Great food and service. Awesome rotisserie chicken, tostones, and their green sauce is amazing!

I wanted to try something new and my bf recommended this place and it is his go to spot for Peruvian food. We went on a Thursday night with a couple of people dining in. We got the jalea, half roasted chicken and rice and everything was so delicious. Highly recommend asking for the green sauce and the tomato and onion sides! It paired really well with the food. It added a element of flavor to the jalea and chicken when eaten together. The food was fantastic, the roasted chicken was surprisingly tendered and flavorful. Workers were really nice and service was fast. Overall would come back and try everything else on the menu!

The atmosphere was strong and the service was very fast. This is a local place with huge take take food. We had the hot dog app and it was really good. My dinner was great to look at and also tasted incredible.

Delicious food. Some of the best pollo alla braza that I have had in the USA! Their hucaina sauce is to die for as well. The vibes are very small town, community centered. The service is quick and efficient even when speaking a different language. The prices are also very reasonable and the portions are HUGE! Highly recommend giving Planet Chicken a try.

Over the years I loved traveling through the town to pick up some take out. Chicken, rice and a hearty plate of steak and fries, you can't go wrong. Unfortunately as the popularity grew the quality of the food has gone down. Lomo was dry, fries were barely cooked and the tostones were hockey pucks. Value of the food is okay. Two meals will run you just under $40. Make sure you call ahead during dinner hours it can take a while to place your order

This is my favorite Peruvian chicken restaurant! Why - the food is always delicious and hot, the waiters are professional, polite and respectful, the decor is pretty, and the prices are very reasonable. We always start off with the calamari appetizer (best fried calamari I have ever had), then as an entree, share one of the chicken combination platters. The chicken always comes out crispy and hot with a delicious avocado dipping sauce. The Lomo Saltado is also very good, and many other patrons order the seafood samplers. They have coffee and a variety of desserts to end the meal, and we always get the delicious Peruvian cookies. It is also great that it is BYOB. Being downtown, there is no parking lot, but we always find a space on Washington Avenue a few blocks away. Bring coins for the parking meter. The restaurant is also located close by to the Raritan Valley train line Dunellen stop, should someone care to take the train over.

Yo I would of given this place a 2-3 star if the price was reasonable. They're charging almost as much as Stancia from Linden and the food here was absolutely ridiculous. The chicken which what I thought was a safe bet since the damn name is Planet mf Chicken but no. The chicken dry af, the skin was not easy to eat. The bone had no type of grace onto the meat. There was no green sauce which is mandatory to pollo a la brasa....the chicken taste like it was oven made not rotisserie ...the fries were frozen fries. My sister got the pescado frito..almost the entire fish was hollow and the meat according to the size of the fist was a 15/100 ratio..insane. The rice that came with the fish had no flavor. My gf Ashley got the tallarin saltado de carne and that was actually decent. It was a little too sweet but it's not chifa so I get it. They did give her a decent amount of meat on her tallarin. The "nectar de manaza" was a child size apple juice you get from the bodega...what the skibbity! BROOOOO I asked for rocoto or green sauce aji for flavor...they brought me a water hot sauce after 20 minutes. I added the entire little bowl to my chicken and I didn't even get a hit of satisfaction from the spice. That is not hot sauce. It was like eating cold tomato juice. Price was crazy for this poor of food, I am disappointed this is how my country Peru is being represented to America.

Favorite Peruvian cuisine. The waiters are always so welcoming! I can say we're regulars at this restaurant as they know us already. Every dish is delicious. Cocina peruana favorita. ¡Los camareros son siempre muy acogedores! Puedo decir que somos regulares a este restaurante porque ya nos conocen. Cada plato es delicioso.

Quick and easy take out. I got the special combo. It comes w whole chicken, salad, and fries. The salad and fries are nothing to write home about, but the chicken and green sauce (ask for extra) are the real deal. I got a side of rice because who doesn't love some good chicken and rice combo? Anyway, chicken nice and juicy. Smother green sauce on everything and you'll gave a delicious meal. My husband and I had so much food (two full meal portions) from the combo, it is definitely a great deal $.

It's all about the green sauce

Peruvian Chickens look like other chickens, they walk like any other chicken... they even lay eggs.. just like other chickens.. .. But peruvian chickens for some reason, just taste better than all other chickens. Call me racist.. but I prefer to ask... Nature or Nurture.. Chicken or the egg... Whatever your philosophic bent, the peruvian green sauce is manna from the gods... This simple condiment which they serve with their bird is a religious experience. Green + Sauce = Alchemy

    Reheated fries

Planet chicken used to be great! But sadly it has declined in quality over the past years. They never chop up the vegetables properly so they're chunks of vegetables. My last time here the food tasted reheated. The fries were reheated and reused and the rice had no flavor and tasted old. They lost their integrity for their own food and it's very disappointing. I hope they try better!

It's good Peruvian food. I am Indian so my family and I felt little blend but it's not their fault. Clean restaurant.

And this is easily the best one and the one we love the most, Punto Peruano is cuter but in flavor? Doesn't come close. Literally always ask for the pollo la brasa with EXTRA sauces every birthday because it's my favorite thing to eat and it always comes out good every single time. They've moved like 3 times I think and I've followed them each time lol they are just so worth it. If you want real Peruvian food made by real Peruvian, try it! Cuz here's some tea I found out, a lot of these Peruvians places DONT even have Peruvians cooking the food???? Does not make sense and this place DOES! La Caravana is a small place right by the train station and post office. A beautiful mural of Machu Pichu inside. A handful of tables. Our food came right out. A whole roasted chicken. Fries and fried sweet plantains. Everthing was outrageously delicious. The fries were hand cut. The chicken was juicy and came with a spicy green sauce that was addictive. We took the plantains home to munch on later. A great meal for a reasonable price. Skip the supermarket and chain roast chicken. Take a drive to Plainfield.
