I was looking for a place to host a birthday dinner and The Craftsman delivered. Setting up the reservation was simple. Due to my party size (16), we had to have the prefix menu, which includes an appetizer, entree & dessert. Everything, from start to finish, was delicious. The restaurant is nicely decorated, making for a great atmosphere. Despite our party size, the service did not lack. We received our items in a very timely manner & never had to chase a staff member down for service. I would highly recommend The Craftsman, whether it be for a date night or a private event.
unassuming place on the outside and cute on the inside. We opted to sit in the main dining area which is where you get the nicer greenery. Spring and summer they'll have their windows open so be on the lookout if you have allergies! I loved their green juice. It was $10 but so so good and refreshing. We had their burgers and fries and I loved the sauce that came on the side of the crabby patty, it went well with fries. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. They also have valet parking or you can also park yourself in the lot across.
We decided to try this spot bc there was mention of an outdoor patio, which is what we wanted on a sunny day. We asked to sit in said patio but were seated in a covered area. It appears there was a wedding happening in the outdoor space, sooo why not tell us that?? Once we sat we noticed the table was wobbling. The hostess said someone will be over to fix it, no one ever did. The waiter, River was nice and attentive w/o being over bearing. The drinks were good and the burgers were okay. Not the best, not the worst. I'd come back to go to the bar but skip on the food. This is def geared towards people who a trendy, instagramable / influencer type vibe.
My parents and I went for brunch. The place is very cute inside and service was good. They filled up coffee and water regularly. I will say my iced coffee wasn't great. It was definitely just regular hot coffee pour over ice. Other than that food was good. My mom and I really enjoyed the eggs Benedict and my dad liked his crab cake sandwich. Next time I would probably get a different side as I am not a big fan of peppers in my potato's. Overall, a great brunch spot and seems like a good place for dinner too!
Overall this place is a solid 3.5. When you pull in it's valet parking. The place is nice ambiance inside. The service was a tad slow the day we went. We order truffle fries which were good. For entrees we ordered rigatoni vodka and cauliflower steak. I enjoy the rigatoni vodka it was saucy, creamy and flavorful. I didn't know what to expect from cauliflower steak but it was good option for vegetarian. For dessert we got the chocolate molten cake and definitely recommend getting it. It was rich in a good way and gooey yummy. The perfect level of chocolate with ice cream.
Came here for date night with my hubby and enjoyed a few drinks and food. It is a bit pricey but the food is well worth it. Had the lamb chops which were delicious even though it was only two pieces it was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Service was somewhat good we did have to wave someone down a few times .

Pictured include the Hermosa and Pineapple Express. Not pictured, but equally delicious is the espresso martini. The food offered is typical and average bar food. Good taste, but not something I would come back to visit. Our service was also inconsistent. Started off strong, then our server towards the end didn't check in. We had to ask for the bill. For a party of two, we spent around $85. Valet parking upon arrival. Overall, a place to visit for drinks and a lively atmosphere.
Went to The Craftsman for happy hour on a Tuesday. It looks like a nice spot, modern but lots of wood. Happy hour menu is available from 4pm-7pm in the bar area. We were seated at one of the booths in the bar pretty quickly, but nobody came to our table for nearly 20 minutes. Our waitress apologized for the wait, and took our order. They don't actually have a weekly cocktail special as listed on the happy hour menu, so I got a mojito and my wife got the frosé. The mojito was surprisingly solid, sweet, minty, and refreshing. The frose was very sweet and tasted like a slurpee. For food, we got the short rib flatbread, buffalo wings, fried chicken cracklins, fried calamari, bang bang shrimp, and chicken wontons. Short rib on the flatbread was tender, but there wasn't much of it on there. Five wings for $12 happy hour ain't a great deal for salty wings. The rest was OK, my favorite was the fried chicken cracklins, which was just fried chunks of boneless chicken. It's a nice spot, food is OK, and parking is easy since they have a big lot. I'd return

Their diverse menu consists of contemporary American cuisine with an Irish influence of high-quality dishes, from classic comfort foods to seasonal specialties crafted with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. They often boast an impressive selection of craft beers, wines, and cocktails. We decided on their brunch menu consisting of Short Ribs Skillet and Steak and Eggs. The service was absolutely spectacular; every staff member was kind and attentive. Our server was J(esus). The place is so new and nicely decorated inside. The food was okay. We had the grilled octopus appetizer. There was a very small amount of octopus in it although it was tastey. The brussel sprouts were delicious. The beet, feta, and candied walnut salad was goid, but oddly enough there wasn't a walnut in it. It did have some finely ground walnut in the salad, but not much. The skirt steak was average. The hamburger was delicious. I had a salad in lieu of French fries. The Sangria drink was okay but didn't have fruit in it. Our waiter was nice.

We got seated and our waitress was very kind but she looked VERY busy. Almost seemed like she was the only waitress but we did see another woman. After she introduced herself, she was zooming to another table and we weren't able to place our order with her until 20-30 minutes later which in no way is her fault but maybe the restaurant should consider not doing that to the poor girl. Once we finally got our orders in, our food and drinks came out in a decent amount of time. DRINKS ORDERED: drinks are strong!! Tequila mockingbird - this one was mine and wow it was delicious! It had a kick with tajin on the side and the taste was gingery and cucumbery. Refreshing and delightful! Frose w/ coconut base - This was DELICIOUS. I was really surprised. Almost tasted like a light pina colada. I would def reorder this! FOOD ORDERED: Signature burger - EXCELLENT. So their burgers are triple blend with 3 different types of meats. It was so juicy, tender, and truly melt in your mouth! Beef short rib - my dad described it as fall off the bone and he finished every last bite! Cajun Alfredo - I'm not really a big fan of peppers in my pasta but if you like that this is for you! The shrimp is also nice a big and juicy. Taste was pretty good. Crab stuffed Salmon - my friend got this and she said it was super moist and delicious! Very unique and she loved the bites with crab inside. Food is on the pricier side ranging from high $20s to 40. Drinks were ~$12-17 All in all we had a fabulous time! There was def a big crowd especially on a weekend night and I hope they hire more staff bc there was difficulty trying to get any staff's attention. Would I come back again? Yes for the drinks and food!
We were in the area and decided on an early dinner. The dining area is absolutely beautiful. I love the trees indoors. Valet parking is easy and free. The hostess did sit us at a smaller wobbly table but when I asked if we could move she was accommodating. The waitress was amazing and super attentive to our needs. The drinks were perfect and so was the food. We ordered a burger, a Cesar salad with steak and a crab cake, which was delicious. All in all we had a good experience. There is a DJ on the weekends and lots of people were sitting at the bar area, which also has a bunch of tables. Looks like it could be a whole vibe.
My niece was celebrating a milestone birthday and decided to have her dinner at The Craftsman. If you're familiar with Fair Lawn this used to be Rivera's (They did a really nice job with the renovations). There is complimentary valet parking on site which was nice and they're really speedy. We decided to have a cocktail at the bar while waiting for the entire dinner party and the bartenders aka mixologists were really friendly and made wonderful cocktails! Since our party was over 13 we had a prefix menu which was actually one of the best prefix menus I've seen. Lots of great options for both appetizers and entrees all of which were amazing! And the portion sizes were substantial too. All in all a really nice time - we may come back to try out brunch :) read more

I reserved a lunch spot here for Saturday noon. Upon arrival we were taken to our table right away. I was mesmerized by the stunning interior of the restaurant. The closed outdoor had the beautiful leafy decor hanging from the ceiling. The sitting area inside also had rustic wooden furnishing alongside a big bar. The menu had lots of good appetizers, burgers, salad and entrees. We started with the delicious calamari plate. Unlike other places, this dish wasn't plain, they had some cucumber and greens with it too. I got the crabby patty for entree. It was a good burger with moist soft crab cake patty. The short rib skillet was also an excellent dish. Really well flavor steak, eggs were nicely cooked. We also got the berry waffle that was fluffy and sweet, with strawberry, blueberry and whipped cream on top. We all liked all the dishes we had The service was nice. Our server was mostly on top of everything despite serving multiple tables. Other staff members were also assisting with cleaning out empty plates. Garden and flowery decor inside the restaurant. Unique and beautiful for the dining area. Food is great. Love the calamari. The lemony dressing on top with light salad go very well with the calamari. I also had steak and egg. They were cooked beautifully. Flavorful. I wish the portion is bigger. Service is great. Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious seating. Bathroom is clean. Two stars perfectly described the experience. We had come at the perfect time after Spain had won the World Cup. The restaurant was empty and we were seated quickly. I felt like I was begging for service the entire time and was rarely checked up on. I ordered the NY strip steak but weather I wanted it rare, medium or well done was a mystery because she didn't ask. It was chewy and not worth $50 dollars. I decided to try the cold pressed juices but I'm not a big fan of ginger. The server told me "it's not a lot of ginger at all", I was deceived, and the first sip I had my throat burning like I drank a bloody marry and not a good one. The tacos were good and the fries as well. We ordered some waters to start and one came with what looked like old food or something that wasn't water. She didn't seem to care and went to change it but when she came back the cup had dirty water and pieces of debris in it still. We had ordered a burger to go for our family member and they brought it out in the middle of our meal on a plate. We thought it wasn't our food and the server handed it to a random table instead of asking the kitchen if it was a mistake. All of this only to have the server return and tell us that we "declined the food" as if it didn't come out incorrectly to begin with. we were a little bit stretched for time and this delayed us another 20 minutes as they had to remake the order once they realize their error but definitely felt like we were being blamed for our order being incorrectly fulfilled. All to respect if we order something to go it should be in a to go box and bag. This place is a bit of a mess and it wasn't like that when they first opened, it's definitely sad to see a place go downhill like that. read more
Love the craftsman! Food & drinks never disappoints even when they are super busy! They have a great happy hour options for different days of the week. Love the vibe of the restaurant & they offer free valet when it's peak dinner hours. Highly recommend coming for their happy hours especially for ladies night - their martinis are always my go too especially the lychee one! read more
Met up with a friend for Happy Hour on a Friday evening. When she got there, it was pretty packed, but she was able to find us bar seating. I had the lemon drop martini ($9 - HH price) and the shot rib flatbread. The lemon drop was yummy and with the right amount of alcohol. The short rib flatbread was really good as well. Came here on a Wednesday night and wasn't crowded at all. Interior decor was really cute that kind of reminds you of being outdoors, but still inside. We got there right before happy hour ended so we ended up ordering two appetizers (not pictured). One was the chicken crackling and the other was the shishito peppers. Chicken was alright, pretty basic fried chicken with a garlic-lime aioli sauce. The shishito peppers were surprisingly really good! We thought it was going to be TOO hot, but that wasn't the case at all and we ended up liking that much more than the chicken! We all ended up ordering a signature burger, skirt steak, and the beef short ribs. I got the short ribs, which were just meh.. a good amount of short ribs that did fall apart just right. This was served on a bed of mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Food was warm at best- so this could've probably been a better dish if it was actually hot when served. Sauce on the short ribs was pretty basic and bland, which I guess was fine for a place like this. TBH, I was iffy about ordering any kind of meat dish from a place that looked like your typical in-town bar scene. We also ordered sweet potato fries to share, which were probably my favorite dish, along with the pepper appetizer. This wouldn't be a repeat restaurant for me, but I wouldn't oppose coming here if I was in the area again. I did like that they have different event nights so this might be more fun. read more
Had dinner here with my sister last night. Valet parking. The decor and ambiance inside are very nice. Our waitress was informative and attentive. Waters were refilled. I had the red sangria and it was tasty. My sister had the white sangria and said it was strong. I had the beet salad to start and it was incredible. I followed that up with fries and a well done burger on a gluten free bun. The burger was cooked perfectly to my liking and the fries were delicious. My sister had the Thai chili wings which were very good. We will be back! read more

Yesterday I attended a fabulous event at this wonderful establishment and I can't wait to come back! It was a drag brunch in honor of Mother's Day. The restaurant and the entertainment were both awesome. I will review the event separately. The restaurant was beautifully decorated. The valet service was great. But the food was the best part. For the event it was served buffet style and the offerings were a wonderful brunch selection. The food lineup included fruit salad, garden salad, home fries, sausage links, ham, fried cauliflower, scrambled eggs, steak, Belgian, waffles with fruit, shrimp and grits and pasta with vodka sauce. The restaurant staff was also very warm, friendly and professional. read more
I've been to the Craftsman a handful of times and have never had an issue! They decorate the outdoor dining each season and front entry way to be so cute. The food is consistently good. This time I went with a group of 15 for a birthday day. They offered a pre-fixe menu for $65 per person which ended up being SO helpful. We each got an app, meal and dessert. All we had to figure out were the drinks on the bill which made things so easy! The staff was super attentive and even came out with sparklers and bubbles for the birthday girl. I had the beet/goat cheese arugula salad, the steak and cookie skillet. So happy with my choices! read more

Had a great time at the craftsman on Father's Day. Everyone was amazing we entered this place and was instantly greeted with complementary champagne and cigars. We stopped by for dinner 2 days ago. Never heard of this restaurants n had good reviews on google ( but not yelp) so thought we'd try. Nice clean restaurant w Valet parking. Friendly welcoming staff. We tried the Caesar salad, arugula n beets n Italian burrata. Was delicious n generous portions. Enjoyed all 3 of them. For entrees had the pan roasted branzino, Cajun Alfredo and rigatoni ala vodka. The branzino was amazing. Crispy w tasty cauliflower puree, garlic broccolini and tomato / olive salad. Am not a fan of olives n forgot to ask them to remove it but it tasted good. The plate was cleaned not a morsel left. Cajun Alfredo was spicy n yummy. Generous amount of shrimp. Rigatoni was good too. Generous portions n we had LO's to bring home. We also wanted to save room for desert as they looked good too. We tried the sweet flight- tasting trio. The tiramisu was heavenly. Yum yum. And the raspberry cheese cake was good. Saved the apple crumb cake for our son who loves it. He enjoyed it. And didn't bother to share w us. Thank you for a great meal. Will certainly come back again read more

The place was nice, their outdoor area is renovated and cozy. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, we had a party of 9 and she made sure we were all taken care of at all times. We got some appetizers but the one that I recommend out of all is the calamari, it has a great sauce that gives a hint of asian style dressing! I got their burrata salad and added grilled chicken on top - the salad itself was great but the chicken was somewhat rubbery so I wasn't fond of that. My boyfriend and I came to the Craftsman one Saturday night when we were in the mood to try a new restaurant. The place itself is very nice inside and the staff were all very friendly to us. Our waitress was great - very friendly and welcoming. The cocktails were delicious. You can tell some thought was actually put into them and it wasn't all juice or watered down liquor. They had a great taste and a great presentation. As far as the food goes, we really enjoyed our meal. We started with the short rib tacos which were very flavorful and very tender. I honestly didn't expect them to be so good. I opted for the chicken under a brick which was a large portion and very filling. The chicken was juicy and cooked perfectly. There was a wide variety of items on the menu and definitely felt like a more elevated yet casual spot. This would be a great place to grab drinks with some friends or stop by late night to hang out. read more
