I was soooo excited to see Forum Coffee open up! I made it there opening day and couldn't believe how beautiful it is inside. It looks like a little European cafe filled with little bistro tables. I got a hot oat milk latte and loved every sip. It was hot and strong and a perfect pick me up. The pastry case looked very tempting, but I will have to indulge on another visit. The coffee was pretty gross as well, which could be a byproduct of the barista hating that they were working that day. I am a sucker for a fun drink and wanted to try the cookie and cream latte, not knowing it was just a cup of milk with the smallest splash of coffee and mixed with crushed up cookies. I felt as if I was drinking a child's recipe, with each attempted sip clogging my straw due to the cookie pieces. If you don't like coffee this is great, because it tasted exactly like what was advertised - milk and cookies. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but my partner ordered something completely different and it didn't taste great either. The taste of burnt coffee was prominent, making it hard to consume as well. The one positive is the environment seems like a great place to work remotely / study, as that is what many patrons were doing. The open-ness and bright atmosphere is great, but the beverages and customer service not so much.

The staff was very pleasant, and my drink was prepared quickly yet with great care. I can't wait to go back soon and try some of their baked goods, which all looked divine!

I've never had traditional Yemeni drinks before, so I was excited to try something so beloved from another part of the world. I think someone who likes chai, fall spices, and coffee would enjoy this part of the menu. If you're less adventurous, they offer all of the standard coffee/espresso/matcha drinks. Their pastry selection is also stunning; I will likely be avoiding them due to my nut allergy, but the owner said that the fruit pastries are made specifically for this cafe, and all of the other pastries were taste-tested and intentionally selected to be part of the menu. The owner shared that he enjoyed the other locations of Moka & Co and felt that the area needed a place with new flavors and a comfortable space to gather with friends, especially at night when bars are the only alternative. Moka currently closes at 10PM or later, and when my friends didn't realize that the cafe had closed around us, the staff didn't rush us out, instead letting us finish our game for an extra thirty minutes. Throughout the night, we enjoyed friendly staff and fellow customers, the night air blew peacefully through the open french doors, and we basked in soft, warm lighting. One employee insisted that we sample one of their refreshers, so she brought over Vimto refreshers (grape, raspberry, and blackcurrant infused with select herbs and spices). The woman who was making the drinks beside him then said something along the lines of "so you're ordering a strawberry matcha latte". Like I was suppose to know that and order that way. I didn't know if it would cost more or if it wasn't suppose to be included as a syrup or if she was training him.
