Just had the BEST buffalo chicken pizza for lunch For $12 with a drink, this was such a steal. The slices were huge and it honestly tasted like real NJ-style pizza, which I loved. A follow up visit from last month and although our first experience was mostly positive, we felt that either the Grandma pizza crust we ordered this time was pre made and reheated with sauce and mozzarella or an unpicked up order was reheated to the point the crust ends were extremely hard, almost cracking my teeth and mozzarella was brown which meant over cooked. We did speak with owner last time we were there and seemed like a really nice man. Also business was booming on Friday night so obviously he is doing something right. This place is legit. The pizza is amazing! The guys there are awesome! You absolutely will not be disappointed with the food. The dining room is small but immaculate. I'm not from the area but I've been doing some renovations close by. I brought one of my guys there today and he was really impressed with the food as I was. I only stopped in to grab two slices of pizza, which I consumed on site. As many others have said, the owner Mike is extremely personable and the fact that he spends time with his customers speaks well of his interpersonal skills. The slices of pizza were excellent. When I asked about beer and wine, I was told you can bring your own, but they do not sell on the premises. You just don't get service like this anymore. It has a very old-school vibe. We stopped in here for dinner, made our way to the back counter, and took a seat. I got up to order and the guy behind the counter was shocked -- shocked! -- that we decided to get up and order, and apologized that I had to stand up. (Really, I don't mind. It was peak dinnertime for them and they were getting a lot of take-out orders.) A mother and a son with special needs came in while we were eating, and one of the staff members went as far as to sit down at the table and talk to the kid to get his order. (They may have known each other.) I didn't follow it closely, since our food was out by that point, but it sounded like they gladly re-made a dish he ordered but didn't want as-is. Talk about above and beyond. Of course, the pizza was great. I'm not sure of the style. It had a thin and firm crust -- not quite New York, not Greek, maybe a little New Haven apizza inspiration. The house salad is exactly what you'd expect, but it was a wonderful appetizer. (The house dressing is balsamic vinaigrette, in case you're wondering.) Who knows when I'll be in Basking Ridge next? Folks are very nice, they're getting a lot of foot traffic, and most of the prices are reasonable (except $16 for a small portion of fried calamari). Mike and his staff are phenominal. It's the 3 pie I've had from DiNaloli' and each one surpassed the last. I've had pizza from all over and DaNapoli' is at the top. Mike spent 7 years in Naples (the birth place of pizza) so he should know what he is doing. Crust perfect, sauce excellent, just the right amount of cheese and cooked to perfection.
