My wife ordered the Stew Mashed Eggplant with white rice and white beans (I reckon she likes all-white things). I got me Oxtail, Pigeon Peas rice. The service was excellent, out server was Mary, she handled our orders like a pro, super friendly and very helpful. Aridia another staff member, was also very nice and amiable. For drinks my wife had a Country Club Merengue (Cola Champagne) soda and I had a thick, delicious Morir Soñando (Orange Creamsicle). So far Costambar is the best Dominican joint in Paterson. We loved it!

Instead of taking accountability of their mistake they were unhelpful, demanding unnecessary additional documentation and accusing us of being untruthful.

After taking pictures we google places to eat nearby, and this is how we found this Dominican restaurant. As soon as we stepped in we got a whiff of tasty Dominican cuisine. The owner Dario & chef Ismael. We recognized each other, what a small world. We ordered Chicken soup, Sancocho (a hearty Dominican soup) & Fried Chicken Crackling with Red bean Moro (mixed red beans and rice) to go. Ismael did a superb job cooking and the owner Dario is very amiable! They do deliveries.

I decided on their lunch special consisting of chivo guisado (Dominican braised goat) with white rice, red beans, and a small salad for takeout. The food was still hot, and the goat flavor was amazing--earthy and intense with a kick and just plain old lip-smacking delicious. However, the rice and beans didn't have any taste.
