The restaurant has a shiny and precious food, their dishes are perfect and taste really good, I personally recommend the bandeja paisa or a lunch with pernil, the prices aren't crazy at all, people argue about it sometimes but now everything is going more expensive. First time here ordering takeout lunch for 4 people. I'm noticing a pattern in some restaurants that they don't post all of the prices for menu items! Personally, I like to know what a food item costs before I order it and I don't want to have to ask! Arrived around 11:30am and honesty, some of the food in the steam table looked like it was leftover from the day before. Not saying it was, but it looked reheated and dry. Not as many choices as I'm used to so I ordered 1 pernil lunch, 1 pollo al horno and 2 pollo guisado, along with 4 empanadas. The pollo al horno looked like it was from yesterday and I wouldn't have ordered it if I didn't have a lunch guest with a simple palate! The pollo guisado looked decent. I only tasted the pernil with white rice, black beans, and maduros. It was okay. I like the way they slice their maduros sliced the long way! The chicken empanada I had wasn't bad. I'm not running back, but it's not a place I would avoid! read more

A great Dominican restaurant! I was stopping by the bike shop across the street and gladly stopped by when my son and I saw that they had an outdoor seating. Interior is small but nicely done with cool menu wall and cafe chic vibe. We ordered carne asada plate w/ a side salad (included) and a chicken sandwich. Also ordered a smoothie. The owner threw in a large size salad for us when he saw the working lady who spoke limited English mistakenly added a large salad when I was choosing small side salad that comes with the carne asada plate. He winked at me and told her to not charge it. Very much appreciated. We enjoyed the steak very much - not too tough and very well seasoned. The chicken sandwich was not dry at all though slightly lacking in flavor. Rice and beans were delicious with the salsa they gave. We sat to the side where they had this little lot so we could people watch from a safe distance, under the umbrella shade. Server was attentive and checked on us to make sure we were good. Only downside was, well, they had this outdoor speaker (one of them with bright light woofer rings that flash and change colors) and this guy had it on rather loud. Not too bad, but wished he had chosen the music and volume a bit more tastefully to accommodate diners. He was nice though. I can see that this is a nice hidden gem - will stop by again whenever I'm in the area. read more

Well I tried to give Seba's another shot, and once again disappointed. Ordered a pork dish with beans and rice. Pork was drier than the Sahara Desert. Rice was pasty. Beans very bland and mushy. And to top it off it wasn't even lukewarm when delivered. I would not feed this slop to my dog. For $18 I honestly feel like I was robbed. That's all folks never again. I had a cake tasting at Palmero's next door and I haven't had lunch yet. So why not? Walked in and the worker there recommended me the Bendeja Paisa (I am probably spelling this wrong). That is my to go dish for any Colombian restaurant but I wasn't seeking anything that heavy. Food: I ended up ordering their chicken stew lunch with rice and beans. I kinda felt I got a lot less meat compare to the typical plate I get served at other Spanish places. Probably because I came in AFTER the lunch rush. But the dish was delicious. Price: I was charged $11 for the lunch special. Kinda on the pricey side in my opinion. Service: It wasn't a formal dining event for me. So not much comment on this. My mom has been raving about this place for at least 6 months, but I've never gotten around to trying it. I'm so glad that I stopped by today for dinner. Don't let the simple interior keep you out of this awesome restaurant. The setup is cafeteria-style with 4 kinds of meat (chicken, pork, beef, and oxtail). Each day of the week has a different special meat. Today's happened to be oxtail. The staff was very helpful and friendly in informing me what my options were. I ordered pork with brown rice and red beans. The portion I received was substantial for the $8.00 I paid. My brother got pork with white rice and white beans. One lady helpfully allowed my brother to taste the white beans before he made his choice. The red beans have an earthy taste that one could identify as something similar to chili. The white beans are more velvety. I think I'll get the white beans next time. My boyfriend got the oxtail. It was rich and delicious. Finally, at checkout the owner offered us two sauces to try. One was a homemade hot sauce that tasted like a tomato-y tabasco sauce. I could put that on anything and it would taste good! The other sauce was ketchup with mayo, and added a flavor profile to the pork that was unique and tasty. Overall a great meal! I can't get over the brown rice. It's so good! The food is delicious. However, they have GOT to get their phone presence together. Making a order for delivery is PAINFUL. I wanted two orders of polla a la plancha with fried plantains. I didn't ask for anything else. I had to talk to three people and the order took over 20 minutes and three calls. First time I call, they take my number to call me back in five minutes because she had to wait until the delivery person returns. Huh? Why?? I'm on the phone already...can't take my order now? Ok, so they do call me back in five and now she's slowly taking my order? Lunch or dinner? (mind you it's after 5pm) This woman can't understand what type of chicken dish...rice or no? Do I want the rice on the side or not, what color beans? Btw the lunch is $14.00 and the dinner a whopping $16.00! So whatever, I go for the 16 assuming I get a larger portion...might as well. By the way, trying to ask what on the earth is the difference in their lunch versus dinner is like watching grass grow. All I got was....Styrofoam versus aluminum round. More on this later. Then mid-way...after repeating my order like ten times, hoping to get off the phone with this person, hinting I am ready to pay with my credit card number...asking her a few times if she wants my credit card number (like in other words, this is taking way too long, take my damn card so we can be done with this mess), she ignores me, asks for my order again as if she is stalling and low and behold, without a warning a different person grabs the phone ....and now I am starting all over again. Seriously?? Then this second woman takes the order....sensing my frustration. Of course I am frustrated...I'm on the phone over ten minutes, and my kids are getting impatient...as am I. Still haven't paid and now you are wasting my time. So she goes you can call me back to give me the credit card info since you sound busy. WHAT? I'm like huh? Why would I do that? Yeah, I am busy, but I'm not going in for open heart surgery twice. So I answer, yes I am busy, but I have my card out, please take my payment. Had to give the cc info twice. It goes through and she hangs up without my address. Calls back ten minutes later....the delivery guy arrived, what is the address? We were on the call so long....didn't even realize she didn't have my address. Give her the address. Five minutes go by and now the delivery guy calls for my address. Like...what...they don't communicate? So I assume he is in front. So I say, you are here? Nope, not there I am leaving now. Thanks buddy for calling to say hi and let me know you are coming. Get the food...this 16 dollar dish had one chicken breast on top of rice in a barely 7 inch round. For 16 dollars, I should have enough for two meals. WOOOOW Seba's. So between the calls and three people it really was a half hour before I got my tiny lil dish. It's so unbearably frustrating to talk to people on the phone who sound so lost in the sauce. To Seba's...I recommend you drink a cup of coffee if you taking phone orders and wake up! Oooorr....hire a kid with a good phone presence who is sharper, quick and efficient. It's money left on the table when you can't take an order efficiently. This is NOT rocket science. But yelpers the food is AMAZING, you will have a better experience just picking the darn thing up, they all have their head in the clouds when they pick up the phone. Great authentic Hispanic food. They speak very little English which makes it all the better! I don't speak Spanish but I speak food and they know how to make it. Found this place by accident, and I'm so glad I did! I tried the pernil with white rice, onions, and red beans. The portion was great for the price, and the food itself was absolutely delicious. Nice colombian/dominican restaurant with a variety of colombian and Dominican food. I tried the pernil and was very good. Is located in the main street of ridgefield park a very small town. I did not give them the full 5 stars due to the service being a little un organized but it is understandable since they recently open. As a disclaimer, I don't know the owner or Am affiliated with anyone that works here. This restaurant just opened in Ridgefield Park 6 months ago across from the only other Dominican spot for miles, Sofritos. The owner told us that they used to go by Kenia's Latin Kitchen (great reviews on Yelp) and decided to change the name which is why they have few reviews here. I ordered fried tilapia with an avocado salad and my boyfriend had the roasted chicken with rice and plantains. The food was delicious and well seasoned! (I can't stand bland food and was very impressed by the food). They are new in town and are trying to get established, but I'm sure it will become a staple because they actually care about the taste of the food. I'm definitely switching this to my regular spot! The owner even offered to make any dish off menu that I may be craving! Who can top that?!? Great food, great service, and eager to meet new customers! read more

Honestly, I am very picky with my latin dishes but everything I order from Kenia's Kitchen is delicious. My all time favorite is the chicken meatballs OMG!! They are divine, they bake them with lots of seasoning and peppers. We order for lunch and/or dinner and the prices are excellent!! Give them a try, you won't regret it. read more
