Can't express how delicious this place is. I think they cook up some of the best Portuguese sandwiches and steak sandwiches in the area. If I could move to Portugal just to eat their food for the rest of my life I would, but I can't so this place comes to a close 2nd on that list. The ambiance is just a small little neighborhood cafe. There's nothing special about the look of the place. The cafe only had a few seats, but there are always seats available. Not because the food isn't delicious, but they have a lot of stop ins and pick ups. The service is amazing, the owner is extremely nice and not pushy when providing recommendations. She's not just trying to earn a dollar. I love coming here and will continue to come here always for their food and great service.

I met a work colleague here the other day as we were looking for someplace to set up for the afternoon prior to an evening event. I ordered espresso and it was excellent. I then ordered a chicken sandwich with grilled peppers and onions, it was very very good. The Cafe is constantly busy and there are teenagers everywhere because I'm guessing there is a high school near by. The bathroom was impeccably clean!

I love this place, I stoked by once before and decided to go back again. They have a delicious walnut cake that is to die for, blends well with the coffee and the pieces are ginormous! Please, don't downsize the portions just because I'm mentioning it here, this is the reason why I'm going back again this week for more portions! They're pastries are amazing! The coffee is great and the ladies are so nice. If you're craving coffee with desserts, this is the place go!!

This is your typical small Portuguese bakery but with a twist. They have some fun options for their custard cups including red velvet, chocolate and Nutella. The regular custard cups are delicious are their own too, probably one of the best in town. They lost a star only because they do run out of them fairly quickly and they don't make more during the day. Parking is limited to the street but it's easy enough to find something. Coffee is great, they also offer açaí bowls and breakfast sandwiches. The women behind the counter are nice too, very accommodating. It's definitely a small spot and can fill up quickly on weekend mornings, I'd get some goodies to go and enjoy at home. Don't forget to grab a multigrain croissant, they're delicious!

I've been trying to go to local coffee shop and I came across to this place. The place is not too big and not too small. When I first came in, there was a bunch of I believe high school kids and the employee was quite friendly. I was so excited because of the many good reviews that people wrote on here. I ordered their cappuccino, iced latte, pastel de nata, pastel de nata nutella, ham egg and cheese sandwich and the brownie cupcake! Their cappuccino was good, even without sugar. When I took a sip, the sweetness from the whipped cream and dash or cinnamon was a perfect mixture with the coffee. The pastel de nata (original and with Nutella) was super good! Also the brownie cupcake is so good, it's chewy and crispy on top. The ham egg and cheese was good also, the bread is not dry (atleast the one I got) overall, it's good! I highly recommend for people to stop by and give it a try! I definitely will be back.

Bread of Life really has a good cup of Joe, try it out. Tonsss of pastry options too! I've been twice and I've grabbed the same thing twice mainly because I was in a hurry but but both things are delicious. A "cloud bread" which is a super light pastry and it's perfectly lightly sweet and delicious. My second favorite is the famous pao de queijo, fresh, chewy and tasty. The ladies behind the counter are super friendly, it's a nice big spot to eat in if you'd like and there's a small lot in front of the strip mall but also tons of street parking. I'll be back to try a juice and some different pastries!

As a young kid from Louisiana, one of the first things I missed was the culture, flavor, and sweet treats that reminded me of home in New Orleans. Back then, my teammates used to tease me relentlessly about being the "fat rookie from Louisiana" because I was always chasing pralines, cookies, pastries, and every sugary delight imaginable. Not long after arriving, I stumbled upon a hidden gem that instantly made me feel at home -- Lyndhurst Pastry Shop. This led me to "SACKING" tons of NFC QB's over the years. From day one, Paulette, Jerry, her father, and the entire staff have treated me like family. Decades later, they are still absolutely knocking it out of the park. Whether it's their incredible Italian ice, authentic cannoli, specialty cookies, or my personal weakness -- their unbelievable apple rings -- this place never disappoints. Truth be told, I can't stop there without bringing one home for my wife. Some places serve food. Others serve memories, tradition, and comfort. Lyndhurst Pastry Shop has done that for me for over 40 years. A true North Jersey institution. Five stars isn't enough -- if I could give them 10 stars, I absolutely would. Leonard A.
