Met my brother there for lunch First you notice how clean and fresh smelling everything is We ate there and not sure what we got but all was delicious They heat it up and you can sit and eat The staff was very nice and friendly and knowledgeable A good spot

Absolutely beautiful inside, you don't realize how big it is until you walk in and make a right turn. The high ceilings and decor on the walls is stunning. They have all sorts of breads, cookies, pastries and drinks. Some of their full cakes are so beautifully crafted. One of the cleanest establishments I have been to. It was being cleaned nonstop, there isn't a speck of dust in there. Got the meat pide, lahmacun, kare baklava and tulumba, Turkish tea and Turkish coffee. Everything was perfect. Dropping a star because there isn't a system to order food. It becomes confusing because you can't tell if people are browsing the glass case or ordering, which isn't even the issue. The issue is that it's hard to get attention for someone to take your order and when we did all 3 times, the person either disappeared, someone else rung us out and thereby didn't know what we ordered or our food came to our table while we were still standing in line to pay.

Ever look so forward to visiting a place only to leave deflated. Well That ! Was so looking forward to going to this bakery . My Lebanese friend use to bring us at the hospital baked goods from here all the time . I went to lunch at Toros and saw it across the street . I ran over ! The place is immaculate clean . Looks so nice and orderly . The Turkish bagels and baklava delicious that gets 5/5 . But the customer service , AWFUL . The guy who attended us was not nice . Not very pleasant experience at all . For that 1/5 .

Taskin is a massive bakery, and with it being open 24 hours, there is something for everyone. There is ample seating, selection and lots of Middle Eastern delights. Additionally, there are other favorites such as tres leches available. Most of the items are sold by the pound, but some are sold by the piece. The service was quick and I enjoyed trying Turkish cookies. It's a great place to check out after enjoying a meal across the street at Toros.

Another great find. Right across from the new corral. I already want to go back to try more. Borek was phenomenal! The Phyllo and Meat was also amazing. Definitely try this place!!

If you're on the lookout for a hidden gem that serves up the best in Turkish and European pastries, look no further than Taskin Bakery & Cafe in Paterson, New Jersey. Nestled in a vibrant Middle Eastern neighborhood, this bakery is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates authentic ethnic cuisine. Established in 1997, Taskin has become a beloved staple for locals and visitors alike. Open 24 Hours a Day! Whether you're in the mood for a midnight snack or an early morning treat, Taskin has you covered. Their extensive menu features a delightful array of breads, Turkish pastries, sweets, and a selection of coffee and tea that will make your taste buds sing. One of the highlights of my visit was the baklava - a heavenly combination of walnuts and pistachios that left me craving more. I also couldn't resist picking up an assortment of Turkish cookies. Unlike their American counterparts, these cookies offer a nuanced nutty or chocolate flavor, making them a perfect complement to a cup of coffee. Taskin's bread is baked in traditional brick ovens and is made without preservatives, so it's best enjoyed on the same day. Be sure to try their Simit (a sesame-encrusted circular bread), Pagaca (a savory breakfast pastry), and Tuzlu Kurablye (a savory salty biscuit). The ambiance is just as inviting as the food--after renovation in 2018, you can now relax at cozy tables or on a comfy sofa by the fireplace while savoring your treats. The decor features charming Anatolian elements, including traditional Ottoman coffee brewers and grain sifters that transport you to another time and place. The service is exceptional, with friendly staff ready to assist you in selecting your favorites, even if English isn't their first language. Their warm hospitality makes your visit all the more special. Just excellent. Fresh bread. Fresh Turkish pizza . Excellent tea collection . Welcoming staff. Nice place to sit in. Maybe a couch or two but the place is complete. 24x7 just like a bakery should be. But it can easily spill over to be a cafe. Lots of promise here.

Overrated bakery. Everything looks great, but there's no flavor. I get disappointed everytime I visit.

My uncle brought me in today because he swears by this place and gets excited to go before work each day. As soon as you walk in the smell and the aroma immediately smacks you in the face. The staff are friendly and the bakery is intimate in its design. When you enter, you're greeted by cakes and cookies and a variety of selections. Def worth stopping by!

I went here last year around Thanksgiving as I have been a big fan of this bakery for many years. I actually drive almost 30 minutes for treats to bring my family for the holidays. It was busy when I went in and a I waited in line for my turn. Once the man in front of me ordered, and the young blonde girl behind the counter called next, I went to place my order and the man in front of me mistakenly thought he could have her do the rest of his order. I still tried to get her attention, but she refused to even look at me. Here I will note that I look very different from the other patrons in the bakery at the time... take that for what it's worth. The other workers saw this happening, and didnt acknowledge how I was being ignored by this girl. The middle aged woman who works there, who I have bought from for years, then went to help the person after me... what kind of service is that? The crazy thing is the man in front of me even apologized for what he did because he was confused by what was going on, and the middle aged women STILL DID NOT HELP ME. I always thought she was a manager or owner... perhaps she doesn't like people with my skin color. Who knows. Finally, after an upsetting amount of time where I was feeling humiliated, a brown haired girl (with absolutely great eye makeup said she would help me). Good to know one decent person works there. I used to go there regularly when I worked in the area and stopped going as often, but I will never go again and have stopped recommending it to others. For the area, there are plenty of bakeries without people like this blonde girl, who would love to have a diverse group clientele who doesn't look just like them :) Avoid this place if you don't want to be treated like a second class citizen. The way I was treated was disgusting and shameful.
