Make sure to come here on an empty stomach! The portion sizes are out of this world, humongous! The server was so sweet explaining to us what each dish was. The inside is very cute, warm, welcoming and has plenty of seating. I ordered causa and chicha morada and my family ordered the gigantic jalea platter; they were huge fans of the fried yuca, calamari, and the shrimp. Definitely need to come back another time to try more authentic Peruvian food.

We are frequent customers of this good restaurant but this is my first time writing a review. Let me start off by saying the staff is always attentive and nice! The portions are also huge! I ordered the lomo entraña and it was ok. The steak was tender but the potatoes (fries) lacked salt and crispiness, which was a total bummer! The white rice was also a bit hard. My husband ordered the churrasco steak-delicious and so were the yuca fries! Nice and crispy!! HUGE portion! Lastly, the restaurant charges for the take home containers and an additional $3.00 for using a credit card :(

Haven't gone in a while. And they reminded me why. Food was good! Service was worse than ever! After being seated for a while the waiter finally comes to take our order. After saying the first item in our order (leche de tigre) he asked "anything else". Facepalm* how is that enough for a family of 5?? After taking our food order we started telling him what we wanted to drink. He said he would come back. Never did. The very nice food runner starts bringing out food. We ended up asking him for drinks... never came to see how food was or if we needed anything. They gave us 2 of the green hot sauces for our large order. Not that big a deal because the food was actually good! But what I was most shocked by was the bill. They charged me for to go containers. Incredible! Make sure you're done with all your food before leaving! Would have left a 3.5 if I could.

Had a friend's night and got Hugo's for takeout. We had Steak, shrimp fried rice, rotisserie chicken, and fried fish. The shrimp fried rice was amazing. It wasn't overly salty and the dish was seasoned very well. The chicken was pretty decent. The steak was one of my favorites as well. It was tender, seasoned great, and went well with the shrimp fried rice. The fried fish wasn't a fan favorite, however. I would come back and dine in because I was advised that the inside just was redone.

I had Hugo's with a friend on a Tuesday afternoon. It was fairly quiet. We were sat right away, the staff was kind. We ordered 2 waters, arroz chufa and 2 quarter chicken combo which came with fries and salad. Food came out fairly quickly, it was tasteful and the green sauce was made perfectly. We enjoy everything just thought it was odd the server made a tip comment on our receipt. I cant help but feel they did this because who we are

Food was absolutely delicious and the portions were huge! Could easily feed 4/5 people.

If you are in the mood for Peruvian food look no further. The entrance to the restaurant is in the back of the building you can use the side alley way to get there. They have a very nice outside section, however couldn't eat there, there was no space for my party of 6. Let me tell you, you will not leave here hungry in fact you might have lunch for two days. Lol! I have boys so you know they can eat they couldn't even finish their plate. Each dish we had was fresh, tasty, and piping hot. Our waitress was very accommodating as well. I will definitely be back!!!

I was in the mood for Peruvian food and decided to stop by this spot. I ordered the Tallarin saltado de pollo over the phone and the man said it would take 30 minutes. When I arrived I had to park illegally because parking isn't great in the area. I walked in and was greeted. I told the man my name and he said it wasn't ready yet. I waited about another 10 minutes or so and paid about $14 for a large tray. When I got home I dug in and the meal was good. It was seasoned so well and there was plenty. I had a good experience.

Delicious Food for your $$$ :)

Overly priced "okay" Cuban food. Staff was nice and attentive, but there was nothing special about the food or the place.

The ambience is cool and appealing, the music was a little loud, especially during the DJ party. The furnishing is warm. The place has been redone by new ownership (2026). The service was inconsistent at best. Be prepared, they don't serve tap water, just expensive fancy bottled water. The food came out to us with deffering amonts of delay, and they entirely forgot about one of the people's order twice, even after reminding them. On the 3rd time the waiter completely washed their hands of it and claimed ignorance about the placed order, then informed us they did not have the ordered item. When we wanted to replace the order they told us the kitchen was now closed. The person remained hungry since they couldn't eat any of the other foods people ordered. Normally I would give a place the benefit of the doubt, and write it of to being busy, but this was not good!

We sat at the bar. Service was friendly & attentive, food wait times were respectable. Metered street parking on a street that can be tricky to get parking. We had the Cubano Cuban, Beef empanadas, & Coconut shrimp. I also had the 'Renegade' drink. The renegade was really good, I enjoyed the empanadas and their sauce. I wasn't a fan of the coconut shrimps sauce, it was too runny, not solid consistency at all. The shrimp itself didn't contribute much, so the sauce was what needed to bring it home. The Cuban was flavorful, but we both agreed that the pork was dry. I'd give them another shot if invited, but I wouldn't go back on my own. They also have parking in the back, which is always a huge plus! When we arrived, there were only about three tables filled, but as the evening went on, more and more people started coming in. There was a steady flow of customers dining in, picking up takeout, and visiting their bakery. And let me tell you--the baked goods looked absolutely fabulous! I'll definitely be trying some next time. Our waiter, Joe, was fantastic! He was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the entire evening. We started with the ceviche de chicharrón, and WOW--it was amazing! The combination of tostones, crispy chicharrón, the perfect amount of onions, and one of the best guacamoles I've had in quite a while made this an incredible appetizer. My husband ordered the fried fish, and it was so fresh and perfectly fried. It came with salad and tostones, and he absolutely loved it. My son and I both ordered the traditional Paisa dish, and the portions were HUGE! Everything on the plate was delicious and cooked perfectly. I added fried onions to my steak, and let me just say... THE BOMB! One more thing I forgot to mention--this restaurant is BYOB! Overall, we had a wonderful experience--from the food and portions to the service and atmosphere. We will definitely be back, and I can't wait to try more from their menu and bakery! Highly recommend giving this place a try!

I was treated very, very well in helping me choose today's lunch special selection. Mana is a nice space with a huge mural painted on one wall with several tables spread out in the restaurant with a comfortable distance between them. To the right is the counter where you order and pay. The restaurant is clean and welcoming and I would have been happy to dine in had I not been running errands. The food is mostly laid out on a steam table behind the counter. I saw different kinds of chicken, pernil, potato salad, green salad, empenadas and more. I wound up ordering yellow rice with black beans and a baked chicken leg. I also ordered a side of Maduros and a chicken empanada. Here's how I found everything (keeping in mind I took it home to reheat before I ate it): Chicken Empanada Unlike most empanadas I get nowadays, this one seemed to have been fried, with a crispy, yellow outer shell. The crunch was fantastic and I really liked the flavor. The chicken inside was super tasty and I immediately wished I had ordered another of these. Maduros I LOVE a good plantain but they are surprisingly hard to find. I would say if I go to five restaurants with them perhaps only two will have really good ones. Maduros should have a nice chewiness, maybe even a bit of caramelization on the outside with a wonderfully sweet flavor. I am happy to report that Mana has exactly this and it was great! Chicken & Rice with Beans The rice with beans were good and had some veggies mixed in. I've had better and I've had worse, so this falls straight in "B" territory. The chicken was the same - tasty, well cooked, moist but the flavor was average. Flavor-wise this is a good dish (not amazing). That said, the *serving size* was tremendous and there was enough rice for me to have over two meals and for that it deserves high marks! I really enjoyed the food from Mana. Sure it's not the best ever, but it was good and priced reasonably. I'd definitely go again.
