I am writing to share feedback about a recent experience at the Somerset location on Cedar Grove land involving a breakfast sandwich that I returned. While I appreciate that the manager refunded my money because the bacon was not cooked well, I was disappointed by the way the situation was handled. The manager did not apologize for the inconvenience, acknowledge the issue with the item, or show concern for the experience I had as a customer. A refund resolved the transaction, but it did not address the service concern or leave me feeling valued. I believe customer service should include more than simply correcting the payment. When a customer takes the time to return an item, especially food, it is important for the team to acknowledge the inconvenience, apologize sincerely, and make the customer feel heard. A more customer-focused response would have made a significant difference. I hope this feedback is shared with the store leadership team so that future customer concerns are handled with greater care, empathy, and professionalism. I have been a Starbucks customer for a very long time and expect the brand's service to reflect attentiveness and respect, even when resolving a simple return. read more

I like the latest renovation a lot. If I had written this review before last year's renovation, I would have only given three stars. It had been looking a little shabby, but now it really looks great! The new layout is spacious and airy with a soothing color scheme. I enjoy the food and drinks here, and ordering through the app is convenient and saves time. This location does not have a drive thru. It's at the end of a strip mall and there's free parking in the lot right in front of the building. At times, this location is very crowded and the staff does an admirable job hustling to keep up with all the orders. read more

I like having one local but tend to enjoy their ice tea drinks, especially one that imitates an Arnold Palmer. It recently had a vehicle go through the window which closed it for awhile. That's gotta kill the bottom line there especially since the landlord in that shopping center is known to overprice the rent which ends up closing a lot of the businesses. read more

I went to Starbucks on my break and hadn't checked if it was even opened. It was kinda on the late side on a Saturday night. It was opened and this was the cleanest and most fresh smelling Starbucks I have ever had been in. The bathroom was even very clean. I go to Starbucks at least 3 times a week so I am familiar with the flow. There were plenty of people in there and the service was accurate and fast. This location continues to rip you off. They never give you a full cup, but they charge you $7.00 for a cup that is filled 75%. I have made phone calls to them before complaining and apparently the managers do not care. See the pictures below. The bag was sealed so you can't blame it on Uber. Came in when I was running errands in the area. My friend and I stopped in for an early evening refreshment. The location wasn't too crowded when we came in. You could tell the inside needed to be tidied a bit; that's understandable considering we likely came in after a busy Sunday. The employee at the register was very friendly. He was patient with us as we took a few moments to decide what we wanted to order. I went for my go-to fall beverage: a venti Iced Pumpkin Chai with oat milk and light ice. My friend when for a Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso topped with Pumpkin Cold Foam. We also added on some large waters last minute, which the employee was very friendly about. I stopped in the restroom as soon as we finished ordering. I was happy to see that it was fairly well-maintained. As soon as I came out, our beverages were ready. Considering there were several people waiting for orders, I thought this was a pretty quick and efficient waiting time. Despite being busy, the employee making the drinks kindly gave men some straws that I asked for right before leaving. In terms of order accuracy, both drinks were made very well. The level of light ice I got was just perfect. The taste was spot on, as this is a regular beverage for me where I can sense when it tastes off. My friend loved her beverage, as it was a new order for her. Overall, I liked my experience at this location. In terms of quality, wait-time, and service, they did a great job. This is the place my friends and I like to go after Church to grab a quick drink to stay awake for the rest of the day. The location itself has pretty limited seating on the inside, so it can get really packed during the winter with everyone standing around waiting for their order/talking. Because of that, the front of the restaurant can get pretty loud if you're trying to do work/study. As for ordering, I would highly recommend using the online app to order as 9/10 times it will be faster than ordering at the register. Overall, it's a pretty standard Starbucks with the typical drinks and pastries you would expect to find. read more

This Starbucks does not prioritize in person orders. I waited 25 minutes just to not get a drink. I had to leave since the people who ordered after me got their coffee and I asked multiple times when I'd be getting mine & they kept saying soon. I saw them chugging multiple mobile orders of people who weren't there and multiple ppl in person still waiting for their orders. It's a typical Starbucks! There is a lot of parking, some tables outside for nice weather, and a handful of tables inside. It can get pretty crowded especially with a lot of people waiting for their order/mobile orders. The staff is usually friendly and attentive to take orders. It's a good atmosphere to get work done if you don't mind background noise. I notice a lot of communities and groups gather here to talk and converse, more than individuals working on laptops. Space is a bit small. For example, if you want to get to the tables in the back or the bathrooms, you'd have to excuse your way through the line of people waiting to order, or squeeze by the long table that people are seated at. Nonetheless, it's Starbucks, and they get the coffee shop job done! Consistent menu, good coffee, and free wifi. read more

I've been frequently visiting this particular Starbucks since it's on my way to work and easily accessible from Cedar Grove Lane. Staff gets to know you when you are regular and are always friendly and remember your order and name after few times. One of my favorite Starbucks! Right next to my work and never had bad service here. The line does get long during lunch time but it moves pretty quick. Tip: if you are sick get the Medicine Ball: The Jade Citrus Mint Tea and Peach Tranquility Tea steeped in half a cup of steamed lemonade and half a cup of hot water plus two packets of honey. This is a very busy Starbucks - I visited around 345/4 for a business meeting and it was packed! I mean so packed that I was going to have to be stuck with the last two high top chairs! Every single seat was taken ! Luckily I found a table eventually- and all was well! They did have a lot of options for to go food and a well stocked selection of spindrift which is my jam and most Starbucks are always out of or have only a few! Whenever I mobile order I show up and my drink is right there. The staff lets you stand there for over 5 minutes without acknowledging you. When you attempt to reach for a straw or your drink they get angry with you because of covid. The whole point of mobile ordering is not to have to wait. I feel awful that I haven't reviewed this Starbucks location yet. They were my first and still the best. The baristas are friendly, attentive, efficient, and skilled. There isn't a ton of room considering how busy the store is, but they make the best of the space that they have. On weekends it gets busy and the line gets long, but the staff moves them through quickly while maintaining their friendly atmosphere. They get everything right here. read more

This is a very good Starbucks store. I've been coming here for over 20 years. The staff is terrific and there are many regulars that make it nice. The only drawbacks are that it can get busy and the parking lot immediately in front of the store can be filled with traffic coming & going. Fortunately there is plenty of nearby parking because of the strip mall location. That's actually another reason to visit this area of Somerset because there are many other good food options in the mall. Especially Mi Amore (next store) and Jo Sho. Mi Amore also sets out tables and chairs during warm weather and there is always a crowd when it's a really nice day. Even if it's raining, the outside seating is covered. I generally stick with coffee but this Starbucks offers everything that can be found in all the largest/best stores. They even have a clover machine (intense individual brews) that many other Starbucks do not have. The staff is definitely experienced enough to make anything to your liking. There best barista is Chris who has been working there for years and is generally there most weekday mornings. With Starbucks push to be a 'third space' in people's lives this store definitely fits that bill for many people. You can see it each day with all the regular customers from the local community and people working/visiting nearby Davidson Ave. You will also see plenty of weekly regulars that come to the area on the weekend because of the multiple religious congregations in Somerset. This store can be as crowded on a Sunday afternoon as it would be during peak hours on a weekday. And it can be any type of person or group. read more

This is one of the friendliest Starbucks locations I have been to. I love to see staff members remember you by name - it just makes the experience that much sweeter and in my opinion, it's one of the main reasons you choose a Starbucks over a Dunkin. This location is in a strip mall with the worst parking lot that just gets so crazy busy in the mornings and during the lunch rush - but that's nothing out of the ordinary for any Starbucks I've been to. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I love the iced tea lemonades and refreshers, particularly the Pink Drink (strawberry acai refresher made with coconut milk instead of water). I also love the cake pops! The staff at this location is so nice, and they handle the lines really well. It's not the largest location, often hard to find a seat if you want to get work done. But, they can't help this.
