Had the guava highball and it was interesting . It wasn't overly strong and had good flavor. Haven't been here in awhile but service continues to be great and the aesthetics of the place are amazing.
Was in the neighborhood with a friend, I had to wait for her so I checked the area for local cafes--saw the one review that said it's a great place to chill and work. Well, I loved the matcha latte, it was perfect! I had it with oat milk which was great. There were some options that were only with premixed regular milk which was sad for me since I can't have milk but I was glad to have a few options. The ambiance was very relaxed and comfortable. It was quite packed for a Monday early afternoon. Love that they have a music record room--makes it unique. There was music on, it wasn't too loud. Definitely a nice place to sit and work or have a coffee with a friend, they do have a great menu of deserts, lattes, coffee and tea. There were some interesting options with ube and golden milk. It's in a business building, a little hard to find but worth searching for.
Cool, vibey coffee joint quite literally in the middle of nowhere lol. Nice interior hip decor with plenty of seating (crowded when i was there). Had two ube lattes which were pretty good but leaned more towards the coffee side and couldn't really taste the ube as much. Still great though! Overall i could see why this spot gets its crowd. Would give it a try again :)
Okay so I want to start off that this is a really great Cafe spot to work, relax, and chill with a friend. There were lot of people working there, socializing, and just having a good time. I got several different drinks Kashmir latte, Mango matcha (speciality), Ube latte. Im going to be honest maybe it just not for me but I would give them all around a 7/10 as it tasted decent but nothing over spectacular. The latte all tasted strong like coffee, couldnt really taste the kashmir or ube taste as much. The mango matcha speciality was definitely much better (limited time drink) as the foam and matcha/mango stood out more. Maybe will have to try it again, but just didnt feel like the taste hit or stood out, but the spot is very very nice.
Thumbody is tucked away inside an office building, which admittedly makes for a slightly unexpected location - but once you step inside, it all makes sense. The space has really nice, laid-back vibes and feels welcoming without trying too hard. It's the kind of spot that works just as well for catching up with a friend as it does for getting some work done. I really enjoyed their seasonal specialty coffee and went with the Palo Santo Latte, which was unique, comforting, and well-balanced. What initially drew me in, though, was the impressive selection of ube items. I grabbed the ube bun to go with my coffee, and it did not disappoint -soft, flavorful, and a perfect pairing. Despite being very busy, there's ample seating inside, and service is quick and efficient. The baristas are incredibly friendly and make the experience feel warm and personal. Parking is also easy and plentiful since it's located in an office building, which is a huge plus. Thumbody describes itself as a cafe, record shop, and creative space -and that really comes through. Between the thoughtfully made coffee, fresh pastries, vinyl records, and community-forward energy, it's a spot you'll want to linger in. Definitely a place I'd come back to.
Don't let the office-forward exterior fool you. This cafe might be located on the ground floor of the most nondescript building, but that also means plenty of parking. What it lacks in curb appeal, it more than makes up for with a cozy and chill ambiance. The mural of album covers is a cool nod to the cafe's part DNA as a vinyl records shop. This also means the playlist at Thumbody is always fantastic. There are plenty of tables, chairs, and counters to find a place to hang or work, so that even on a busy weekend morning, my friend and I had no trouble staking out a spot. As someone trying to cut coffee out of her life, I loved to see mentions of matcha and ube on the menu. That led me quite naturally to order The Hulk, their signature matcha and ube latte. With bright and foamy purple and green layers, this drink caught stares all the way from the counter to our table. It's clearly a drink made for the 'gram, but with actual substance by way of taste. Having read some reviews on The Hulk, I was worried that I wouldn't be able to taste the distinct but subtle flavors, but I was surprised by how well they complemented each other. Sure, stirring the layers together turned the two colors into more of an ugly, mottled green, but it became a gorgeous, 'not-that-sweet' drink that we Asians love so well. Everyone behind the counter is friendly and efficient. Every time I looked up, I saw them moving like a machine to churn out a regular flurry of new drink orders. That there was such a steady flow of customers during the hour or so I was there seems to suggest what a hotspot this has become in the neighborhood. I didn't get to try any pastries this visit, but judging from the high praise in previous reviews it looks like I'll have to go back to give these a try.

It's a small space, but they have tables for anyone who wants to sit, chat, or get some work done. As someone with celiac, I was thrilled to see gluten-free options. I tried the Oreo gluten-free chocolate cake and it was absolutely delicious. I also ordered a caramel cold brew with vanilla cold foam, and it definitely hit the spot. I'm looking forward to trying more items on the menu next time. Overall, a cozy little gem with great drinks and thoughtful options. I definitely recommend checking this place out!
I call it a secret cafe because you would never know there's a cafe hidden in this massive office building. But this cafe isn't just a coffee place for the office, it is a legit destination cafe. There's a lot of people working on their laptops but I always manage to find a table. I love the big windows, albeit the view is of the parking lot. What I love is their espresso beans. I've tried a cappuccino and an americano and they both taste smooth without bitterness. The baristas are nice too. One time my friend and I forgot to ask for decaf and they started to make the drinks already but they still remade the drinks when we asked and they did it without an attitude. I appreciate that. I wish they had more interesting baked good options, but I love the music, large space, the vibe, and espresso drinks here.
First time here, but I was so excited to come; I was reading reviews on Yelp, Google and on their website; it's a kind of place that I love to go. I'm a Coffee fan and you can find dozens of coffee beverages, and some other interesting drinks. This place has salty food on the Grab-and- go area. you can find pastries, bread also. I wanted to eat a UBE PAN DE SAL (purple salty cheese bread ) but they were run out, so I picked a "Guava & Cheese pan de sal " which was soft and yummy , and a HONEY LAVENDER latte with regular milk( the cashier recommended me the regular milk) I ordered my latte in a mug and they have really precious colored mugs for customers that makes you happy ..My Latte was really, really delicious!!! Chicken Pesto Sandwich ( on focaccia)was fresh and tasty ( I also devoured one of this , haha) Fair prices and enough portions. Barista was so kind and explained me all the concept and how the place works. Spot is so spacious and had diferent kind of sitting areas: 1-stools and a bar with a street view, 2-regular tables, 3-a small living area and ... a separate vynil LP record collection area where you can stay and enjoy a time. Thank you Yelpers for introducing to another coffee shop I can add to my favorites list! Thumbody is located inside a business building off the highway, so at first it was tricky to locate exactly where in the building it was if you're not familiar with it but after my 1st visit, I knew exactly where to park (visitors parking) and easily locate Thumbody's entrance nearby. I can in 3 times over the past week and really enjoyed each visit! I had the mango sticky rice matcha and it really is as god as the reviews claim it to be! I asked for mine a little less sweet as I don like my beverages to taste like dessert but just sweet enough and Thumbody baristas delivered! I also had the ube and guava cheese pan de sol. They are the perfect snack to go with the beverages, not too sweet and soft. The ambience is very chill, hipster vibes with vinyl records.
well waddayaknow! four years already whoa!! and this place is still awesome. the cafe family has also grown - back then i usually just see Marcus and Audrey but now there more new pleasant staff faces too! and thats a good thing. As always, drinks are delicious and I always look forward to their unique seasonal or special drinks. They always come up with new and interesting flavors - flavors that I havent really seen or tried anywhere else such as Marzipan, persimmon, carrot cake, and there's this "Thai Bolt" that im gonna have to try soon. lol the pastries are also good and just recently ive tried this scallion cheese pandesal which was a pleasant light breakfast treat! Hoping for many more visits here. Thumbs up to thumbody!
Vibey spot with yummy, creative drink options and unique pastries! It does get pretty busy around the afternoon, but the service is great and the staff is friendly. There is a good amount of seating, fit for studying/co-working but noise level is pretty moderate with the music and other patrons. There is a small room housing their LP records, which was very cool and cozy! Can't wait for my next visit to try their Guava Pan de Sal and other delicious matcha drinks!

I made a latte run last week and picked up a few from Thumbody for our team at work. Sometimes you need a little pick-me-up to help you push through the last leg of the workday. Our group order included two hot honey lavender lattes, 1 hot golden latte, and 1 hot earl grey matcha (my go-to order). When I got to the coffee shop, the drinks were ready for me in a cup holder for easy carry out. I noticed an ube tres leches in a nearby cold case, so that ended up coming back with me to the office. I love Thumbody - great drinks, tasty pastries, friendly peeps, vibrant environment, and a chill vibe. Highly recommended! read more

Thumbody has a cute setup inside a random office building, with plants artwork, and a sunny room in the back with vinyl records. This shop is such a comfy space to sit, relax, study, or read. I stopped in for a black cold brew and a savory breakfast pastry ball. The pastry has good flavor but it was a little dry. The cold brew was not bitter, but it had a grounded aftertaste that I did not enjoy. Next time I find myself in Paramus, I'll have to try one of their specialty drinks and yummy desserts instead! Best specialty coffee spot in the area. Located on the ground floor of an office park building, this place provides good vibes, well-crafted drinks, and friendly service. This is a hidden gem. Apple Maps does not do fantastic with directions to the front door but once you find it, it's so worth it! Delicious matcha and unique flavor combinations. Would recommend for something looking for a drink a little out of the ordinary! read more

Super aesthetically pleasing cafe. They always have friendly service & always happy to help with suggestions when it comes to drinks / pastries. Always had a great experiences with the pastries but the drinks can be lacking depending on the drink. The matcha was too sweet for me but i can see someone who prefers sweeter lattes love their matcha. Never any issue with parking & it's great spot to do some remote / studying done. read more

I've been to Thumbody a few times now and have always enjoyed my experience. They've got some creative drinks and it's a nice place to sit and enjoy a drink and some small bites. Service has always been friendly. On my most recent visit I got some coffee and ginger based drink and it was ok. I drank it all, but I probably wouldn't get it again. Now my girlfriend got a mango sticky rice matcha drink and it was AMAZING. I love mango sticky rice and I love matcha but I've never thought of having both together in the same cup. Somehow it just worked and one flavor never overpowered the other. Prices are about typical for a cafe like this. I do like that they have a room with a bunch of vinyl record, pretty unique. Thinking about that mango sticky rice matcha has me wanting to go back soon. read more
Staff is very friendly, cafe is clean, and the space is inviting and open with seating inside and out. It's located in a commercial building, so it is definitely hidden, but that is why it is a hidden gem. Fresh pastries made daily all having influences from different cultures, withba coffee menu that has everything you need to get your caffeine fix. I got a ube hot latte and a guava and cheese pastry. The pastry was a light and fluffy pillow filled with a savory sweet guava/cheese mixture. The latte was a nice balance of earthy and sweet , but still tasted like coffee. I have visited Thumbody twice since my friend recommended this cafe as one of her favorites in the area. I don't blame her since the drinks and pastries here are really delicious! I tried their Earl Grey Matcha and Sticky Mango Rice Matcha and both are delicious. If you like something sweeter, go for the Sticky Mango Rice Matcha. I have also tried their Guava & Cheese Pan de Sal and the Ube Pan de Sal. Both are delicious but I would say the Guava & Cheese one is my favorite, it's a mix of savory and sweet! The service is fast and the atmosphere of the cafe is great. They have a records shop in the back where you can buy from. A lot of people come here with their laptops to do work since they have outlets on the walls. I'd definitely recommend this place if you just need a space to catch up with friends, try filipino inspired drinks, and/or work from home/study at! read more
I was really confused finding the place because it's within a big building but the atmosphere is really cute. There's a "secret" LP room along the walls (go look for the door" and the bartenders are really nice and cool. The menu is very unique with adds of ube, which I love!! I got the ube pan de sol with cream cheese which was really good. A little bit drier than I thought it would be but wasn't bad at all and really filling. To pair it, I thought too much ube would be overload so I got the earl grey matcha which tasted really good. Never thought of complimenting both flavors until today. The place itself is spacious although I was really surprised by how quickly it filled up and how busy it got!! Will def be back again when in the area! (: read more

Located in a business building with lots of parking. Has tons of seating so you can relax and enjoy the music and ambiance. Good selection of items to order. Was a little later in the day so not much pastries left but that's okay because I got the iced ube latte which was tasty. Great service. Person walked over as soon as he saw me approach the counter. He recommended the ube. Will come back to try other items! read more
Have had thumbody like 4-5 times now over a few years. Place is really great, definitely worth driving to a random doctor's office to grab a drink. Place is kinda in the most random building, but they expanded somewhat recently within the last two years. Cafe was pretty small originally but now its like double the size, plenty of seating now. Staff is always kind and never had a problem. Their drinks are great, few places in Jersey I can think even serve ube drinks. Their ube coffee is great, best I'll at least get in North Jersey. Would 100% recc to anyone who likes ube coffee or ube matcha. read more
Thumbody, at this point, is visited without even thinking, when in the Rt. 4/ Paramus area. Today, I ordered an Iced Cafe Latte and, as expected, Thumbody created a gem. The service is always cordial and every staff member works quickly and efficiently. The reason for this visit was to stock up on their terrific Ube Pan de Sal, with cream cheese filling. Every single beautiful bun is a delight and this wonderful addiction will last a lifetime. :-p read more
The baristas working were so sweet and the space was super colorful and inviting! My friend and I both got lattes and while they were good and you could definitely taste the coffee, waaaay too much syrup and flavoring were put in so it gathered at the bottom and no amount of swirling and twirling was getting rid of it so I was sucking up chunks of caramel the entire drink lol. Also kind of a weird space for a coffee shop, but I'll definitely give it another go in the future. read more

Went for their Summer drink and was not disappointed. Mango sticky rice macha drink, I am not a fan of match but this combination somehow worked. The sticky rice compliments the mango in a layer that makes it feels a dessert then a layer of matcha then the cream that balances the taste. Their pastry are always excellent, their best sellers ube and guava pandesal has been always on point. read more

I tried this place for the first time and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The place is also such a cool place to do work with plenty of seating and cool decor. I tried the "hulk" drink which was ube and matcha mixed together. The ube itself (a nutty creamy flavor) tasted great, but I didn't get any matcha taste (that could just be because the ube overpowered it). I wasn't a fan of the fact that the matcha is pre-sweetened with sugar. I didn't get to catch if the employees whisked the matcha or it was premade in a tub (like most places do when the matcha is presweetened with sugar). If you're looking for a matcha tasting drink don't try the one with ube and maybe try the other flavors to give them a shot. 10/10 vibes and staff friendliness but I can't speak to the matcha read more
Thumbody is turning into one of my go-to cafes for getting work done later in the day. It's conveniently open until 9pm on Thursdays and Fridays, which is a lot later than other cafes in the area. Although it can get really busy, the interior is spacious and there's ample seating. The ambiance is also unmatched. They play vinyl records and the whole vibe is just laidback and ~* feel good*~. The staff is always friendly. They have a lot of regulars coming often. The Hulk is officially my favorite drink. It's half matcha, half ube, and the combination of both flavors is so well balanced. The bitterness of the matcha and the slight sweetness of the ube are a delicious match. I'll have to try more espresso drinks! read more
With a modern trendy vibe, it is a pleasant cafe to hang out with seating for mostly small groups. The place can be a little confusing to find with only a small sign in-front of a building of mostly medical offices The cashier was nice in explaining all of their unique drink names and what was inside. Satisfied with their service. I also enjoyed my drink much more then I thought as it had a well balance of flavors. I like to go to cafes to study but this place might not be the best place, not many outlet areas/accessibility and the chairs wouldn't let me endure for over 2 hours comfortably. Finally, a warm and cozy alternative to Starbucks! I've been on the hunt for a new coffee spot that offers a welcoming vibe, good music, and a comfortable space to get some work done--and I found it at Thumbody Coffee. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine warmth by one of the owners at the counter. His wife was also there and just as lovely. Not knowing what to order on my first visit, I asked for something different, and he gave me a few suggestions. I ended up going with the Uber Latte and a pastry filled with cream cheese and passion fruit jelly--both were a total win. The space itself is great for working or just relaxing, with couches and multiple tables that make you feel right at home. I'll definitely be back. Cute coffee shop, perfect for a working space in the area. Nice hidden gem. My only feedback is that more charging stations are needed if you're spending a few hours. read more

super cool looking place, i loved all the decorations. i think like every other cool looking coffee shop, prices were a little high, even the cups say "don't say damn when you hear the price" lol, but i don't mind it, their drinks are very good. even their employees are cool looking. read more

A MUST visit! Ordered an oat latte and hubby ordered a regular latte with two strawberry almond croissants. The coffee is so good I didn't need sugar. So happy this was posted. I'll be back. read more
