Strawberry, Banana and Chia Seeds Waffles with yuca flour - A black plate holds waffles topped with sliced strawberries, bananas, and sprinkled chia seeds, served on a white table.

Wow! Amazing cafe found by my wife in NJ not too far from the meadowlands. It's a cozy, small place with just 2 tables but very comfortable. The customer service is out of this world, we were greeted with smiles and made to feel like family, the owner even came by to check on us and tell us a bit about her business. Everything was explained and we were even given samples of the cheese bread. Here they have coffee, tea, smoothies that can be made with almond milk or water for specific dietary needs. The food here is gluten free, it's nice to have that as an option and add to the fact that everything we tried was delicious! The cheese bread has mozzarella in it, they also have yuca waffles, I also tried the green plantain stuffed with cheese, all of the food here was great and the customer service is awesome, I just wished I lived closer to here. Highly recommended.

Authentic Ecuadorian place with the nicest staff and the most delicious food. The smoothies are delicious and so many flavor options. I loved the pan de yuca, the guava filled was my favorite.

4.5 stars My friend…read moreand I were going to a concert in Rutherford and wanted to grab dinner beforehand. There were so many excellent options on Park Avenue that it was hard to select one, but we wound up settling on Suprema. The restaurant was an easy 5-minute walk from the train station and was, thankfully, very warm and cozy inside on that chilly evening. The service that we experienced throughout the night was also very friendly and gracious. After we were seated, we were told that the restaurant was BYO and that there was a liquor store across the street. I decided to quickly run over and grab a bottle of wine, since we had some time to enjoy our meal before the show started. In addition to the bottle of red, we began our dinner with a complementary bread basket and an appetizer to share. Sadly, the slices of bread were rather dry and hard, so I only indulged in a few bites. However, our Rice Ball starter was unbelievable! We received three massive, fried spheres of creamy risotto and gooey mozzarella that were sitting in a sweet, herbaceous basil pomodoro sauce. They were honestly the best arancini I thought I had ever had! For my main course, I ordered the Chicken Porcini, which included two large Bell & Evans boneless chicken breasts, served over a light, creamy golden potato puree. The poultry was topped with fresh, roasted cremini and porcini mushrooms, as well as a sweet wine and porcini glaze. It felt like an upscale, modern version of a chicken marsala. I adored every aspect of the dish, from the tender chicken to the aromatic mushrooms to the homestyle mashed potatoes (an item I do not even typically like). Suprema provided a stellar meal in a relaxed atmosphere that was the perfect pre-concert vibe we were looking for. Plus, the food was amazing, so we definitely made a wise choice in picking the place.

For my entree, the Stuffed Salmon over potatoes. This was excellent. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the wine sauce was a perfect accompaniment. My other diners did not like their meals as much as I did. My husband found the Pork Chop a bit oily. But overall, it was still a nice meal. Dessert was just okay. It was Cannoli and Strawberry Cake. It was surprisingly bland. It is BYOB which is a plus. Prices are very reasonable. I would return.

Nothing quite compares to biting into a freshly made pie made with high-quality, imported ingredients--especially when enjoyed in the right atmosphere. The owner of Song E Napule, Ciro Iovine, clearly takes immense pride in his heritage, and it shows in every detail. From the vibrant decor honoring Diego Armando Maradona--a true legend and god-like figure to the people of Naples, still revered throughout the city--to the selection of ingredients imported straight from Italy, the commitment to authenticity is unmistakable. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the service. The staff doesn't just serve you--they welcome you like extended family. They greet you with genuine warmth, polished professionalism, and that unmistakable Italian hospitality that makes you feel at home. We laugh, we chat, sometimes hug, and we leave with full stomachs and even fuller hearts. Our sincerest thanks go to the owner for bringing such a genuine slice of Napoli to the New York area. The Rutherford, NJ location remains our favorite, thanks especially to the outstanding team: talented pizzaiolo Giampiero, whose skill and passion shine through every pizza; manager/host Omar, who we love like a younger brother. This last visit, servers Kevin and Aslihan were both exceptional. Spending time in the company of the staff at Song E Napule is always a joy. We truly feel blessed every time we walk out the door.

All different, all very good. My wife went for the chicken special (kind of like a cassolette), my SIL ordered the salmon, which she always does and I ordered the Cavatelli Ragù Di Salsiccia, which was very good... served maybe a bit too al dente... but very good none the less. We all shared a nice bottle of Nebbiolo. (So NOT a BYOB)

Very warm, welcoming and chic. The service was great, our waitress was very helpful with recommendations. For my drink I got the Sage Whisper. It was delicious. I would definitely recommend if you enjoy gin. We ordered the Feta cheese turnover. It was good but could definitely be better. The block of feta was so massive that it overpowered the dish. If they use like half the amount of feta and added more honey it would've been perfect. I was also expecting apricot to be incorporated into it, but it was just on the side. If they had a layer of apricot jam inside that would literally take it to the next level. For dinner I ordered the Bistecca. My steak was could perfectly but the flavor was a little lacking. Luckily I love steak so i still enjoyed it but I think if it was sliced and topped with the chimichurri and some flaky salt it would've been a lot more flavorful. The steak was also a very generous portion. I did have my eye on the Orecchiette Rabe e Sausage. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd definitely come back to try it.

Located in Wallington, The Ridge House was previously operating under a different name before being…read morereintroduced in 2025 under new management. Let me set the stage. You walk into a spacious bar that opens into a beautifully designed dining room with a mix of square tables and round setups for larger groups. There's exposed brick and a striking photo of New York on the wall. It gives off a very NYC-style dining vibe, which feels unexpectedly elevated for the area. The menu leans New American with more sophisticated takes on comfort food. There are also plenty of vegetarian-friendly options, including crispy cauliflower, a veggie burger, and a meatless bolognese. Prices are very reasonable, which is a huge plus. We made a dinner reservation on a Saturday and were seated right away. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. I asked her to choose between the lemon butter chicken and the fish and chips, and she (correctly) steered me toward the fish and chips. She warned me it was a large portion, which I brushed off, but she was not kidding. The plate was massive! I needed two to-go containers, and I'm not usually one to leave food behind. The battered cod was excellent. Instead of one large slab, it came in crispy pieces that were perfectly fried. Not too heavy, not oily. The fries were just as memorable, easily the best salt and vinegar fries I've had. The dish came with house-made remoulade (similar to tartar sauce) and ketchup. The remoulade was creamy and flavorful, though slightly more citrus-forward than expected. My friend ordered the classic cheeseburger, which was perfectly cooked medium and served with fries. Simple, well-executed, and satisfying. The only downside was the wait time...Despite arriving early before the dinner rush, we waited over 40 minutes for our entrées. When I mentioned it, our server checked in, and the manager, Peter, stepped in. He was extremely receptive and took it upon himself to make things right. He personally followed up on our order and went above and beyond to improve the rest of the experience. He brought out a few additional items for us to try, including a smaller portion of the chicken kale salad (we had it without chicken). The Dijon peanut dressing was outstanding, with a great sweet and savory balance from the apples and parmesan. For dessert, we had their Nutella croissant bread pudding (as incredible as it sounds and genuinely unique) and a warm skillet cookie. Both were excellent and a perfect way to end the meal. All in all, this is not a one-and-done kind of place. It's the type of restaurant you come back to and even make the trip from NYC for. The food is strong across the board, but what really sets it apart is the management. They care about the experience and make sure you leave happy. I'll definitely be back.
