We came again, bringing my daughter this time. We tried a few different things and truly enjoyed them all. My daughter tried the purple corn juice, delicious. For appetizers, we had the beef empanada and quarter roasted chicken. Delicious! For entrees, I got the ceviche based on the recommendation from the other customer last time, and it was so good, great flavor with varieties of seafood including crab. My daughter had the Tacu Tscu b/c it was so good last time. My husband had the Entrana. We all enjoyed our dinner very much! If you like Peruvian food, you should try this place. If you haven't tried Peruvian food, you really should go here. Their food is flavorful, and other customers told me it's authentic too. So happy they are in my town. ^_^

This is by far the best Peruvian restaurant in New Jersey !!! The quality of the food is amazing , not only the but the service makes it even better. The servers they are very welcoming and make sure we are doing good but most important owner made us feel like home. Great for families and couples. This is now my favorite place.

I've heard so many good things about this restaurant. It didn't disappoint. We ordered the skirt steak which came with rice/ beans. The rice/ beans were unremarkable but flavor in the steak made up for it. The steak was also a good size- enough for 2 meals. Owner is extremely friendly & very customer oriented. The waitress doesn't speak much English but did a good job understanding our requests & was very attentive. BYO always a plus. I've heard frequent compliments about their chicken, so I'll be getting that next for takeout. Try Peru Chikann. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

This place is amazing, love the vibes. Food tastes fresh, portions are just right. Food took a little time to come out but you cannot rush perfection. Would recommend anyone to come here.

First time at Peru Chikann. First and foremost, I was very impressed by the quality here - everything is made from scratch and to order. You can taste the difference. I know Peruvian food, and before the plate was even on the table, I could tell they cook from scratch. The place is really cute and it's BYOB. Service was great, and the owner, Freddy, is super welcoming. He previously had a restaurant in Williamsburg Brooklyn for almost 20 yrs and decided to open something closer to home. If you like Peruvian food and/or you appreciate restaurants that don't take shortcuts, you will love this place. Closed Tuesdays.

Out of all of them, this location has honestly been the one we've enjoyed the most and the one we keep coming back to. That said, over the past year or two, I do feel the food quality has declined a bit. I recently ordered the lomo saltado (the lower-priced option), and while the meat was flavorful and savory, there was a little too much broth, which made the fries and rice soggy. My husband ordered the tacu tacu with steak, but it felt like there were barely any beans in it. For the kids, we ordered salchipapa. They enjoyed it, but I was expecting the hot dogs to have a little more crisp instead of being soft. What keeps us coming back is the experience here. The restaurant is always clean, organized, and has a really nice ambiance. The staff is attentive, service is quick, and we rarely have to wait or follow up on anything. Their ají verde is still really good too. Overall, I'd say 3.5 stars for the food, but 4 stars for service, ambiance, and overall experience. I really hope the food quality improves because this location has been one of our favorites.

This BYOB spot stands out with its creative mocktails and attentive "mocktenders" behind a beautiful bar. We visited to celebrate my granddaughter's 32nd birthday--just the two of us--and it turned into a truly memorable evening. I began with the Pulpo a la Parilla appetizer, which was perfectly cooked, and followed it with the Lobster Ravioli "A lo Macho," bursting with stunning flavors. When my entrée arrived cold, the staff handled it immediately and graciously--remaking the dish with an apology and even offering a complimentary appetizer. Their response was prompt and sincere, and I was very satisfied with the outcome. My granddaughter chose the Anticuchos de Lomo Fino appetizer--melt-in-your-mouth tender with a heavenly sauce--and the Lomo Saltado entrée, which somehow tasted better with each bite. Every dish was beautifully presented, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming. As the evening wound down, the team added a thoughtful touch: a sparkler-lit tiramisu for my granddaughter. The presentation was elegant and understated--just as she would have wanted. And the tiramisu itself? The best I've had in my 67 years. Perfectly portioned for sharing, with coffee-soaked ladyfingers that release rich flavor with every spoonful, layered with creamy mascarpone--it was the ideal ending to a special celebration. From the lovely young woman who greeted us to the gentleman who meticulously cleared our table, the service was consistently warm and attentive. This restaurant is a true gem and has earned a permanent spot on my "must return" list. Kudos to the entire team

I want to say first that peruvian japanese is one of my FAVORITE cuisines and I make an effort to go to them whenever I find them (best meal ever was a peruvian japanese spanish restaurant in Barcelona called Pakta which closed down since covid but was run by adria brothers too.) I love a good chicha morada. BYOB but they do have mocktails you can mix in if you want. The atmosphere and decor inside is wonderful-- you don't feel like you're in Edison. You feel like you're at least in Jersey City or something if not in the city. Modern date night decor and vibes. The prices are not cheap for the area, but I can tell you it is certainly worth it. The ceviche trio was excellent and extremely filling, as they gave huge portions! The amazonico roll was my absolute fave. pork belly on what looks like a sushi roll but doesn't taste like one?! Red snapper with squid ink risotto was perfectly cooked and seasoned, but I would've liked to see a sauce with it as it felt drier the way it was served. That's the only thing I likely wouldn't order again even though it was still good overall, but because I want to try other things on their menu. I'm already planning to be back in a few weeks and excited to try other things!
