DP's will always be a place of nostalgia for me as I have been coming since I was born. So happy to finally be able to try it after reopening. While it's definitely modernized in appearance it still has all the dark bar charm! The wait staff was so friendly and great at making recommendations. My friends and I started with the breaded mushrooms and lobster sliders. Both really hit the spot. I got the sliced steak as my entree with the garlic fry upgrade and it was cooked perfectly. For dessert we got the Tartufo -which can never be bad. I'll be back for sure.

DP's is back! Came on reopening weekend and it was packed. Looks like they made the bar longer which may have taken some tables away. A lot of familiar faces. I hope they bring back the crab and shrimp appetizer. We love their garlic sauce which was not as garlicky as I remember but still pretty good.

I am such a sucker for dive restaurants and bars with good food and drink. I've been going to Patsy's in Patterson for years, same with Landmark in Livingston, etc. I absolutely love those places because not only is the food great but the nostalgic atmosphere really lends lots of the dining experience. Enter DP's pub in Garfield. This place has outstanding food at extremely reasonable prices and a casual, divey atmosphere that really can't be beat. We ordered oysters, mussels, shrimp and crab meat appetizer. Four salads, two orders of scallops, stuffed shrimp, shrimp Parmesan, a bottle of wine and two drinks. The bill was a ridiculous $161. Anywhere else I would've been glad to pay double. This is an outstanding, excellent find that I will absolutely return to as soon as I can. Kudos.

If you're going to be a cash only business, have an ATM onsite instead of sending patrons 2 blocks away to a bank's ATM.

10/5 Stars!! We…read morerecently had my Mom's 60th birthday party at the Railyard Tavern. I worked with Bob in coordinating everything. He was very accommodating and quick to reply to email. He was a big help in answering any question I had. Our party was roughly 25 people and we reserved the back room for the party. The back room was big enough for all of us to fit comfortably without it feeling cramped. We ordered the apps ahead of time and were told that they would be ready at 5:30. Sure enough, at 5:30 all of the apps came out and they were a big hit. Everything was fantastic. We got some large pizzas, nachos, mozzarella sticks, potstickers, and calamari. There was practically nothing left. The entree's were great and came without delay. I didn't hear a single complaint from any of the guests. I'd be remiss if I didn't talk about our waiter for the night, Alan. I don't think I've ever seen someone be so on top of things before. He handled the whole room essentially by himself and somehow it never seemed like there was a single hiccup the whole night. He was beyond excellent. He was such a good communicator and kept me in the loop with timelines and was overall very organized. He played a significant role in the night going as well as it did. My whole family, and most importantly my mom, had such a wonderful night. And I have Bob, Alan, and the rest of the staff to thank for that.

I was excited to check out this local sports bar in Lodi after seeing all of the positive reviews…read more Honestly, it was a little underwhelming for me. Maybe I just ordered the "wrong things". Either way, my experience didn't live up to the hype. I visited on a late Saturday night. There's a parking lot behind the restaurant. The entrance can be tricky to find... It's located in the back on the left-hand side. The exterior and interior are both pretty dark, dull, and dingy. It's not the most inviting atmosphere at first. It has a divey, industrial, and rustic vibe to it, but hey... sometimes the best food comes from places that don't look like much. So I try not to judge. It wasn't too busy, and the service was attentive. The menu has your classic American comfort food - wings, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, etc. They switch it up with daily specials like skirt steak, chicken parm, and pasta. They have a full bar with cocktails, drafts, bottled beers, can ciders, and wines. You can even do a four-beer flight and make it a tasting experience! I ordered: *Dark & Stormy Cocktail [Goslings Dark Rum, Ginger Beer, Lime Juice] ($14) - Not the best one I've had, but it was solid. If you like ginger and rum, this is a must try. The dark rum has hints of caramel which works really well with the spicy ginger beer. The lime juice adds a citrus kick, so it's a really refreshing drink. *Margarita ($18) - As a tequila girly, I've had my fair share of margaritas. This one didn't do it for me. It was a little too sour/tart, which overpowered everything else. *Cubano Sandwich [includes roast pork, black forest ham, swiss cheese, pickles, mayo, and mustard with side of fries] ($16) - I wasn't expecting an authentic Cubano from an American sports bar, so my expectations weren't super high. This was good, but not great. The pork was flavorful, but could've been more tender. I wish there were more pickles and mayo for that extra tangy crunch. The bread was pressed a little too hard, so it was a bit tough to bite through. *Double Blackened Chicken Breast Sandwich [includes pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayo, red peppers, and red onion on brioche with side of fries] ($18) - This was huge and filling! They did not skimp out on the protein. The brioche bun was soft and buttery. The chicken was well seasoned - smoky and savory with crispy charred edges. BUT... to my disappointment, the inside was dry and not juicy at all. Another small issue was the ratio - There was so much chicken compared to the rest of the toppings, so it wasn't the most cohesive sandwich. It really needed more cheese and chipotle mayo to tie all the flavors together. The fries were the best part - thick, crispy, and golden! It's decent bar food, just not the best I've had. Nothing was bad, but nothing was great or memorable. For the price, I didn't feel it was worth it. I do appreciate that their food is served piping hot and fresh. To be fair, this is probably the perfect spot for beer lovers. I happen to not be one, lol. The burger options sound popular and promising too. I'd consider giving them another shot for Happy Hour or to try a burger, but it's not at the top of my list. Just because it's not the sports bar for me, doesn't mean it won't be the one for you.
