Waterfall in covered outdoor seating area

I treated my friend to Father's Day dinner at Oceanos. The ambience was beautiful. We sat in a covered outdoor seating area with a waterfall. Our server was attentive and offered suggestions for cocktails and entrees. We ordered mussels as our appetizer; they were fully steamed and the broth was delicious. I ordered the snapper stuffed with crab - phenomenal flavor. My friend ordered seafood pasta that was also flavorful. We did order a bottle of Rose to drink with our meal. Strangely, the bottle was kept in an iced bucket away from our table, so we were unable to refill our glasses on our own and had to wait for our server to check in to refill. That was the only negative. We will be back to try other items in the menu.

The food and service here is always impeccable. Everything on the menu is fresh and you never have to worry about the seafood you're getting. Also no worries in recommending to others. Great spot for lunch and better for dinner. Amazing selection! Valet parking always available

Valentine' day at Océanos Oyster bar and grill was amazing. We were seated in a very romantic fireplace area table for two. We started off with their samplers of Oysters so fresh and yummy, we then had their grilled octopus perfection if I must say . I had a Freaky lychee Martini-let me correct that 3 to be honest they were so good and refreshing. For our main meal I had seared sesame tuna basmati rice and these delicious veggies. For dessert we had a Ekmek -angel hair filo dough, vanilla custard, honey, toasted almonds, simply delicious and not sweet at all which I enjoyed very much. The music played was perfect songs I could relate to which was surprising to me so I did really enjoyed it. All in all can't wait to go back perhaps in the spring as I saw a Garden area with seating .

Been here a few times, love this place! The food and drinks are amazing, and the service is super attentive. I would say some of my faves are the miso salmon, the mussels, the crab cakes and the desserts!!!

Beautiful ambiance. Service fair. Seafood was not worth price. Stuffed shrimp with crabmeat was fair. Expensive not a good value. .

My first visit here was amazing. The food, service and atmosphere was outstanding. My entree was cooked perfectly and very fresh.

Typically when I have come here, I have loved the food, but we went recently and while the apps and dessert were really good, our entrees were just okay. The Tuna Tartare and Honey Sagnaki Cheese were delicious- the tartare was topped with crispy French fries, to balance the creaminess and softness of the rest of the dish, and the Sagnaki cheese was seared golden brown on the top and truly yummy. We both had specials for our entrees- my husband had the Snapper and I had the African lobster tail and 5 oz. halibut with sweet potato puree and asparagus. While I enjoyed the halibut, which was very tender, the lobster tail was chewy and maybe a tad overcooked, and the sweet potato puree was too sweet for my taste. The surprise dessert brought at the end; however, was really good. A light and creamy custard with some crunchy almonds on top, we really enjoyed it. Overall, I would give the experience 3.5 stars, as it is an expensive restaurant, and our entrees were just okay this time around, but past experiences have been great.

We had a fantastic dinner last night at Oceanos. My wife and I made reservations for 6pm and upon arrival we were sat immediately despite the fact that the restaurant was packed with people. The place is very attractive with multiple rooms each beautifully adorned. The place gives off a steak house vibe with dim lighting and dark wood accents. The service was on point with our server doing a great job of explaining the menu and the drinks. We got fresh bread with olive oil and olives to start. We then received our drinks, both of which were delicious. Not too sweet and really well made, we each enjoyed 3 of them they were so good. The oysters were so fresh I truly enjoyed them, then we got the octopus! Wow that thing was so amazing I couldn't believe how much I loved it. It had some crunchy burnt edges but was so tender it melted in my mouth. So well seasoned I have to say it was by far the best I ever had. My main dinner plates were good but not great, they Scallops were tender but lacked a good sear as well as a little seasoning. The tuna dish my wife had was really tasty, in fact I liked it more than I expected. The ambience was amazing with people dining and enjoying themselves. We even met some nice people sitting next to us and enjoyed some good conversation with them. Overall a very nice evening with good food, great service and nice people. I will definitely be back to this place again, especially during the summer when I can enjoy sitting outside.

Awesome experience! Let me get to every detail of what makes me give this restaurant 5 stars! Location- easily accessible from Garden State Parkway, lots of parking on the site. Visible signage outside. Lovely floral decor that blends well with the exterior of the restaurant . Attentiveness/ warm welcome- staff are very pleasant and welcoming. We were guided right away to our table. Drinks- they have an extensive selections of wine and liquor. But of course, we love our cocktails, so we had the Freaky Lychee and the Lambrusco Sangria. Food- extensive selection of menu choices. And of course, for appetizers we have to try their fresh oysters, the Mediterranean Spread which is an assortment of four varieties of spreads paired with pita triangles, tried the Shrimp Saganaki which is pan seared shrimps with tomatoes, peppers and crumbled feta cheese. For our main dish, we had the Sesame crusted Ahi tuna salad, the Mediterranean Salmon and their special of the day, potato crusted salmon topped with mango salsa. For desserts, we picked the Vesuvius- layers of chocolate, cheesecake and crushed walnuts and of course the Cheesecake topped with strawberries and berries. The ambience of the place is a plus, it exudes elegance, the decor and lighting blends well giving it a relaxed, comfortable dining atmosphere. Plus, they have multiple rooms that can cater to small groups for birthdays and events. Definitely a restaurant worth checking out!

Ashley is THE Best! When she's your waitress you will be taken care of. You should try the Octopus. You should always listen to the specials. Because they are usually Special! And you may not get it next time. Kind of like Costco. There's a quiet side and a more boisterous side near the bar, and a couple nice outdoor options. I prefer the bar, but probably because I like to drink. Oh! Speaking of drinking, please try the Sangria. I find it one of the best in the world. The Monarch in Prague may have an edge. But how often do we get there...

    Lychee cocktail

Overall it was a good experience but not great. It started with a ceramic bowl with a big chip on the inside they used to serve the olives. I expected better at a nice place like this. Atmosphere - 4.5 Service - 4... I'd say standard. No one came to wipe off crumbs off the table but at least I didn't have to wait too long for water or bread. Food - mixed... octopus appetizer was very good but I didn't care for their lobster and sea bass combo. I didn't even finish half of the food. Cocktails - 5 (pricey but very good)

    Richard M.

Fantastic gem in the area. The calamari appetizer was enough to be a full meal in itself. I trusted the waitress' choice of swordfish and was rewarded with a delicious meal. Been here a few times for events and will always gladly go back.

We ask if they have outdoor seating and they tell us they do, then they proceed to seat us in an area with windows and ceiling! And right next to a large and very loud Bridal shower (that would have been nice to know, we would have asked to be seated as far away as humanly possible.) Then we sit for 30 solid minutes without a peep from ANYONE. Then suddenly a confused looking young lady steps up and informs us "no one told her we were here." Guess that's OUR problem? Placed a drink order and another 20 minutes passes when I am informed it is no longer on tap. Drinks finally arrive, the "Craftsman IPA" is flat and "off" tasting. White wine was warm as if it was sitting in the sun. Food was not much better sadly. The Calamari was flavorless and tough - apparently someone forgot the Asian drizzle that was supposed to go on it. It was also that "fake" calamari where every piece is exactly the same size and shape. The "stuffed" meatballs were stuffed - with air! Literally nothing but a hole in the middle. The artichoke and crab dip had a strong fishy taste, it was so bad I feared it was tainted. To their credit they took it off the bill, eventually. And from the moment our drinks arrived earlier,, our server never once checked back on us for another drink, do we need anything, how is everything etc. Hey Craftsman - do better! Maybe some training in the kitchen and out on the floor is in order.

He was a big help in answering any question I had. Our party was roughly 25 people and we reserved the back room for the party. The back room was big enough for all of us to fit comfortably without it feeling cramped. We ordered the apps ahead of time and were told that they would be ready at 5:30. Sure enough, at 5:30 all of the apps came out and they were a big hit. Everything was fantastic. We got some large pizzas, nachos, mozzarella sticks, potstickers, and calamari. There was practically nothing left. The entree's were great and came without delay. I didn't hear a single complaint from any of the guests. I'd be remiss if I didn't talk about our waiter for the night, Alan. I don't think I've ever seen someone be so on top of things before. He handled the whole room essentially by himself and somehow it never seemed like there was a single hiccup the whole night. He was beyond excellent. He was such a good communicator and kept me in the loop with timelines and was overall very organized. He played a significant role in the night going as well as it did. I think I finally found a spot where I can confidently get good pasta AND dessert. My partner and I stopped in this week, and we were immediately met with cool, industrial-style decor and a BOMB playlist. The staff was super friendly and helped a lot with specials and recommendations, as it was our first time. For drinks, we started with a Fig & Melon cocktail and their Old Fashioned. Both were great, but I think the old-fashioned wins over the Fig & Melon. It's smoky and sweet, while the F&M was citrusy and refreshing. To start, we ordered the Mozzarella Sticks Di Bar Mutz with Mutz Hot Honey & Sour Milk. Personally, I am tired of hot honey on everything, haha, so this wasn't for me. If they served it on the side first vs drizzled on top, I probably would have enjoyed it more, as the mozz sticks alone were delicious. The breading was more like a garlic bread than the traditional coating. It also comes with extra hot honey on the side. For our mains, we shared the Spicy Rig and Trottole. Again, both are really good, but the Trottole was the CLEAR winner. The short rib was rich, and the overall dish was perfect for the savory lover like me. The Spicy Rig was lighter, and the bite of pasta with basil was excellent. For dessert, we ordered the mile high espresso martini, affogato martini, which had ice cream they make in-house, and the Samoas cheesecake. Every single thing was delicious! It's a good problem to have when you're dining somewhere, and you're battling it out for who has the best dish. Can't wait to come back and bring friends!
