So the ambiance is great! The food is also really good with generous portions, the service however was a bit lacking. Definitely slow and took long to take or order plus deliver our order. The restaurant itself was not that busy so not sure why the delays.

Came here for my birthday with family. Valet parking. I had reservations ahead of time and they sat us right away. I had a couple of drinks including a strawberry pina colada IN A PINEAPPLE, chips and guacamole were good and for dinner I got the mar y mar with tostones and white rice which were spectacular. They also had live music and karaoke and they did a birthday celebration for me which I loved. Great location!

When in the area and looking for a good meal with a good vibe. This spot is always the go to. Always so reliable. Has a great party vibe! Come for special occasions! I love all of their chicken dishes. Tried most of them and every time I come I have a hard time choosing. Grilled chicken is pretty thin but has a great grilled taste. The ensalada de pollo, pollo salteado, or the pechuga a la colombiana are top three favorite. The sauce of the pechuga a la columbiana is amazing! The beans are delicious. Can never go wrong. Love their bakery items as well. Variety of drinks ! Good for groups. Servers are nice and bilingual. My favorite Noches de Columbia location.

This location is big with free valet parking. We sat at the bar and the Costa Rican bartender was a delight attentive and super friendly (which is becoming more rare these days) I went on a Wednesday night and they had Karaoke (loved the song selection) plenty of space ambiance clean. The food was alright small arepas and the calamari was too spicy and too crispy.

Noches de Colombia en Little Ferry Pictured is the Pechuga a La Colombiana with plátano maduros and yuca fries. Also maracuya for the drink. The food was delicious. Sauce was creamy and in plethora so every bite was yummy, chicken breast was massive so it did fill me up very quickly. The yuca fries were mid, I have had better in tiene visit/locations. The mushroom sauce was delightful to combine with the sides as well. The maracuya was sour which I've never had like before. If that's how they normally are here, then I don't recommend. I've only ever had sweet maracuya so maybe I didn't order with sugar, but it was sour. Service was good. A lot of servers were around to take us to our table and get our order done quickly. Very family friendly vibe in the restaurant with lots of different tv options. They have fun events on weekends like karaoke night. Likelihood I go back is very high. Food was a bit pricey than I was expecting but the plates are pretty big. Service was efficient and valet parking was nice!

One of the best Columbian spots in all of NJ , at this location food is appetizing and fresh! There is a bakery in house as well. Typical authentic Columbian fare , with excellent bar options including half and full pitchers. My fav is always the bandaja paisa! Highly recommend for birthday celebrations! Service is very welcoming! Nice music to add to the ambiance.

We stopped here for lunch with a large party, and everything went pretty smoothly. With no reservation, we were seated within almost a minute. The atmosphere was definitely a big takeaway, very clean, and appealing to look at with neon lights and decorations. As we sat, we noticed our table was kind of cramped and tight, making it hard to not only move around, but with our table not wide enough, plates almost started to get on top of each other. It was a bit of a turnoff, but we managed it just fine. Having it a bit wider would help significantly. With that, our waitress along with a trainer waiter helped us and did a wonderful job serving. The foods we got tasted very well and had no issues. I personally ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich with loads of flavor and was top-notch. It was messy, yes, but still worth it. I'd make this stop again in the future. Note - They offer valet parking, which caught me by surprise.

Came here for a New Year's day meal. Again I feel like this is the best Noches location. Very spacious and the staff amazing. Food comes out quickly and the portions always enormous. Always bringing leftovers home. Today we had the pollo colombiana which is grilled chicken and creamy mushroom sauce, the grilled fish with garlic butter sauce, a kids breaded chicken with fries, the tostones sampler with all kinds of meats on them and you cant forget the beef empanadas... always a MUST. We also got a coconut margarita pitcher and it was delicious, not too sweet and not too strong. For dessert we ordered the birthday tres leches for my sis in law and they came out with a huge show! Loud birthday music, sparklers! Birthday sign! I loved it! Maybe not so much the bday girl bc she was embarrassed but i thought it was great! They renovated the front area to be a small tiki lounge which was super cute! Looks like they serve hookah too. Ill check it out one day when we arent with the kids!

This place is awesome all around, menu is comprehensive and there's something for everyone. The food was delicious and well seasoned, service was superb and our waitress Paola was extremely nice and attentive. Food came out quickly and was flavorful, and authentic. Ambiance was on point, happy, and relaxing, just a great to hang out with family and friends. Definitely recommend it and will come back! Delicious

    Sauces

What a disgrace! $115 for a small tray of dried out meat and bones with no meat on them. ( supposed to feed 8 people) Oh yeah -that includes a small soup and 3 dipping sauces. This is the first time we ordered take out there. - never again Dining in is a better experience, nice atmosphere and good specialty drinks. Except on Sunday night when they have karaoke, the mc shouts into the microphone and blast the music at high decibels. You cannot enjoy the food or drink because the table is actually vibrating! The waiter or waitress service was just ok ( not very attentive) Haven't dined in there in over a year, I hope things have changed.

Anyway, came here on a weekday afternoon and wasn't busy at all- that's not to say that the food/bakery wasn't good. It was AMAZING. I got the lunch special which was chicken soup with breaded filet, salad and rice for $12.99. WHAT! And that portion was BIG as you can see from the pictures. Our server was attentive and got us whatever we needed almost right away! My breaded filet came out delicious. Perfect amount of crispy where it's not overdone and it wasn't drenched in any sauce that made the filet soggy. The house salad was simple yet flavorful and that chicken noodle soup was SO hearty that I wanted to go in the kitchen and scoop myself more. The place is big and bright and clean. Bakery on one side of the restaurant for quick take out and restaurant to the right. There's street parking but there's also parking in the back where the giant farmer market is, but it can be a busy lot. I came back here again with my husband another day and had another lunch special which was grilled chicken with mushroom sauce and my husband had a 16oz churrasco, all cooked to perfection. We got some bakery goods to go and we can't wait to have them later. Highly recommend this place!!

We ordered the mini tipica (grilled steak, pork rind, rice, beans, fried egg, sweet plantain and avocado, chorizo) and it was fair; the steak was too chewy but everything else was fine. It didn't feel like an $18 meal though and definitely have had better. Seems like a pretty casual atmosphere inside. There's an additional credit card charge so pay cash to save that 3%.

A Concerned Review of Pollos Mario…read more For years, my spouse and I have been loyal customers of Pollos Mario in Hackensack, NJ. We have enjoyed many meals here, from breakfast to lunch and dinner, supporting this establishment through economic ups and downs, a pandemic, and an influx of competition on Main Street. As one of the original Colombian restaurants in Hackensack, we have always hoped for the best for them, but recent experiences have left us concerned. While the food remains fresh and flavorful, Pollos Mario is no longer the only player in the game. With eight Colombian restaurants now within walking distance, the landscape has changed significantly. Recently, we found ourselves paying $32 for breakfast, which feels exorbitant. Reflecting on our past visits, it's evident that the portion sizes have shrunk considerably since pre-pandemic times. The arepa con queso, which used to cover the plate, now barely touches the edges. Both my spouse and I ordered Huevos Revueltos, priced at $13.90 each, which included scrambled eggs, a homemade potato, and corn cake with cheese. My spouse enjoyed a hot chocolate or coffee with their meal, while I was charged separately for my Aguapanela con Limón, a sugarcane lime drink that, upon receiving the bill, we discovered was not included with the breakfast and added an unexpected $5 charge for a tiny glass. This feels disproportionate for what is essentially a simple beverage. I understand that economic uncertainty is impacting many businesses, and restaurants need to find ways to stay afloat. However, the experience cannot come at the cost of customer satisfaction. It's disheartening that we now visit Pollos Mario only once or twice a month, down from two or three times a week. Price increases, smaller portions, and additional charges are not conducive to fostering loyalty among customers. I hope the owners take this feedback into consideration. We all want to see Pollos Mario thrive, but it's important to create an enjoyable experience without pricing customers out.
