This is the place to go if you want to indulge your sweet tooth! Order at the counter and the staff will bring you your order. The service is very good, accommodating and friendly. The coffee is good and the cakes, cookies and desserts are fantastic. They also have baked savory goods and serve a traditional breakfast with lots of small plates- I haven't had the breakfast but it's on my list as it looks so good. You're never rushed and it's a good place to catch up with friends- a proper cafe with no laptops on sight, just people having a good time with friends and family. Highly recommend and it's a good place to order a celebration cake from that's a little different. Prices are reasonable. read more

Went for breakfast with a large party and was not at all disappointed. Good good. Not fancy but they had a good menu and everyone loved it.

In my opinion, the freshest cakes are definitely at this place. I often bake cakes at home for my family, but I just can't pass by their Napoleon cake--it completely won me over. After having lunch out with my family, I went there just for myself . Everyone has different tastes, but I really love it and can go anytime. The place is nice, clean, and the staff are friendly. The most important thing for me is parking--finding a spot in a place like Paterson is really hard. If you park somewhere and come back later, you might get a ticket. But Sultan Bakery has its own parking, so you can sit, relax, and enjoy your tea read more

By FAR, the best desserts I've ever had. ...and I've had a lot of desserts from all over the lace! Incredibly delicious, perfect textures, not too sweet, and the staff were really nice. Ordered their famous pistachio vanilla fruit cake, variety of cookies and baklavas, boureks, flower bread, some rolls, and got their house made Dubai chocolate bar. Ridiculously amazing, all of it. For the Dubai pistachio chocolate bar and cookies-- yes, they have the kanefeh pistachio in cookies!!!-- it was so balanced and crunchy and satisfying. I still dream of it. Parking is a nightmare, no two ways about it. The lot is also small, which can add to the frustration, but everything about this bakery is totally worth the visit! read more

Love this supermarket. I'm on a date kick so I came here to find some dates. Wish they had fresh dates by the pound but only saw them in boxes. Their bakery section looked so tempting, especially all the various baklava. They also had a whole section of different tahinis. Butcher area was busy. Love they did have nuts and dried fruit by the pound. read more

I've been heading to Paterson every other weekend for a few months. I keep trying new places, just to see the excellent variety offered in the area. Sultan Bakery looked good on Yelp, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I selected a nice loaf of bread, a roll stuffed with olives, a savory pastry with ground beef filling, kadayif, baklava, cherry cookies, dark chocolate cookies, and a cup of tea. I asked about another item and the owner gave me a sample of their fig and walnut dessert, it was incredible. A simple ball shaped dessert but it was packed with flavor. I ate the olive roll and savory ground beef pastry as soon as I got back to my car. The olive filled roll was buttery and tender, the olives were high quality. The savory pastry with ground beef filling was a show stopper! Great flaky texture with a deliciously seasoned beef mixture! I also enjoyed the tea, a really flavorful cup. I saved the rest of the haul for later in the day. The loaf of bread was pillowy but still had bite, the kadayif was sweet and featured a nice layer of ground pistachios, the cherry and dark chocolate cookies were fantastic, and the baklava was superb. Another great find in Paterson! read more

The service is amzazzing!!! The staff is soo attentive!! Great spot!!! Ambiance is awesome!!!

It's easy to miss the Sultan Artisan Bakery. It resides in a bi-level strip mall behind a small, packed parking lot. Maybe that's why I didn't discover it sooner. Inside the store is long counter filled with trays of middle eastern cookies, candies and assorted baked goods. They all look enticing and it's hard to avoid buying more than you intend to. The establishment is not as small as it appears from the outside, and there are plenty of tables if you decide to relax with a hot cup of tea or Turkish coffee while you sample the food. While I've only purchased their sweets, they also serve sandwiches and other hot foods. I've tried many of their items, and I've never been disappointed, but the one thing I always return to is their green pistachio cookies. The date cookies are pretty great too. The only warning I would give is to be careful in their parking lot. It's on the tight side and it's hard to maneuver. Parking on the street may be a better choice. read more

great service great food and very affordable! quality is amazing and variety is unlimited!! 10/10 recommend!

If you have been on the Main Street Paterson you know how parking is a night mare I was looking for parking and I end up in this shopping complex. Any way we parked and saw the first shop to try some sweets and next we are inside this shop. The shop is clean has a good area inside you can sit and eat. We got 2 pistachio baklava and one regular. Quick service they served to our table they also had lots cakes and cookies which we did not try, but over all looked fresh and yum. read more

I came in alone so I ordered small, though I am looking forward to returning with friends so I can order a proper giant Turkish breakfast. I had Kut Borek, a flaky bread served with powdered sugar, and coffee served with steamed milk. it was delicious, though towards the end I thought to ask for more powdered sugar. Their selection of cakes and pastries was elevated and beautiful. read more

From the time we walked in everyone was so nice. This is a Turkish place and I don't speak the language, but my friend does. She ordered a big breakfast platter which was great! Food was pretty good but eggs were not thoroughly cooked and were still a bit runny. Idk perhaps it's a cultural thing. There was also no menu so my friend had to order for both of us and her son. Egg omelet had peppers and tomatoes which is not my favorite mix of foods, but another egg omelet had only meat so I found it to be better. Their homemade lemonade was very strong but the cappuccino was very good. I asked for ice but they didn't have any for that I deducted one star. It looked more like a bakery. One thing that I tried that was amazing was pistachio cookies. Amazing cookies! Some of the pastries were also great! read more

First time customer here and I was met with good service. When you walk into the bakery, you are met with the prettiest cakes and cookies. Lots of places to sit down and eat too. Although I didn't get to try any of the desserts, the breakfast was filling and delicious! read more

The place was empty and it stayed almost empty until we left. The water asked us if we have reservations, which we did not make much about it. We ordered one meat and one cheese pie. They came in the plate upside down. Okay, fine, maybe it was too early in the day and they were not in the mood. The pie was warmed up, but just a little. The worst was when I got home and the stomach started to be bad. Also, a bad after taste of oven. Will not return. read more

We bought pastries and sweets worth $77. When we got home we realized they forgot to put in one lbs of the cookies we bought. I called twice for a refund of the cookies since we live 45 minutes away and can't go back and pick them up. They never gave us the refund. This is bad customer service. We've been customers for a while and this was very disappointing for us. Also, the quality of food is getting worse. We couldn't eat the walnut baklava because it tasted bad and not fresh. read more

There are so many good things to say about this. But I will start off by saying that the presentation of the birthday cake I got was awesome. I got two. I got one pistachio and I got another red velvet. I love the shape because it just makes the cake looks so pretty. It could've used a little bit more moistness. But I was happy with it. I love the location of this restaurant and I will check it out when I come back again to the area. If you like desserts and you are in the mood for sweets, definitely check this place out. If you want something customized, I would definitely ask them to see what they can do for you. read more

If you're thinking twice about visiting Sultan Artisan Bakery, don't. It is so absolutely delicious! I flew in from Chicago and visited with my friends. We were craving panini but the waiter said we don't serve toasts at this time however he saw how much I've wanted it, and decided to make it anyways. Not only that, we also received free desert at the end of our meal. The attention was phenomenal and the food was even better! You won't regret your decision! read more
