The bolon mixto and the empanada de verde are really good here! Prices are good for the serving size and the service was great. Would definitely come back here again! El bolon mixto y la empanada verde son buenos aquí. Los precios son buenos para el tamaño de las porciones y el servicio fue excelente. ¡Sin duda volvería aquí otra vez!

Very busy spot, nice staff, slow to bring food out but food is definitely worth the wait. Enjoyed both dishes. Tip was included in bill.

10/25/23 Went back to get the Encebollado de Pescado (Ceviche) Tuna fish soup with pickled onions - I tried this only a couple of other times from different restaurants and this was very good! 2nd best :D Maduro Frito con Queso - hubby is obsessed with this! He's had it from Maywood market but never freshly made. Muchines Mixtos (Carne y Queso) - like potato balls but with yucca, hubby loved them. It was meh for me.

Sopa de Bolas has great taste! My only complaint is the meat has way too much fatty and make soup very oily. I have a trick, maybe cook could trim fat off meat pieces, before cooking soup, or put parts of soup in freezer and take off frozen fat part off the top of frozen soup. Will def go back to try more of my Ecuadorian dishes in near September 2023 update, 6 months later and soup taste good, but way to fatty. See more photos.

    Morrocho and Bolon Mixto

Ecuadorian here ‍ Cons: messed up my order a bit. Wish I got to taste the empanada de carne Pros: The bolon mixto, the morrocho, the empanadas de pollo and the ones de queso were bomb. La sopa de gallina and el sancocho de carne all tasted exactly how I remembered them being growing up. The quality of food is amazing and worth every dollar. Try to pick it up to go or eat it at the restaurant as the delivery fee is a tad high. Wish I had taken more pictures but was WFH and hungry.

Good food .. love the quick service too. Parking is a bit of a problem .. if u get a good parking , u r set for some good food :) price is also not extravagant... very nominal. My friend who is a local said this is very very close to the food in their country . Very authentic food And taste ..

Ecuadorian dish. Potato stuffed with cheese and topped with peanut butter. So good!

    Excelente desayuno y buena atención

delicioso desayuno y una excelente atención venga y deleite con su familia estos típicos platos ecuatorianos no se arrepentirán

Caldo de bola , part of Tuesday lunch special. Really tasty.

Not a huge fan of Ecuadorian food but they have some decent dishes. Here they have all the authentic Ecuadorian dishes. Their lunch specials are a good price for the amount they serve. I think that's the best thing about the place. Lunch special is 8$ for a big portion. Everything else is super expensive, Ecuadorian food really isn't supposed to be that expensive or they don't really make anything super crazy unique that gives it a reason to be like 12+ a dish. I mean their mozzarella sticks here are almost 10$ for 6 of them, not even real American spots are that pricey!! I mean is this houlihans is that pricey for 6 sticks. Anyways it's not bad here , good lunch special and they are worth it, but that's basically it. Overall score: 3.7 Food: 3.6 Customer service: 3.8

This place is awesome! Such a delicious, affordable place-not to mention the cute decorations. The food is really delicious and tastes just like home cooking. Their lunch specials are SO delicious and they're just $8! I highly recommend the Friday special: Sopa de Caldo, Filete de Pescado and avena for your drink. You'll be so happy when you get the food. Everything here is awesome and I 10/10 recommend coming here for lunch or dinner.

All the menus are tablets, and you can switch between English and Spanish. Frustratingly, there was no Cuban sandwich available on the dinner menu. We got an appetizer sampler to start. Most of it was fried foods, so it was decent. For an entree, I got the fish filet in garlic sauce. The fish was tender and the sauce was flavorful. I also tried the oxtail. Some of them were tender and other pieces were quite chewy. To finish the meal, I ordered a cortadito but got a cortado instead. You'd think a Cuban restaurant would know the difference.

The parking lot was packed so I expected there to be a wait but was pleasantly surprised when our party of 5 (plus a baby!) was seated right away. The place is lively and a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. There's a stage/dance floor in the middle so I can imagine it can turn kind of clubby later in the night. Interestingly, the menus are all tablets and while really cool at first, it got annoying when a couple of our menus started to glitch. High tech but also leaves more room for failure. The service was friendly though and decently quick. We ordered a few appetizers and they came out in a reasonable amount of time. We got a sampler, croquettas, and a tamal. Everything tasted great so I had high hopes for our entrees. I went with the Mother's Day Special Relleno (stuffed) Salmon. It was a little overcooked but still really tasty. I believe it was stuffed with some crab meat and cheese. I also really liked the sauce that covered it. My dad got oxtail and it was seasoned very well but the oxtail pieces were cooked inconsistently. Some were soft and came off the bone very easily while others were tough to the point I had to use my hands to gnaw the meat off the bone. Everyone else's dishes were pretty good too. All in all La Havana 59 seems like a solid Cuban spot. I'd come back.

Best thing I tried was the queso frito with bacon and papaya jam. I'm used to it coming with guava jam/paste so this was a nice twist on the familiar appetizer. For dinner I had the camarónes enchilado which came with the white rice and maduros. Another usual plate that I always order and this one had a little bit of a spicy kick to it. Totally recommend stopping by if you're in the area. We also split the red sangria, the pitcher is a good portion, even for a party of four!

Small-ish storefront on Main Street with street parking and I'm sure some municipal lot somewhere. ( 2nd locatgion in New Milford) Friendly staff and experienced bartender. Great drinks are made here and I highly recommend the Happy Hour with great prices on food\drink. Bar area ( 9 seats) is clean & impressive, and dining room bright & cheery. Stopped in during HH and had a few drinks waiting for my To Go order. Excellent Mojito cocktail; Red Sangria was very good too A group of us all agreed; One of The Best Cuban sandwiches anywhere. Stuffed with plenty of marinated pork & ham. And served with perfect plantain chips ( freshly made, not like the jawbreakers you get elsewhere.) Best corn tamale ( topped with fried pork (chicharron) and criolla) ever. So fresh, soft and flavorful The steamed yucca bathed in garlicky mojo sauce was cooked perfectly and every bite delectable. Empanadas may be small but very flavorful; I had the oxtail and the spinach with manchego cheese. Sooo good. Can't wait to try the brie with mushroom. The only item that fell flat for me was the chicken wings tossed in Cilantro and lime mojo. Needed more cilantro & lime!!! ( it also comes in a Spicy mango habanero sauce) Dessert menu sounds really good. Looking forward to eating here again. Highly recommended.
