What a great experience . Ordered a "trio" 3 different dishes , all with its unique flavor : ceviche mixto, causa cevichada and arroz con mariscos . Perfect seasoning all fresh ingredients. Service was excellent . Ambiance welcoming and cozy .

    Lomo Saltado

Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked! Came with complimentary corn nuts and sauces. Both green and red sauces were tasty 5/5 Lomo Saltado - delicious, loved the sauce the meat was cooked in 5/5 Bistec a lo Pobre - lots of sides including fried plantains, chorizo, and fries

Lunch special $13, came with soup

Great Peruvian food! Calamari was really, really good! Big pieces and well cooked. The lunch special (the chicken dish, forgot the name) was $13 and included soup. Chicken was tender and sauce was tasty. Limo Saltado was well seasoned but could do with a bit more meat for the price. Very much recommend trying this place! Will be going back.

Out of all of them, this location has honestly been the one we've enjoyed the most and the one we keep coming back to. That said, over the past year or two, I do feel the food quality has declined a bit. I recently ordered the lomo saltado (the lower-priced option), and while the meat was flavorful and savory, there was a little too much broth, which made the fries and rice soggy. My husband ordered the tacu tacu with steak, but it felt like there were barely any beans in it. For the kids, we ordered salchipapa. They enjoyed it, but I was expecting the hot dogs to have a little more crisp instead of being soft. What keeps us coming back is the experience here. The restaurant is always clean, organized, and has a really nice ambiance. The staff is attentive, service is quick, and we rarely have to wait or follow up on anything. Their ají verde is still really good too. Overall, I'd say 3.5 stars for the food, but 4 stars for service, ambiance, and overall experience. I really hope the food quality improves because this location has been one of our favorites.

And this is easily the best one and the one we love the most, Punto Peruano is cuter but in flavor? Doesn't come close. Literally always ask for the pollo la brasa with EXTRA sauces every birthday because it's my favorite thing to eat and it always comes out good every single time. They've moved like 3 times I think and I've followed them each time lol they are just so worth it. If you want real Peruvian food made by real Peruvian, try it! Cuz here's some tea I found out, a lot of these Peruvians places DONT even have Peruvians cooking the food???? Does not make sense and this place DOES! Please give it a try, I promise you won't regret it

La Caravana is a small place right by the train station and post office. A beautiful mural of Machu Pichu inside. A handful of tables. Our food came right out. A whole roasted chicken. Fries and fried sweet plantains. Everthing was outrageously delicious. The fries were hand cut. The chicken was juicy and came with a spicy green sauce that was addictive. We took the plantains home to munch on later. A great meal for a reasonable price. Skip the supermarket and chain roast chicken. Take a drive to Plainfield.

The restaurant was laid out with tables to the right & left, a coffee/juice bar and a bakery section in the back. Since my Spanish is nil, I believe who was one of the owners helped us choose our meal. Peruvian Beef Stir fry with rice and fries & Pueblo Style fillet of fish (tilapia) I had plantains & black beans as sides. Both were portions for two people & absolutely delicious. I had a tamarind drink and my friend had a Batido Mango (made with milk) The staff were all sweet and helpful. We got to-go bags. The prices were very reasonable for what we got. After we paid the check we were given caramelo flan ~ we said we would never finish it - well we did! Pretty much licked the plate. Can't wait to go back! And since I watch Celtic, premier, euro soccer, have found a new place that opens early! Soccer was playing on the screens while there! Another plus. Definitely check this place out, they have traditional Costa Rican, Peruvian and Salvadoran dishes - just to name a few!!!
