We stopped in for something light for breakfast. We each had a chocolate eclair. This eclair was filled with so much cream. The cream was delicious and chocolate was excellent. We been here a few times and the owner and staff are very polite and friendly. We also got a loaf of bread which was delicious. read more

Small, family-owned bakery with a restaurant on one side. Have been coming to the bakery for years, but cannot speak for the restaurant. I'm surprised by the reviews talking about rude customer service, as I've experienced and seen nothing but courteous, friendly service. Their pastries are tasty, and their breads are the best around. Our friends got a few treats from Biagio's for a gathering and they were truly spectacular. The tiramisu and cheesecakes were so rich and decadent! The food is incredibly good. I had calamari for an appetizer and it was light and fresh. For dinner I had the special of Lobster Ravioli in a saffron creme sauce that was so good. Their bread is made on-site and incredible. Why have we never come here? I've been to Biagio's for lunch plenty of times over the years but never came in for supper. Shame on me! Food was DELICIOUS. It's NOT pictured because we were such greedy gophers and gobbled it down before it occurred to me to take photos. We split a burrata salad then hubby had Shrimp Fra Diavolo and I had Linguine al Volgone. Excellent food and good quality as well as quantity. Hard to come by these days. We had a super nice server named Sebastián and he was ever so attentive. They are a BYOB and play Frank (Sinatra) in the background which just adds to the ambiance. Simple and elegant. I live in the Lehigh Valley in PA and visited Biagio's Trattoria in Stirling, NJ last weekend after an event. I was with my 2 older sisters and brother in-law when we stopped in to grab a loaf of bread BEFORE going back to PA. You see, there are VERY FEW truly authentic Italian bakeries in our neck of the woods. As soon as we walked in, we were blown away by the display case, the amazing bread selection, ma Donna! All the treats my sisters and I grew up with were lined up like little soldiers. In the excitement of finding homemade sfogliatella, I must have dropped my wallet or left it behind on the counter in Biagio's. I did not realize until the following day (Superbowl Sunday...go BIRDS). In a panic and after tearing through the house, I called Biagio's and left a voice message and I emailed. Sunday afternoon, Biagio HIMSELF called to tell me my wallet was there and I can pick it up when it's convenient. I picked up the wallet, not a cent missing. Regazzi, this is INTEGRITY, KINDNESS and HONOR at its best. The pignoli cookies have nuts on the bottom, ON THE BOTTOM. The bread: SCARPETTA! Restaurant Review : this place has great potential, it just needs some fine tuning. Appetizers, Octopus with hummus, light on the octopus but very tasty. Eggplant with roasted peppers and mozzarella cheese. Needs to be served hot, maybe eliminate the mozzarella and go with a grated cheese instead. Dinners: short rib with pappardella pasta, pretty good. Pork osso buco- excellent - Veal Parm Veal Chop - Do not order, this should be a breaded, pounded veal chop. Instead it's a sort of poached/ grilled fillet chop with sauce and cheese on top. Service is good. Room is nice. Overall it's a notch above pizzeria quality with restaurant prices. read more

What a find! Hidden in Stirling is a bakery that serves UNUSUALLY out of this world sandwiches. I had the Napolitano and my girlfriend had the Biagio's Choice. Both were exceptional - almost addictive. I'm not sure if it's the soft and crusty bread or the sweet balsamic or the pillowy mozzarella. We also had the fagioli soup. Pow - what flavor. This is my second 1 star review...my first was on Google. Consider that it was so terrible I am taking the time to write 2 reviews. I bought some treats, mocha cake and brownie, for Valentine's Day. GROSS AND DRY!!! The worst desserts I have ever had. My husband was trying to be polite because I was the one that purchased them but I could tell he didn't like them at all. The person behind the counter was talking on his phone the entire time I was there including taking my order and checking out. Very rude. I will NEVER go back there again. read more

When invited here as a group of people I wondered if I had the address correct. A sit down dinner at a Bakery & Deli? Well, like some pizza places have there is a good sized "restaurant" side to the establishment as well though there was not much hint of it in the title or the previous Yelp reviews. If you really want to get confused, go to their website and to see the restaurant menu you need to click on the "Trattoria Biagio" to get there which makes sense but as far as I can tell there is no separate listing in Yelp for it nor is there a separate entrance for it from the street. Anyway, the appetizers were pretty average but I really did end up enjoying the Carne Brasata (Braised beef short rib over pappardelle pasta in a brown sauce) entree. Which kind of summed up the experience for the table. Overall it is a hit and miss experience with some really outstanding items and others that are average to meh. Also, it is BYOB which isn't a problem but if you haven't been here before you probably don't even know there is place to BYOB to. read more

My previous visits were good experiences and I might have given them a 4. My last and most recent visit really disappointed. Service was terrible and food came out wrong or uncooked. They were understaffed in the dining room with one hostess and one waiter while they were pretty full on Saturday night. One of the entrees was delivered to table as wrong dish and the right one had to be cooked making others uncomfortable to start eating while one had no food. Two of dishes were undercooked and had to be returned to kitchen. Now the person without an entree had company. Some finished before the others had food. Waiter tried to fix with dessert and coffee on the house but by then the experience was what it was. I had visited with my family for dinner a few months ago and had high expectations due to the nice ambiance. I ordered the cacio e pepe which is one of my favorite dishes and what I received couldn't have been further from the dish. It was virtually unrecognizable - so much so that I thought I received a different table's order. I was served spaghetti with oil and tons of parsley all over it. There was no cheese or pepper to be seen in the dish. Save yourself the money and get the Trader Joe's frozen cacio e pepe which blows theirs out of the water. Additionally, the waitress which I assume was the owner's wife was very overbearing and rude and she should be removed from the position. Food was 9/10, with the quality and portions a great value in light of the price. Traditional Italian food, without being over the top. Bread was amazing, as were the appetizers. This is an update to my review from 7/29/22: BEWARE OF OVERCHARGING!!!!!! I ordered an Italian with onions sub on a seeded baguette and aside from the fact that they confirmed my order and that they made it on a regular baguette instead of on a seeded baguette and that when I called to let them know when I got home that they messed up the order and that Blonde Wife hung up on me, I just noticed as I was filing my claim with Amex to dispute the charge that Blonde Wife had also OVERCHARGED me as well!!!!! The online menu price for that sandwich is $11.23, yet Ms. Blonde Wife somehow charged me $14.55!!! I did add onions, but if your telling me that onions somehow added $3.32 to the $11.23 (30%) that's just unimaginable!!! So, after reading my previous review as well as this one, if you are still inclined to patronize this restaurant then bring a calculator with you when you pay so you can check Blonde's math, because it's more than obvious what she is doing, especially based on other reviews claiming that they were OVERCHARGED as well!!! I'm going to reach out to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU to report this as well - this is pure unadulterated FRAUD!!! read more

We have been frequenting Biagio's for years for their pastries and bread, which are nothing short of amazing. We have also visited their restaurant a few times for dinner and have always been satisfied. This past weekend I decided to order a cake from them for my husbands birthday. Unfortunately, the cake was beyond disappointing. The cake looked great, but the quality was awful. The cake was dry and stale, it tasted like it had been baked several days before, and possibly even frozen. Their prices are certainly not cheap, and I don't mind paying for quality goods, but I will never order a cake from them again. read more
