Ordered a large cheese pie and a chicken parm sub .

Food was amazing . Service was friendly and quick . You get a great portion of food with high quality ingredients.

Delicious Mozzarella and Carrozza after I plated it at home. Mmmmm!

This is our second order from Pizza Da Napoli. The food is delicious; my only complaint is that they need to put more cheese on their pizza. We ordered extra cheese, but it was the same amount of cheese you would get with a regular pie. The Mozzarella and Corrozza is delicious!!! It's one of my favorite Italian appetizers, and I was so happy to see that Da Napoli has it on the menu. If you haven't tried it, you must! My daughter wanted a stromboli with extra cheese (we like cheese...lol) and broccoli. The thing is huge and heavy!! It's enough for three servings, at least! The sauce that comes on the side is perfect! The person who answered the phone was very personable, and my husband enjoyed taking the owner. *Tip: Order the pizza lightly cooked if you want to reheat it. It's a bit on the overcooked side.

A great array of pizza by the slice!
Tim S.

I only stopped in to grab two slices of pizza, which I consumed on site. As many others have said, the owner Mike is extremely personable and the fact that he spends time with his customers speaks well of his interpersonal skills. The slices of pizza were excellent. When I asked about beer and wine, I was told you can bring your own, but they do not sell on the premises. I enjoyed everything about this experience, from the high-quality of the ingredients that led to excellent pizza slices to the friendliness of the server to the owner, even to the clean bathrooms! if I lived closer, I would be here weekly.

You just don't get service like this anymore. It has a very old-school vibe. We stopped in here for dinner, made our way to the back counter, and took a seat. I got up to order and the guy behind the counter was shocked -- shocked! -- that we decided to get up and order, and apologized that I had to stand up. (Really, I don't mind. It was peak dinnertime for them and they were getting a lot of take-out orders.) A mother and a son with special needs came in while we were eating, and one of the staff members went as far as to sit down at the table and talk to the kid to get his order. (They may have known each other.) I didn't follow it closely, since our food was out by that point, but it sounded like they gladly re-made a dish he ordered but didn't want as-is. Talk about above and beyond. Of course, the pizza was great. I'm not sure of the style. It had a thin and firm crust -- not quite New York, not Greek, maybe a little New Haven apizza inspiration. The house salad is exactly what you'd expect, but it was a wonderful appetizer. (The house dressing is balsamic vinaigrette, in case you're wondering.) Who knows when I'll be in Basking Ridge next? But, if you're in Basking Ridge and you want some old world food and hospitality, walk right in.

I was looking for a well rated Italian restaurant in Union County and Lupa Ristorante came up on…read moremany lists so I decided to check it out with friends. Lupa is located in a section of Berkely Heights that has seen a lot of recent construction, so it is very pretty and clean. You couldn't be blamed if you bypassed the restaurant. It is not very flashy looking and that is part of its charm. Be warned, there are not a lot of parking spaces behind the restaurant so you may wind up parking in the bank parking lot next to it (when the bank is closed of course). The staff at Lupa is super friendly and treats you like a regular even if this is your first time. The host was super nice, the waitress fantastic and the chef even came to our table to talk to us when we were done eating! The interior is very clean and modern looking. It's elegant and perfect for virtually any event including dates, anniversaries and family get togethers. We wound up sitting in the same area as the bar, which mostly has 2-4 seater tables and of course you can sit at the bar as well. The other side of the restaurant is where the larger tables are located. Here's a rundown of what we had: CLAMS ON TOAST Baby clams. crispy ham. thyme When I ordered this, I expected to see slices of toast with crispy ham and baby clams on top. Instead, it is two large pieces of wonderfully toasted bread with crispy ham on top. The actual clams sit in a *delicious* broth. Taken altogether these various components form a delicious bite. Be sure to dip that bread into the broth! SQUID INK SPAGHETTI lobster knuckles and claws. broccoli florets. grape tomatoes. Sherry Cream Sauce This dish has a wonderfully deep and earthy flavor. I've had squid ink pasta before and this was a wonderful example of it. The sauce was perfect and it was cooked beautifully. HANGER STEAK Truffled pomme frites. Chimichurri The steak was beautifully cooked (we had it medium rare) and the chimichurri sauce was great. However, the steak needed a bit more salt (and I'm not usually one to add salt to food). The pomme frites were wonderfully crispy and tasty. BROCCOLI RABE lemon. Kilos Broccoli rabe is a simple side dish but it is one of my favorites. It is also one that can easily be overcooked. These folks cooked it perfectly and it made for a fantastic side dish. My party and I loved our experience at Lupa and we all agreed we would happily return any time!

Our table had lots of space to spread out, and the music was not too loud. The server greeted us quickly and offered us drinks. She was also VERY acommodating to my diet restrictions (I am pregnant and can't have alcohol or cold cuts, so she showed me the mocktails and also offered substitutions for dishes with prosciutto). We ended up ordering the focaccia, bruschetta, calamari, and burrata to share. The appetizers were excellent, and my husband and I particularly loved the bruschetta. I then ordered the garganelli with creamy truffle sauce, and my husband ordered the pork chop. My garganelli was very flavorful but the cream sauce was just a bit too heavy for me. My husbands pork chop was cooked very nicely but could have been slightly more flavorful. Overall I could see myself returning for the garganelli as I LOVE pasta with a good creamy truffle sauce. For dessert we ordered the torta and bomboloni to share. The bomboloni came out warm and in a cute little dunkin' style box. They were delicious. They were served with an espresso sauce and a chocolate carmel sauce to squirt on top. I would definitely return for this item! The torta was just okay for me. The presentation was beautiful, but the cake itself was a little dry and could have had a more citrus flavor.
