautifully aesthetic. The service was warm and welcoming, and considering how packed the place was, impressively quick. We ordered the vegetarian pizza pastry, the white cheese and black seed pastry, the kunafa na'ma, a hot cappuccino, and an iced Spanish latte. I have only good things to say about everything we tried. Their espresso beans are clearly high quality. You must try the kunafa if you go!

such a cute place! Love the decor and the Palestinian representation. As for the coffee, it was good. I got the iced pistachio latte with oat milk and it was fairly good. The service was good aswell. Overall would go again

Loved loved this place! The atmosphere, the details in the design, the furniture which is by far the best furniture I've ever seen at any restaurant let alone a cafe. High quality heavy wood chairs and beautiful couches for some extra comfort. The map of Palestine was absolutely beautiful and the painting on the wall was still being painted while we were there actually and the artistic expression was incredible! Now on to the food and let me just say it was the best kunafa I have had! I loved how they serve the portions in individual wooden dishes that also help keep it warm longer. And the cheese pull says it all! Absolutely deliciousness! The coffee was on point too, my son enjoyed his pizza pastry also. Loved this place and will be coming back in when I'm in town.

Since Yemeni coffee and tea options aren't common for everyone, they take the time to explain the menu and answer questions, which I really appreciated. However, the Adeni Chai was the only saving grace of the visit. It was flavorful and well made, but the coffee was a massive disappointment. I tried the Jubani after the staff described it as a delicious light-roasted coffee packed with caffeine, but in reality, it tasted like bland cardamom water with absolutely no coffee flavor or body. It felt like I was just drinking hot spiced water. The atmosphere was also a major issue as there was no seating available whatsoever. The crowd was mostly of Middle Eastern descent and many were incredibly rude; people will bump right into you and not say a word. Even worse was the way some customers spoke to the workers, it was absolutely deplorable. Honestly, who raised you? It was uncomfortable to witness. The dessert selection was even worse. Most of what we ordered felt stale and old. The only thing worth eating was the bubble dessert with cheese because they actually toast it. We tried both the pistachio milk cake and the pistachio dream cake, and neither was impressive. The khattafi in the pistachio dream was the biggest letdown; it was so stale and bland I can't believe they actually put it out to sell when it was clearly weeks if not months old. The basboosa was also a disappointment, as it was a very small square of semolina cake for almost $5. Overall, It is not a good place for coffee or desserts, so if you do go, stick strictly to the Adeni chai.

The place was packed with a lot of people enjoying their evenings with their families and friends, so that was nice to see. After waiting in line for less than 5 minutes the staff took our order. It came in two cups without dairy but I feel like adding cream would have made it more viscous. We didn't find a table to sit at as it was busy but found a bench to share space. Everyone was super chill and we even were given extra almond oat milk to add. I didn't finish the whole cup but it was a memorable experience.

He had tried it at a friend's mosque and he says he's been chasing that high ever since. We figured we'd try to get some at Mokafe. It wasn't too difficult to find street parking, but the cafe was surprisingly busy for a late Sunday night. We placed our order for Adeni Shai, Dubai Knafa Brownie, and a Lotus Biscoff croissant. Everything was delicious. I have never had Yemeni tea before so I didn't have a bar to measure it against. I really enjoyed the tea though my friend said it wasn't exactly what he was looking for. I feel like it could've done with more spices but it still tasted very good. The Dubai Knafa Brownie was excellent. The brownie by itself was nice and moist with the perfect texture for a brownie. The Knafa set it over the top with the crunch and pistachio flavor. I'd definitely get this again. The Lotus Biscoff Croissant was good, but I liked the brownie more. It was about an average croissant but the Biscoff spread added some nice flavor to it. I think it could've used more though. It was buttery and flaky; pillars a of what a croissant should be. However, I'd try another pastry before ordering this again. The place is clean, they play great music, and the service is prompt and friendly. Mokafe is a wonderful Coffee House and I'd love to come back.

Seating is first-come, first-served, and guests are placed based on availability, which keeps things fair and efficient even during busy times. The tables for two are intimate and cozy, perfect for conversation, though they can become a bit tight when ordering several dishes at once. That said, the staff was attentive and checked in often enough to clear plates and make room, which made the experience much more comfortable. The dessert menu is separate, allowing guests to enjoy their meal at an unhurried pace before deciding on something sweet. Their beverage offerings are thoughtfully presented. Herbal tea options include green tea, chamomile, and English tea (Stash), and the tea is served in a container that provides two full servings. The cappuccino is well made and served with a sugar crystal stick, adding a distinct old-world charm that enhances the café's European feel. I regret not asking for an additional order of Turkish coffee so that's a regret . What we ordered: * Greek Salad - $18.50 * Cappuccino - $6.80 * Herbal Tea - $6.00 * Uštipci - $17.25 * Musaka - $22.95 * Šnicla (Cutlet Sandwich) - $20.75 * 2 Diet Cokes - $8.00 The musaka is a baked dish and does take about 25 minutes to prepare, as it's made fresh with baked eggs, seasoned beef, and sliced potatoes layered on top. The wait is well worth it, resulting in a hearty, comforting dish that tastes authentically homemade. The Šnicla (cutlet sandwich) arrived beautifully presented on a wooden board, adding a rustic, elevated touch that matched the restaurant's aesthetic. Mom felt it lacked in seasoning but she Didnt leave any crumbs . The Uštipci were a standout--served with feta and honey, generously portioned, and so plentiful that we happily took some home. We were too full for dessert this time, but it's absolutely on the list for a return visit. Due to winter weather, we couldn't explore the back of the restaurant, but even from the main dining area, the decor is undeniably charming and full of character. Overall, Cafe Bubamara offers authentic flavors, generous portions, attentive service, and a cozy, old-world atmosphere that makes it a place worth revisiting.
