For their food truck... Ordered from food truck....the prices are absurd.... $15 for 6 wings? $15 for mozzarella sticks? These aren't homemade, special family recipe...these are restaurant depot type resales....they are fine and tasty but for the price being charged, I expect something special. Many food trucks charge this much and more and I am happy to pay it when it seems like something unique and special and not something I can pick up from a frozen section of a food store. I picked up some entrees from Paolo's because this place was recommended to me .I got Paolo's salad, chicken Murphy, chicken francese, and chicken marsala. The 3 chicken dishes were frozen and this salad was prepared after I ordered it. Paolo's salad contained different varieties of fresh greens, mixed with healthy topping options ( almonds, dried cranberries， fresh strawberries, fresh grapes, fresh blueberries, crumbled goat cheese and their in house balsamic dressing. A bowl of salad was good for 2-3 people. It was refreshing and delish! Chicken Murphy: I normally don't like frozen food but the chicken breast chunks remained tender after reheating it in the oven. It was yummy. The sauce was not too salty, has mushrooms ,cherry peppers also. They said one order is good for 3, but actually 4 people ate and we had left overs. Paolo's kitchen was at the Teaneck, NJ Farmers market on Thursdays. Got the chicken cacciatore and pasta fagioli. Both item were frozen and on the containers instruction to reheat. Chicken cacciatore I put in the oven frozen and reheated for just under 30minutes. Once it defrosted I took out and drained some of the liquid so it did not overflow. I did place the chicken in a bigger tin dish. It was easy to cook and absolutely delicious. If I lived in New Providence I would be a regular. Food and and presentation was A+. read more

Buyer Beware- Had the very unpleasant experience of trying the following wings: BBQ, Buffalo and the Famous Balsamic "crack" Dressing wings. There are so many things wrong, I don't know where to begin... The breading on the pre cooked frozen wings was rubbery and mushy... most likely they purchased a very cheap quality wing from Restaurant Depot. The Balsamic "crack" dressing was truly awful, there was no discernible flavor, we couldn't eat them. The Buffalo wings had a hint of flavor which was disappointing as was the BBQ wings. The blue cheese dressing served on the side was watered down, again probably a cheap, poor quality dressing, it was so loose it barely clung to the wings. We also ordered the eggplant rolatini which was bland, flavorless and lackluster. In closing the so called "wing king" got our money once but I can assure you never again! read more

Paolo's Kitchen delivered to my hospital during the COVID pandemic and it really hit the spot. The nurses all appreciated the delicious Paolo's Salad, which were all individually packed. We stopped by on a separate occasion to pick up some of their frozen meals. Chicken Marsala, Chicken Francese, and Chicken Murphy were all priced well for the amount of food given. Not to mention, the quality of the meat is top notch. Big ups for hormone free meat. There are also gluten free and dairy free options here. I am so sorry to post this but after hearing pretty good things we decided to try Paolo's out. We ordered boneless wings, mac n cheese and the brocolli. Sadly the chicken was inedible. The center was so cold it felt like maybe it was frozen? The mac n cheese had a puddle of grease on top. The broccoli was fine but cold. I tried calling to discuss with the restaurant but no answer. First of all this place is amazing. Their store front is amazing and super up-scale. I'm a full time nursing student who lives in Teaneck, yes ladies and gentlemen I drive 45 minutes just to pick up food from Paolo's kitchen and I happily do it every time. Their frozen meals are super convenient for me as I am super busy all week between school and work. Their Penne Vodka, Meat Lasagna, Sausage and Peppers, Chicken Fingers, are AMAZING! I'm super happy that I found this place because all I do is turn my oven on, pop one of the frozen meals in the oven and I have a fantastic home cooked Italian meal. I ordered my first weekly delivery and thought it was a joke. The meal portions are so small they are ridiculous. I ordered for two and one packet could barely get one person filled up and we are light eaters. Please save your money. It came like a frozen dinner. Therefore, go to your grocery store, get the most expensive frozen dinner for two you can, and save big compare to these prices. I feel that the food is so small and terrible that perhaps they have an ulterior motive for selling this as it will not be in business long. I first tried Paolo's food about a year ago when I bought a vegetable lasagna from their stand at the Summit Farmer's Market. Remembering how good it was, I finally got a chance to stop in the store. Paolo is the nicest guy ever. He's also a great salesman...a sample of his aged balsamic dressing had me sold, and I ordered a sandwich for lunch right there. I got the Caprese (his signature sandwich/best-seller), it was delicious. Chicken cutlet, roasted red peppers, fresh mozz, and the dressing, on a fresh baguette. Almost took big to finish, and appropriately priced at $9. His freezer selection is pretty big considering how small the store is, and he also has a separate freezer for gluten-free meals, if that's your thing. I believe he does most of his business via farmers markets and catering jobs. On the expensive side, but really well done and made with love. Give this place a try if you haven't already. read more

We met Paolo outside of the location of a new Gastro Pub opening soon in New Providence. He was really nice. We finally got a chance to drop by his place and ordered some shells in meat sauce, a caesar salad, and a picked up a few other plates for the fridge. It was all great! We used Paolo's Kitchen to cater a holiday party of 16 people. They were fantastic. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We ordered a large platter of Eggplant Rollantini, and small platters of Chicken Marsala, Chicken Fingers, and Fried Shrimp. All were top notch (especially the rollantini) and received rave reviews from our guests. The platters were humongous (the small Chicken Marsala came with something like 25 or 30 pieces of chicken, while the large rollantini had about 60 or 70 pieces), and we'll be eating leftovers for dinner all this week. After reading the reviews I was excited to try Paolos, Walking into the store The people were friendly and helpful. I brought home some Mac and cheese and some chicken tenders. The Mac and Cheese took alot longer than 35 minuets to cook more like an hour, The quality of mac and cheese was lacking. I wasn't impressed at all, the noodles were overcooked, and the sauce wasn't thick, it was soupy. The chicken tenders were alright taste wise but again the quality wasn't so great I got alot of chewy parts in the chicken. Amazing frozen gluten free meat lasagna!! I picked up a frozen gluten free lasagna last week for a cook-free evening ... I wasn't excited about eating a pasta-free lasagna... Boy was a I wrong. It was DELICIOUS!!! The eggplant was seasoned just perfect and the sauce & cheese combination/ratio was perfect!! I will definitely stop by to pick up some more and try the other frozen entrees.
