    Seafood soup

Finally got a chance to try the infamous chicken and mushroom over rice.. so freaking good. The sauce takes it to another level. $18 for a huge dish that you prob can split into two sittings. Their seafood soup was very creamy and was a whole meal of itself, loaded with real seafood Give this place a try, you won't regret it.

Unfortunately we will not be back at one of our favorite places to eat as we as this kid to lower the volume in the tv in the back wall as it was so loud the me and my girlfriend started getting a headache , we ask if he could lower the volume he gave us a dirty look and did NOTHING. All he did was watch tv and his phone we got no service at all ,also an other couple ask for the check it took so long that they didn't get it until the complaint. Over all food is good here but not the attitude of this kid ummm!!! GOOD LUCK TO THE BUSINESS OWNERS.

Soo I ordered seafood soup and the mushroom chicken. Drove 25 minutes to this spot. Time I get back home, I open up my chicken plate and see just dry chicken breast no mushrooms or anytype of sauce. I paid $30 for seafood soup and piece of chicken with rice.

Seafood soup - perfect cure for winter days

In an hour we went to El Savador and back. Yes we stuck out like sore thumbs. Yes everyone was staring at us, waitresses and other guests. They all took pride in their food. We didn't really have to put out a show, we truly enjoyed our food. After seeing some of the slow service comment, I made sure to check on our orders. People were going in and out constantly with huge take out bags. The dining room was full by around 8pm. Ask for the coleslaw etc - she warned me it was spicy but I loved them! The pupusas came out nice and warm. I reminds me a lot of the Chinese pancakes but with cheese inside. The seafood soup came out piping hot. So good and comforting for a winter day. The carne asada was the highlight - the steak was seasoned just right, rice is seasoned and cooked perfectly. The whole dish just works. I also got the breakfast sandwich which basically is the carne asada inside a pancake. Will be superb for breakfast. We are coming back so you better get used to seeing us. Oh by the way it is BYOB though you have to drink from a paper cup so bring your glasses too :) and private parking lot at the back.

Drove by this place plenty of times and finally read the reviews and decided to stop by. Had the mushroom chicken everyone spoke of and it was amazing. It was light, flavorful and the salad was awesome. It wasn't spicy even a bit so next time I wouldn't mind adding some hot sauce. The restaurant is small but clean. Cool place. Would def come back to try the other dishes.

I am very surprised why this place has so many less reviews. Moved in this area a week back and had to try this place out for it being different. Beef soft tacos - average. Fresh ingredients but meat could be tender. Pupusas - this being my first time, I do not have anything to compare with. However, these were amazing. The sauce, incredibly flavorful and added a layer to the taste. A must try. Do not do take out. Sit and eat there. Use the hot sauce in the table to add soccer. Chicken in mushroom sauce - very good. Huge portion. There is no way it is got one serving. Amazing sauce, tender chicken and fresh salad. You will not go wrong with this one. I wish I knew Spanish. However, they were really helpful. Took time to understand my sign language and give me benefit of doubt. Thank you. Will return soon.

Been here more than four times and it's always amazing! Pupusas are the best around and the corn tamales are incredible. I'm not sure what they do to the cream sauce they serve them with but it's so good.

    Baleadas with everything + meat

This is one of the best Latin America restaurant we've ever been to. Not to mention the prices are also quite cheap. On the two different occasions that we were there, we tried tacos, pupusas with different fillings, baleadas, sweet tamales, chicken tamales and chicken soup and all of these were very good. My favorite is pupusas and tamales. I've never had sweet tamales before and it was just amazing. We'll definitely be back again soon!

I couldn't get pictures of anything else bc I was wayyyy to busy eating but this is the chicken in mushroom sauce.

We ordered 5 pupusas de Queso, 5 pupusas de Revueltas, sopa de pollo y arroz con tortillas. The food didn't take much long to be made and the food was very fairly priced. In all we paid $47. But remember to bring cash because they have a $5 credit card charge. My favorite is their pupusa revuelta. The pupusa de queso is missing some flavor and the cheese is bland. I'd rate the revuelta as 5/5 and the queso a 3/5. The rice wasn't too good but the chicken soup was delicious. I definitely see myself returning here.

I would definitely like to try more of the restaurants out, but on a chilly winter day I chose Tesoro, partly for the promise of "treasure" within, and partly because it just looked like it would be tasty. The place reads a bit different on the inside though, as televisions play fútbol matches on weekends and neon signs, beer cases, and an all-female waitstaff make it an obvious sports bar retreat for men on their day off. The menu is full of $10+ entrees, but we were more in the mood to sample smaller dishes and have an assortment. The pupusas were standard but well done, their cheeses oozing out of the fried cakes. The tamales, as most restaurant varieties tend to be, were lifeless and required a healthy dollop of the accompanying crema, which was also good for the fried sweet plantains.

I can tell the difference between left and right or an avenue and a street. But no one in high school or college ever told me that my broken Brooklyn Spanish is not always congruous with central American Spanish. My wife always forces me to bust out Spanish when we need it and she didn't realize why it was so hard for me to order food here. Well it turns out there are nuances, like that incredibly tasty Delish spicy cabbage slaw they call curtido in El Salvador is really a condiment for pupusas. And that another curtido encebollada exists which is interesting but not the spicy slaw that would be special to an American seeking something tasty Delish, familiar yet exotic. The slaw is curtido de repollo Para curtido btw. They make guac on the spot awesome pupusas, a really cheap and filling Carne Asada, delicious chicken tostadas only they call them enchiladas and you have to recognize that they slang it up and will say pechuga (breast) as a substitute for chicken which is pollo. Anyhow it's all really Delish, just make sure you ask for it sin tomate or sin salsa Roja. They put this ketchupy concoction on top that throws off an otherwise super tasty chicken salad on a fried tortilla! I think at this point. They've become accustomed to me though and I hope you folks give them a try. Some of the food is really rustic and rough like comida tipica kinda rough and other stuff is just incredible like the pupusas with cactus pad or flowers and cheese.
