Do you like sports games? Well, if you do, you're in luck . This place has many TVs with sports games on them. If you want to play a certain sports game on TV just ask a waiter and they will play it for you. This place has great food and the kids menu is great. They provide great coloring stuff for children. Family friendly sports bag with great food and service! This restaurant reminds me of Cheers. They are friendly and remember their repeat customers. Excellent GF menu that is truly GF. The WINGS are my personal favorite. The kids meals are reasonably priced and the kids love the options/food. The restaurant was recently renovated. Great place for large parties of 15-20 people. We went after a game with multiple families and they were very accommodating- everyone's order was correct. We love Railyard Tavern. If you're looking for a new place to try that is not a chain give it a go! It's a local small business that is very accommodating to the community and its customers. Patrons are also very friendly and they love chatting with the kiddos! If you're a sports person they have TVs showing the games...we often meet here with friends to catch a football/basketball game that we don't get at home. Food recommendations: wings, fries, pizza, salad, wraps

Cajun Chicken Wrap Lunch Gluten Free

Decor needs an update, everything is out of date and looks well used. We went for lunch and there was only one other table that was extremely loud. So I can't imagine how the sound carries when it's full. The waiter was nice at least. The food was lackluster and typical bar food. We came for the gluten free menu and got the spinach dip, nachos, and Cajun Wrap. Spinach dip lacked seasoning but was ok. Nachos were a sad mix between a chili and meat sauce missing in strong flavors. Cajun wrap was actually flavorful. Plating needs work as everything seemed like it was just thrown on the plate.

Did someone say football Sunday?? !!! Lol!! If you're looking for a place with plenty of screens, good drinks and food- this is defínately one of them! Came in here for a bite and a drink- was not disappointed - other than the smell of clogged sewer on my way to the bathroom- stinky!!! Food was well made- delicious- clean and quick!! Plenty of sauce on our wings- strong drinks, and generously decorated nachos!!! - with said ingredientes on the side!! No complaints here! Ambience was nice too- games in screens, patrons seem to know one another, warm and inviting. Staff was nice too. Not too loud either- very well rounded I just say!! Enjoyable!! Good times and good energy!! Sorry, I was so excited to dip my wings into the ranch and take a bite - I forgot to take pics of the dishes!! Lol - thank you for understanding .... buen provecho!!

My manager and I decided to get lunch at this spot. I walked in and asked if we could order take out and sit outside and was told we could. We were served by the bartender/server. He took our orders and I ordered the beyond burger with fries and it was about $15. We sat for a while got our food and left. When I ate the burger was good and the toppings were fresh. The fries were just ok, a little salty to eat though. All in all we had a decent experience.

I came for the GF menu. I ordered the ribs. Gloriously saucy with some nice mashed potatoes. The Cajun Chicken wrap was good too. But really? The star was the PEANUT BUTTER PIE, a throwback to the Reese's pies of my youth (from Burger King) but way better than I remember. Our server, Allan, was a superstar too. Kind and generous with his attention to our table. Came for weekday lunch, sat outside among the many plants, no wait, free parking lot nearby, good food, upscale diner vibes, fair pricing. I'm coming back for that pie very soon, friends!

FOOD: Everything was delicious. Plain chicken wings comes with different sauces so it's good when you can't decide between sauces for wings. Prosciutto pizza was amazing and quite large for two people. Lots of draft beer options. SERVICE: Ugh, place was empty even on Saturday night. Didn't ask the name of our server but young man in his twenties, he rushed us on everything: food, drinks and check. Within an hour we were there, he approached our table like 6-7 times without us calling him. We still had food on our table and he was advising us to take our food home while we just wanted to chat for a bit. Google advices place is open till 1 am and it was around 8 pm he rushed us. FEMALE BARTENDER DID NOT WEAR A MASK!!! Unacceptable at these times.

This place was awesome! It doesn't look like much from the outside but inside lies a hidden gem. Cute neighborhood bar/restaurant which definitely has its share of locals that frequent it. It boasts 3 different dining areas...bar/dining room, large room in the back that looks like it could be used for private parties & another room that just has tables & chairs for dining. Very cozy yet lively inside. I had the pizza which boasts best in the area & it was truly delicious, fries (very good potato filled fries) & my husband had the Cajun chicken wrap with fries. We ordered nachos which were good but quite a small portion for the price. We would definitely stop here & eat again! Service was great, very clean, great food & lots of menu options for everyone in your party!!

Happy Hour Menu
Kim B.

I came here on a Friday night with a couple of my friends and was not disappointed. The rail yard tavern is a great local bar and restaurant. If you're looking for a great place that offers happy hour and good food than this is your spot! Their happy hour is Monday through Friday from 3 PM to 7 PM! I love places that have a long happy hour because realistically most people leave work at 5 and by the time you get to any happy hour it's basically done. Their happy hour has drink and food specials which I'm all about! Some food options are mozzarella sticks, fried zucchini sticks, wings, and jalapeño poppers. Overall, the service, food, and drinks are great. I highly recommend!

I had the banana pudding, it was perfectly moist and not too strong on the banana. The beers were cold and refreshing on a sat night listening to live bands? Couldn't get any better! Def recommend Steel wheel for a drama free night out. But keep in mind they do get pretty busy by like 6pm. I believe they do take reservations, def make one if you plan on visiting. We stopped in mid-week for a family dinner after work and even on a Wednesday the place was buzzing. The restaurant itself is pretty tiny, which makes for a cozy atmosphere but also means tables are very close together. If you can, I'd definitely recommend making a reservation. The menu is somewhat minimal, but the food overall was good. I eat gluten-free and noticed the options were a bit limited, which made ordering slightly challenging. I ended up going with the sea scallops. They were nicely cooked, but the portion was smaller than I expected--five small scallops with some vegetables. For the price, I do wish the portion had been a bit more generous. I have to admit I left still a little hungry. My dad ordered the short rib grilled cheese and really enjoyed it. That was probably the standout dish at our table. My sister ordered the honey bourbon chicken and said it was okay, but afterward she mentioned she probably should have gone with the short rib grilled cheese instead. One surprise of the night was live music on a Wednesday. I usually enjoy live music, but since we were hoping to catch up as a family it made conversation a little difficult. The music was fairly loud for such a small space. Service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. They also have a rewards program, which worked out nicely--my dad received a complimentary dessert for his birthday. I ordered the crème brûlée, which was a great way to end the meal. A couple practical tips: parking in Ridgewood can be tricky. The restaurant advertises valet parking, though we didn't use or see it during our visit. If you find street parking, make sure to feed the meter because the town is known for giving out tickets. In warmer months they do offer some outdoor sidewalk seating, though it looks fairly limited. It also appears they have a happy hour, though we didn't arrive in time to try it. Overall, I'd recommend checking out Steel Wheel Tavern--just be mindful of the timing of your visit, especially if you're hoping for a quieter dinner.

Our server was very pleasant and made us feel welcome right away. We went on a Sunday evening, and the back dining area was almost empty. If you're looking for a livelier vibe, the front is probably the better choice, but the back works great for something more quiet and intimate. I was craving the bolognese, but they were out that night, so we ordered the candied nut and beet salad and the pepperoni pizza with honey. Both were very good, but the salad definitely made more of a "wow" impression. Overall, we had a really pleasant time.

With over 180 wing flavors to choose from, the only problem you will have is deciding because you will want to explore this seemingly never ending list. These are a couple of the wings I explored: Peanut Butter & Jelly Wings: These wings were smothered in creamy peanut butter with a heaping mound of jelly. At first I was reluctant to explore this unusual combination, but as soon as I gave it a try, it was love at first bite. Feel free to smear or dip; the choice is yours. S'mores Wings: This is another unique, but unbelievably savory combination. These dessert style wings were smothered in marshmallow cream, drizzled with chocolate syrup, and sprinkled with crushed pieces of graham crackers. It was a sight for sore eyes. If you need additional chocolate sauce don't be afraid to ask for "s'more." And make sure you request "s'more" napkins because you will certainly need them! In addition to the wings, I also explored one of the main courses. Blue 42 Burger: Named after the restaurant, this burger is topped with mozzarella sticks, blue cheese crumble and bacon. The Blue 42 char on top of the bun has a nice decorative touch. If you are a fan of the Green Bay Packers, you have come to the right spot. The interior is decorated with Packers memorabilia, which even includes wall art on the ceiling. All fans are still welcome even if you aren't an aficionado of the Packers. The restaurant staff also supports New Jersey's finest, New Jersey's bravest, the ambulance corp, and the armed forces. I could tell the business was very busy, but I was so surprised that despite being surrounded by the "crazy" she was doing her best to suggest what she liked and then after speaking a bit, what I might like. She was very helpful and considerate despite me calling during the "lunch rush". I came into the business --- small but efficient space --- and it was a quick transaction. My kind of place. As I was eating for 1, I didn't want to be a true "big-back", new year, new resolutions. I just got a 10' Neo Margherita Pizza + Parmesan Peppercorn Bone-In Wings. So the thing that makes Grumpy's stand-out and different from the competition? Boy oh boy, that crust. It is sourdough, it is crisp, it is light, it is so complimentary to anything that goes on it. I truly understand the hype about their pizzas --- and I truly can't wait to try more from their establishment. On to the wings; I ordered the Parmesan Peppercorn Bone-In Wings, simply because it's a flavor I don't see too regularly on the menus.
