Old World Charm ! I felt like i was back in Istanbul in the the district of Sultanahmet a historic neighborhood. I was so pleased to see the seating , & ambience was more fine dining than bakery ! Typical in many European cities . Istanbul is on the European side of Turkey . Def one of those get dressed for coffee places you often see on SM ! Many mouth watering choices of desserts and confectionary . The Turkish ppl are know for their tea and coffee . Albeit their coffee makes espresso seem like water LOL

Eggs with mono breakfast

Stopped in for brunch. Omelets and mono breakfast were good. Great selection of baked goods to accompany the amazingly well prepared coffees. Servers were friendly and efficient. Atmosphere is nice, loved the blue colored seating. Door is automated and keeps opening letting a chilly breeze into the dining room; this will be a problem in the Winter unless they address this.

Food was so fresh! It took time to get it (about) an hour but it was delicious! Service was great the servers were nice ... just the amount of time to get the food you would think we got a complicated meal. Ambiance is a cute spot to get lunch or dinner or a snack open till 12 so I guess you decide.

I came home with my friends disappointed because our concert got cancelled, but then we passed The Sultan Bakery lit up in all its glory at 10:30 pm on a Friday night and we decided to give it a try. The place was packed - it's definitely a great place to meet friends to socialize when you don't want to go to a bar. It's very hard to pick a dessert from the case, because there are so many. I'm sure what I picked was meant for more than one person but I ate the whole thing - it was a chocolate mousse type cake. It was great!! My friends both ate their entire desserts too. My friend also got the Turkish coffee. That was too strong for my tastes, but she loved it. I ordered a bottled beverage from the case instead but would have tea the next time. Service was great, our waiter was funny and offered suggestions. The atmosphere inside was very bright and happy.

The restaurant is beautiful, and the dessert display was amazing. We came for dinner, and the hummus was delicious. Unfortunately, my entrée arrived before my friend's. We had to ask several times about the other entrée, which was just a burger. By the time it arrived, my food was cold. Overall, the food was okay.

Went here for the first time to get something for a family party. I had no idea it was a whole cafe inside. The place is beautiful. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful. I had the pleasure of meeting Ezra on of the co-owners [I believe]. She was informative, kind, helpful, and respectful. They have handicap accessible bathrooms which is a huge plus. Plenty of seating. The pastries look like the should be in a magazine. I can't wait to come back and sit for a brunch.

Good pastries but highly overpriced. You can drive to Clifton and get the same food for much cheaper.

From the moment we walked into Kervan, it's felt cozy, upscale, and it looked beautiful inside. If…read moreyou're looking for a nice spot to celebrate a special occasion, a romantic date night, this is your place! Our server was absolutely fantastic bringing a delicious freshly made turkish bread to our table. Between the fresh and tantalizing Shepard Salad, to the savory, delicious Hunkar Begendi and Isekendar, everything was insanely delicious and beautifully presented. And we finished up with dessert which was out of this world, I highly recommend the Kazandibi which is absolutely delicious. We will absolutely be back here again very soon!

We moved to this neighborhood about 7 months ago, and this restaurant--right at the junction of 202…read morex main rd--has been calling out to me ever since. Didn't really get a chance to visit until today. We got some good news, and I truly believe in celebrating on the same day. So we got ready quickly and drove 1 mile (haha yes, just 1 mile). It's super close to where I live. It was a cold winter night, and as expected, the restaurant was completely empty. From the outside, it doesn't look very big--but once inside, it actually is. There are two different seating areas and one separate space for parties/bookings or multipurpose events. The ambience was good, warm and inviting. We got our desired table easily and started browsing the menu. There were lots of options. we ordered: Kerven Mixed Grill - $60 It was a mix of everything, 1 skewer of Lamb kebab, 2 pc lamb chops, 2 pc meatballs, I replaced beef shish with lamb again, and Gyro The presentation was very eye-catching. The dish comes with fire in the middle and meats placed on both sides -- looked amazing. It's a lot of food for two people, for sure. Overall, the dish was 5/5, except for the lamb chops. They were cooked medium-well by default, but I personally prefer well-done. Other than the lamb chops, everything else was great: It also came with sauces, and they served balloon bread on the house, which was a nice touch. One thing to note: the meat gets cold pretty quickly, and once it's cold, it's not as enjoyable--so definitely eat it while it's hot... Overall, it was a nice fine-dining experience, perfect for family time and celebrating those small but meaningful good moments.

COME HUNGRY! I came here to celebrate my brother-in-law's birthday with my husband's family…read morerecently. There were 6 of us and we split the Efsane Family Special for 4 people and added lamb chops thinking we wouldn't have enough food lol the special also came with dessert but my sister-in-law also ordered a rice pudding. The 6 of us could've easily had the family special for 4 without ordering anything else - there was so much food and we had leftovers to take home!! For context, we all eat a LOT so to say we had leftovers is saying a lot! Quantity aside, the food itself was delicious. The bread is served fresh and steaming hot, the dips are delicious and flavorful, meat is seasoned and cooked perfectly (the chicken shish and lamb adana are my favorites), and the bitter black tea and sweet baklava are a perfect way to end the meal. I left there stuffed and so happy! The staff was also very friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be back!

I just moved from Montclair, which is very near the famous middle eastern food scene in Paterson,…read moreNJ. I was very worried that, after the move, I would not be able to find middle eastern food that would compare. However, I was wrong, and Esfane definitely satisfied my craving! I was in the mood for a light lunch, so I ordered the Shepard's Salad, the Baba Ghannouj, and the Lentil Soup. The Baba Ghannouj was excellent and came with lots of pita bread. It could've been a little smokier for my taste, but overall I got a huge serving and it was very creamy and flavorful. The Sheppard's salad was similarly huge and delicious. The lentil soup tasted home-made and was so comforting to dip all of my extra bread in. At the end of lunch, I was also served some complimentary tea, which definiitely was the icing on the cake to this exceptional experience. Overall, I was extremely satisfied by the quality of the food, but also by the amount. The service was similarly excellent. My water was constantly filled and the waiters checked on me numerous times to ensure everything was going well. The decorations inside were also exceptional, and the restaurant definitely gives high-class date night vibes. I could totally see coming back for a date night with my husband. I think the only downside is that I didn't find the food to be QUITE as good as some Paterson joints like Al Basha, and the price felt like it was 1.5x-2x as much. Probably worth it though, because this has got to be one of the better restaurants around in Flanders.

Durum Doner is pretty close to the gym i go to which is good...and very bad! Lol Anyway, when i arrived I didnt notice the place right away and had to do a couple of turns. Inside was nice and cozy. It wasnt a very large place but had enough space to accommodate maybe 10-15 people? There is also outside seating. I bet its nice during a nice sunny weather. As you can see in the photos submitted by many Yelpers, the food looks very good! One of the things that caught my attention was actually how they prepare their plates and how nicely the meats were cooked. When i tasted my orders, they did not disappoint one bit! Chicken and beef were very flavorful and the smell that wafted inside the car as i was bringing them home was sooo darn good it was almost torture. The rice that came with the beef and chicken gyro was flavorful for some reason and the mix of "noodle strings?" was surprisingly very good. Pita bread was nice and soft although became a bit soggy after since it was placed below the meat. Perhaps it was also to catch the oil? Hmm. But either way, i was a happy customer today and ate my big fill...Fyi after a workout. Not good!! But sometimes you just have to be bad right? Will definitely be recommending this place!
