The worst place to get your sandwiches. I had decided not to shop there a long time ago, but at the insistence of my coworker, I returned to order our lunch. First of all, they are very odious, they have no sense of what it is like to treat customers, I imagine that because they believe they are the only ones in the area and they have a lot of time there, so they treat customers badly. We called for our order, they told us it would be ready in 20 minutes, we arrived in 30 minutes to pick it up, surprise, they did not even know where our order was. Then the elderly lady who attended us was very odious and uneducated, she told us; we are so busy here, if you want to wait you can wait, or you can leave it. Very iresespectful, and when our order was ready, She was very upset, wrapped the sandwiches and threw it into the bag in a bad way. Very iresespectful. read more

We went here 2 days in a row - Day one was the roast beef and cheddar with gravy and meatball parmigiana- the roast beef was incredibly moist and tender just the right amount of cheddar and the gravy was unctuous, the bread toasted to perfection. A 10 out of 10 sandwich! Meatball parmigiana had tender moist meatballs with just the right amounts of seasoning and cheese, once again bread toasted to perfection!! Day two - cheesesteak, eggplant parmigiana and a Monica's favourite tuna Cheesesteak - this sandwich gives Dalessandro's steaks in Philly an run for its money- steak was tender and full of flavour right amount of onion and green peppers, topped with cheddar, if I would have asked for provolone it would have beaten the Philly champ hands down. Eggplant parmigiana was without a doubt the best I've had in years- sauce was full of flavour but you could still taste the tender well seasoned and breaded eggplant- bread toasted perfectly as usual!! The sleeper was the tuna - the olives and banana peppers took the tuna to another place. Just a big WOW Needless to say Pete and Monica were so friendly and accommodating no matter how busy it got they never rushed anyone's order or queries about the 50+ sandwiches on the menu With a little marketing this place could be an absolute nightmare of a line!!!!!! Love this place! From sandwiches to salads, everything here is absolutely delicious.. prices are also very affordable.. I typically get the tossed salad with chicken, chicken Caesar sub, or the Cobb salad and all are outstanding.. they have over 30 sub selections to choose from.. recently tried the eggplant parm and that was amazing! The marinara sauce was delicious.. another couple of my favorites is the Jackie Robinson pulled pork, Monica's favorite which is a tuna sub, and I believe they have a sandwich on garlic bread which is also delicious.. This place can get slammed for lunch so recommend ordering in for pickup.. things can get a little hectic there so it can be challenging to get their staffs attention.. outside of that this place is a gem! read more

I recently moved near the area and was told I have to try Dara's. Boy they weren't wrong ! For 7$ I ordered half an eggplant parm sandwhich and I felt I was in a 5 star Italian restaurant. First off the lady working the front was nothing short of an amazing comedian making you feel comfortable and at home with her own charm and personality that reassures you that you are in-fact, around other human beings who are making through their day to day shift with a great attitude. Then I met the head honcho of the joint who also was a great personality and made me happy to even try the joint; but aside from the great people who work here, for 7$ I had an amazing eggplant parm sandwhich,which I might add I was definitely not expecting to be as great as it was !!! It's something I'd expect from a fine dining establishment! Somehow, my credit card was declined for my order and your RUDE delivery guy, said, "there's no point in trying it again, we tried 3 times!" We are very pleased with this business and use this it for all our local catering needs. We were referred by our neighbor when we first moved in and six years later, we are still very happy with them. For just a little over $200.00 we served 20 people with jumbo sandwiches, Greek salad, potato and macaroni salads, olive/pickle platter, cheese platter, big house salad, soda and all condiments and paper products included. I mean, I did not have to do additional shopping for this party. We had tons of food left over and will eat for a week. The food itself is very fresh and varied. Our guests had nothing but good things to say about everything... and believe me, my Italian family is very opinionated when it comes to food. I like the casual atmosphere and the very Jersey feel of the place. You can eat outside as well. When we were there, 70% of the diners were law enforcement officers of some type..they usually are a good sign of food that is good, and this was the case once again.
