A must stop whenever I'm in Jersey. The owners are the nicest people and their customer service is excellent. Such a well-run establishment and the food is amazing. I've tried a variety of their sandwiches but the Soprano and anything with eggplant are my go-tos. The Brooklyn - panini style is so damn good. Their eggplant is thin and perfectly crispy and I love how they press the fresh semolina bread for the panini. You can taste the quality in their ingredients and the care they put into each sandwich. I'm having a serious craving just writing this review. Highly recommend Nick's, give em a visit.

Stopped in for lunch on our way to a nearby hotel and it was fantastic. Carlos is incredible! He took the time to explain the entire menu, make a ton of suggestions, and continuously checked on us throughout the meal. We both went with the Soprano after he suggested it as his favorite. It was so delicious and the portion was perfect. The mozzarella paired with the balsamic and peppers was delicious. Yes, they charge some annoying fees for cards like other comments suggest but that's becoming pretty common. I wish they had more normal soda to choose from in the coolers since it was mostly specialty sodas. The dining room was spotless and they were constantly cleaning the prep areas as well. I'm shocked we were the only ones in here at noon. Give this place a shot!

Absolutely a hidden gem in Saddle Brook, NJ. Very good sandwiches with a wide variation of choices. They even have signature sandwiches to choose from. Service was great, the staff was very helpful in making me make up my mind on what sandwich to get. Definitely know their products. Don't be fool by the small a lot, great spot to come in and sit down to eat your sandwiches. I highly recommend the spot. You can order ahead and just drop in.

Second time coming to this shop! First time I had the Gambino which is my favorite sandwich so far even though they are all incredible. You will not be disappointed with whichever you pick. Ask for the garlic house aioli and the house pesto aioli sauce compliment the sandwiches if you like sauces. Always friendly and knowledgeable service counter and that's why you should always support local businesses.

I stumbled upon this shop while I was in town for work and I'm so glad that I did (but also so sad that I don't live closer!) Nick's reminded me so much of my old high school sub shop hangout from my youth, complete with a group of teens/tweens hanging out and sharing some sandwiches. I didn't know what to get, but was steered toward the Brooklyn by the super friendly staff and I'm happy to pass along that recommendation. The eggplant was perfectly seasoned and crisp. The fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers, and balsamic vinegar were a fantastic combination. If there is the slightest chance that I will be in the area again, I will make a special trip to get this sandwich again.

The fries are steak fries, which I don't typically love but it worked well as a vehicle for the pastrami. The corned beef is a bit dry. We had some pierogies but these were superrrr oily. We also ordered a matzoh ball soup because I've never had it before. But the second I saw them microwave it in a plastic container, I knew I had made a mistake. It was basically just a matzoh ball in very salty chicken bouillon water. I'm sad that was my first matzoh ball soup experience but am not deterred from finding a real one elsewhere. Based on my previous visit and this one, it seems like you should just stick to a classic pastrami sandwich. It's big enough to share between two people. Next time, I'd like to dine in and eat it fresh. The sandwiches also come with a bunch of pickles, which was nice. Tip #1 - there is a parking lot but because there are so many stores and it's next to Bratek Deli, it's a nightmare. It did also happen to be Good Friday, so maybe that made it worse? I don't remember it being that bad the first time around. Tip #2 - I called ahead to place my order but still had to wait 15 minutes extra after the quoted time. They prioritize walk-in customers, so you might as well just order in store.

Nestled in an old world-like, half Sicilian half Albanian neighborhood, right across from the Catholic Church of Our Lady of Montevergine, the entire experience took us pleasantly back in time ... salumeria along the wall, aged provolone hanging from rope, and just about every handmade delicacy you could imagine.....and some new ones we hadn't seen before... Then there's .... the bread..... the bread.... Nowhere in America is there bread like this. This is the real deal (NOT the chain supermarkets--you know who you are) that offer supposedly "Italian" or "French" bread with marshmallow softness attributed to all the preservatives and polysorbate 80. No Signore, this bread contains all the goodness of that crispy crunchy exterior with pure angelic cloud interior that melts in your mouth! Bread this good can be eaten as dessert... (if there aren't any cannolis around).... Yeah they got those here too... We couldn't decide, and we were running late so we ended up grabbing a loaf of semolina bread just in from the oven and a container of Sicilian olives (with pits! Don't waste my time with pitted olives that taste like salted cardboard). Could say more but why? Veni e guarda (look and see for yourself)... Highly recommended. We'll be back! Ce' vediamo dopo.

Seating is first-come, first-served, and guests are placed based on availability, which keeps things fair and efficient even during busy times. The tables for two are intimate and cozy, perfect for conversation, though they can become a bit tight when ordering several dishes at once. That said, the staff was attentive and checked in often enough to clear plates and make room, which made the experience much more comfortable. The dessert menu is separate, allowing guests to enjoy their meal at an unhurried pace before deciding on something sweet. Their beverage offerings are thoughtfully presented. Herbal tea options include green tea, chamomile, and English tea (Stash), and the tea is served in a container that provides two full servings. The cappuccino is well made and served with a sugar crystal stick, adding a distinct old-world charm that enhances the café's European feel. I regret not asking for an additional order of Turkish coffee so that's a regret . What we ordered: * Greek Salad - $18.50 * Cappuccino - $6.80 * Herbal Tea - $6.00 * Uštipci - $17.25 * Musaka - $22.95 * Šnicla (Cutlet Sandwich) - $20.75 * 2 Diet Cokes - $8.00 The musaka is a baked dish and does take about 25 minutes to prepare, as it's made fresh with baked eggs, seasoned beef, and sliced potatoes layered on top. The wait is well worth it, resulting in a hearty, comforting dish that tastes authentically homemade. The Šnicla (cutlet sandwich) arrived beautifully presented on a wooden board, adding a rustic, elevated touch that matched the restaurant's aesthetic. Mom felt it lacked in seasoning but she Didnt leave any crumbs . The Uštipci were a standout--served with feta and honey, generously portioned, and so plentiful that we happily took some home. We were too full for dessert this time, but it's absolutely on the list for a return visit. Due to winter weather, we couldn't explore the back of the restaurant, but even from the main dining area, the decor is undeniably charming and full of character. Overall, Cafe Bubamara offers authentic flavors, generous portions, attentive service, and a cozy, old-world atmosphere that makes it a place worth revisiting.
