After I spoke up the girls were quick to apologize and gave me a free drink voucher. I felt a little better after that, and plus the cappuccino was really good. This little Starbucks is quite the hopping place. Line was real long but that doesn't seem to deter people from getting their cup of joe. The store is nice and clean and I could see people on their headphones, on their laptop enjoying the afternoon. Thought I was lucky parked right in front of the store until we started leaving. Heavily populated during peak times (12pm and 3pm). Overall, I felt that this location was a good experience to study in despite the rush hour crowd that comes in. Just remember to bring headphones to avoid distraction. Otherwise, I typically order through my phone to avoid standing in line and waiting among the rush hour crowd. This also gives me more time to spend studying at my table and my phone notifies me when my order is ready! Location is a bit small though, so good luck finding a place to sit! read more

But this particular Starbucks is a little gem that I like to think of as my own personal coffee shop. Sure, they're busy as well, but it's different. The crowd always flows and the drinks are always spot on. Plus, you can enjoy yours inside, or outside accompanied by a furry friend. Easily one of the best Starbucks locations in the area. I'm very thankful it is around the corner from where I work. Mobile ordering is a breeze and they are great about making sure the mobile orders are taken care of quickly and updating the status on the app. I have rarely had a drink that was made incorrectly, not as ordered, or forgotten which has happened at other Starbucks locations. Considering I frequent this location (say I order 3 times a week for a total of 52 weeks at 156 drinks) and have had only a few errors I'd say their average is amazing (considering this location is consistently busy). Even when they make a mistake they are happy to correct the order. The rare time I do not order through the mobile app, I noticed the lines can be long (which is typical) and you will have to wait a few minutes for your drink (expected) but otherwise a pleasurable experience. read more

I frequent this starbucks often because of it's convenient location. The baristas are friendly and drinks are always made quickly! However, there have been many times I have walked in and right back out due to long lines and nowhere to sit. I think that this location is too cramped for the amount of traffic it gets. Alright. I finally have to say something. I come to this Starbucks a lot (3-4 times a week) since I work in the area. Every single time I come they are either out of ingredients or they make my drink wrong. Every. Single. Time. I have yet to have a good experience at this location. The teenagers working there have such attitudes when you let them know your drink was made incorrectly it makes you not want to say anything. Corporate should take a look at this location. Used to love this location. However, the quality of staff have gone downhill. The place is not kept as clean, and service has become slower. The baristas (most not all), don't event seem to care about the quality of drinks they make. There is one young fellow barista and young girl at the cash register that are still on point. I used to come here a lot, and never had any complaints. I went there for the first time in awhile and was surprised at how nasty thee coffee was. I ordered online and my mocha coconut milk macchiato wasnt layered whatsoever, and the taste of chocolate covered any other flavors. Above all of that, the coffee flavor that i could taste was extremely sour. The second latte i ordered was also extremely sour. They weren't even busy when i picked up my order, so either the staff is lazy or trained wrong. Ended up throwing the drinks away. Complete waste of $10. Will definitely be continuing to get my coffee from dunkin donuts from now on. read more

This Starbucks used to be great under different management. Hon, I believe his name was, perhaps Han? Not sure but once he left they went downhill. They routinely make my drink incorrectly regardless of whether I order on the app or in the store. Here's my drink, a tall coffee with two pumps of vanilla. I used to ask that they do not use the classic syrup but that got ignored so many times that I just took what I could get. During my most recent visit, I ordered via the app and then waited for the notification to let me know the order was ready. I went in to the store to pick it up but alas, no drink. I then waited an additional 15 minutes as people who came in after me ordered in-store and got their drinks before me. Fine, I understand. I can deal with that. It happens (all the time at this store). When I inquired about my drink, I was simply told, "I don't have it here" and then the person behind the counter walked away. I went back to her and asked if I should order it again and she gave me an attitude like I was bothering her before relenting and making the drink. Thanks so much! When she returned she informed me someone else took it my original drink and then walked off. Yeah, screw you too Starbucks at Cedar Grove. You were once a great place to get coffee. Now you serve attitude and apathy to the hapless people that visit. No worries, I will never return to this hole again. Put simply, it sucks. read more

I really love this place. I recently moved to New Jersey and so far this is the friendliest place I have been. As for the service Mike is the nicest cashier and Chris is the best skinny caramel macchiato maker. All the other staff members are really great and always get my order dead on and if there is ever an issue they fix it right away. Like the other reviewers have said this place is really busy at times but the line moves fast and even thought there are 20 people in line they still get my drink down within a few minutes. We have been coming here for 10 years on an almost daily basis. The staff is great but this latest remodel is awful and everyone we speak to feels the same way. The configuration of the space is not conducive to a community table. If the space was wider it might work, but it is just too narrow. When there is a long queue it is difficult for anyone to move from the front to the back, to the bathroom, for example. And people really enjoyed the upholstered couch and armchairs. I thought Starbucks employees were supposed to have customer training, but it is apparent that this place skipped that session. The woman that served me was racially ignorant to say the least. I placed my order and paid. I was waiting for my drink which never came up so I went up to ask. The (middle-aged heavy set) lady at the counter made the comment "you need to pay for your drink" . Uhmm, I ALREADY PAID and placed my order with that same woman WTH. She then made some comment "Why do you people come to this country and expect to be catered to?" I'm a paying customer. I am paying you to to make and give me my drink. Thankfully the younger barista working with her walked in from the back overheard this, made and handed me my drink (a size larger than what I ordered which was nice). She explained to her co-worker that she had to get syrup from the back. this is the literal worst starbucks in somerset county, periodt. no tampon. blood on the fucking floor. i am livid. upset. personally offended. honestly attacked and feeling unsafe. i ordered a VENTI dragoon drink with LIGHT ice. and my friend who ordered w me got a venti iced guava white tea lemonade but alas, you know what we got? i got a GRANDE dragon drink but there was NO DRAGONFRUIT and NO ONE wanted to tell me that until i already ordered it. i received a grande dragon drink with STRAWBERRIES instead of dragonfruit and with EXTRA ICE SO IM RECEIVING EVEN LESS BEVERAGE THAN I ALREADY WANTED. my friend, anthony, who's name was spelled "Anthny" got a venti GREEN TEA LEMONADE instead of an iced guava white tea lemonade. i - am appalled. i've never been so emotionally unstable after a trip to starbucks but this trip really did me dirty. please make a note of this and maybe fix your staff so this situation cannot reoccur. i would not recommend this location to even my worst enemy, yiganicwho is a whore for starbucks. thank you starbucks inc. for ruining my day, week, and my spirits. good night, motherfucking moon. read more
