This place is the best. There is a good, very good atmosphere here. The food is very good and not expensive. The chef is a very nice and good person. And the service is irreplaceable You can have a very good time with them :) I love this place and I will definitely come back here again and again! I have to try every soup here because I've already eaten two and they were irreplaceable

5 stars for the wiener schnitzel from the Oktoberfest menu offered in Sep & Oct, $23 for a thin perfectly fried pork cutlet accompanied by an equally perfectly fried potato pancake with apple sauce and sour cream, matched with a draft hefeweizen this was heaven. Also tried the knackwurst and bratwurst platter, loved the warm potato salad dressed with broth and a hint of vinegar but the red cabbage was dried out argh. The smoke wafting thru the parking lot and patio convinced us to try the Memphis-style bbq pork, just $6 for a fantastic sandwich with a side of coleslaw. So even when there's no German food you'll do fine here. Six taps (Guinness Blue Moon Stella Yuengling Coors light and Weihenstephan) plus full bar. This is a low-key place for locals, offers an early bird menu, low noise perfect for adult conversation, slow service tho better be patient. I'm definitely a fan.

I've only been there once. Their fried flounder was good. It was a nice portion. I may decide to go back. I haven't decided.

Stepped in and was greeted by the nicest lady who immediately offered me a sip of their "uptown" drink - a mix of iced tea and lemonade. It was quite tasty. That was just the beginning of the warmth that this establishment exuded, they were super nice and friendly. They asked my name, but I forgot to ask theirs. As I waited for my food, she began bringing me samples of the sides and desserts. She had me sample the banana pudding (she asked first if I ate bananas) - this was super flavorful of banana, as another review said, not just vanilla pudding with some sliced bananas in it. Beyond that, she brought me a little piece of frosted banana bread, a dense, rich flavorful lemony cake, and a frosted pound cake. The lemony one was my favorite. Next came a bit of sweet potatoes, with huge flavor that I haven't really experienced before in a dish like this. She also let me try the mac and cheese (great spices in it!) and collard greens (tastes just how you expect!), as well as one of their "French fries" which is a round slice of potato, really good and so much more interesting than normal fries. She brought this out with her rib sauce to taste/dip, which was also good. She also had some great conversation about boxing and bringing the neighborhood together. When I got my food, it was bursting out of the takeout container and she had to use a rubber band to keep it closed. The cutlery set came with A dumdum lollipop and a piece of bubble gum as well. I ordered: 2 piece fried chicken - leg and thigh with mac and cheese and collard greens and cornbreak. They also added a few fries in, coleslaw, and hot sauce. The chicken was tasty, but the pieces were huge! The cornbread was dense and sweet, delicious. The coleslaw was super creamy. I'll be back and I'd encourage anyone nearby to check it out.

Probably everyone in my family's favorite place for wings. Huge pieces with a large choice of seasoning rubs or sauces. BBQ'd ribs are so tasty & fall off the bone. AND some of the best cornbread I've every had ( including the southern states I visit.) I love cornbread and this is moist ( not crumbly or dry). Prices are fair and I've seen their wings on many "Best of" lists. You have to try it next time you want wings or ribs. Just don't forget the cornbread.

In addition to chicken, they serve BBQ ribs, burgers, sandwiches, paninis, and wraps. They also have the classic comfort food sides like mac & cheese and cornbread. The interior is similar to a fast food take-out restaurant, but don't be fooled. They cook everything fresh on the spot using non-processed meat. Even their sauces are produced in small batches based on demand. Trust me, you'll be able to smell all of that deliciousness once you walk in. We were greeted by a friendly employee who gave us some recommendations on wing sauces. We ordered the Wing Sampler (~$22 for 15 pieces), fries (~$5), and cornbread (~$3). For our wings, we were able to choose up to 3 sauces. I was a bit disappointed that they don't offer any dry rubs, only wet marinades... dry rub or bust. We went with the Original Mild House Sauce, Sweet Thai, and Jerk Seasoning. The wings were huge, meaty, and tender! All of the sauces were delicious, but my favorite was the Sweet Thai. The jerk sauce had the right blend of ingredients, giving you that kick of heat and flavor. They went a bit heavier on the breading than what I prefer. I prefer no breading with a crunchy skin. The french fries were crispy. The corn bread was sweet and moist. We would return to try more wing flavors!

We left Fogo de Chão at Garden State Plaza extremely disappointed…read more Upon being seated, we were quickly steered toward the Full Churrasco ($74/person) experience, which is advertised as including premium cuts such as Picanha, Bone-In Ribeye, Lamb Chops, Filet, and more. Unfortunately, the reality did not match the marketing. Instead of being offered these premium selections, we were repeatedly served chicken and lower-cost meats, which filled us up long before we had a chance to try many of the cuts prominently featured on the menu. To make matters worse, when one of the premium cuts finally came around, my wife became full and saved a portion to take home. We were then told by the manager that we could not take it to go because they consider themselves a "buffet-style restaurant." This was surprising, as nowhere during the ordering process was this clearly explained, nor is that the dining experience they promote. We paid $74 per person expecting to enjoy the meats advertised and reasonably assumed that any uneaten portion of food we had already been served could be taken home. The manager repeatedly stated that it was their policy and even acknowledged that the food would be thrown away rather than allowing us to take home what we had paid for. That was frustrating and wasteful. The service only added to the disappointment. Our waitress lacked personality, provided very little explanation of how the dining experience worked, and failed to mention the no-takeout policy before encouraging us to order the most expensive option on the menu. Had these policies and limitations been clearly communicated upfront, our expectations would have been very different. For the price charged, the experience felt misleading, the service was poor, and the value simply wasn't there. We will not be returning.

I was excited to check out this local sports bar in Lodi after seeing all of the positive reviews…read more Honestly, it was a little underwhelming for me. Maybe I just ordered the "wrong things". Either way, my experience didn't live up to the hype. I visited on a late Saturday night. There's a parking lot behind the restaurant. The entrance can be tricky to find... It's located in the back on the left-hand side. The exterior and interior are both pretty dark, dull, and dingy. It's not the most inviting atmosphere at first. It has a divey, industrial, and rustic vibe to it, but hey... sometimes the best food comes from places that don't look like much. So I try not to judge. It wasn't too busy, and the service was attentive. The menu has your classic American comfort food - wings, pizza, burgers, sandwiches, etc. They switch it up with daily specials like skirt steak, chicken parm, and pasta. They have a full bar with cocktails, drafts, bottled beers, can ciders, and wines. You can even do a four-beer flight and make it a tasting experience! I ordered: *Dark & Stormy Cocktail [Goslings Dark Rum, Ginger Beer, Lime Juice] ($14) - Not the best one I've had, but it was solid. If you like ginger and rum, this is a must try. The dark rum has hints of caramel which works really well with the spicy ginger beer. The lime juice adds a citrus kick, so it's a really refreshing drink. *Margarita ($18) - As a tequila girly, I've had my fair share of margaritas. This one didn't do it for me. It was a little too sour/tart, which overpowered everything else. *Cubano Sandwich [includes roast pork, black forest ham, swiss cheese, pickles, mayo, and mustard with side of fries] ($16) - I wasn't expecting an authentic Cubano from an American sports bar, so my expectations weren't super high. This was good, but not great. The pork was flavorful, but could've been more tender. I wish there were more pickles and mayo for that extra tangy crunch. The bread was pressed a little too hard, so it was a bit tough to bite through. *Double Blackened Chicken Breast Sandwich [includes pepper jack cheese, chipotle mayo, red peppers, and red onion on brioche with side of fries] ($18) - This was huge and filling! They did not skimp out on the protein. The brioche bun was soft and buttery. The chicken was well seasoned - smoky and savory with crispy charred edges. BUT... to my disappointment, the inside was dry and not juicy at all. Another small issue was the ratio - There was so much chicken compared to the rest of the toppings, so it wasn't the most cohesive sandwich. It really needed more cheese and chipotle mayo to tie all the flavors together. The fries were the best part - thick, crispy, and golden! It's decent bar food, just not the best I've had. Nothing was bad, but nothing was great or memorable. For the price, I didn't feel it was worth it. I do appreciate that their food is served piping hot and fresh. To be fair, this is probably the perfect spot for beer lovers. I happen to not be one, lol. The burger options sound popular and promising too. I'd consider giving them another shot for Happy Hour or to try a burger, but it's not at the top of my list. Just because it's not the sports bar for me, doesn't mean it won't be the one for you.

Chicken Bacon Ranch Piadina: This sandwich was packed with chunks of chicken and chopped bacon (obviously, based on the name of this menu item) and was served on a crispy Parmesan wrap. The ranch was not smothered onto the sandwich, but was served on the side. I feel this was a better alternative because the dressing absorbs into the sandwich which compromises the texture. The presentation of the sandwich could have been better; it needed to be aligned more symmetrically. Salted Caramel Pizookie: This dessert is a variation from an original chocolate chip cookie Pizookie. Toffee, pretzel bites, and white & dark chocolate chip morsels were mixed into the warm caramel cookie. The confection was topped with a single scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. I enjoyed it down to the last bite and craved more. Upon ordering, I did not realize only miniature pizookies are included with this weekday special, hence the name of the ad, "Pizookie Meal Deal." I found out after the fact I could have substituted a regular sized Pizookie for a $4 up charge. (Had I known, I would have upgraded in a heartbeat.) The meal was decent for the most part, but the service was outstanding. Bartender Enrique was very attentive. He kept my water glass filled. When I requested a doggie bag, he also brought me a separate cup of ranch sauce for the leftovers. Enrique was conversational and it was a pleasure being served by him. #bjsbrewhouse #pizookie #minipizookie #saltedcaramelpizookie
