Vegetarians: Rejoice- no fish sauce/oil used in any curries or dishes aside from Pad Thai. Even that can be prepared without. We had our pickings off the lunch menu - which had a variety of dishes where you pick your protein which included tofu and mock duck. Each item comes with soup or salad and a spring roll. Massaman Curry with tofu, Green curry with mock duck and Basil thai fried rice with no egg. Salads were fresh with a peanut dressing. Spring rolls were hot and crispy with little to no oil. The green curry was spicy the way my wife prefers and the massaman curry was full of tofu, crinkle-cut carrots and potatoes. Large portions, lovely atmosphere and very helpful and polite staff. We were at short hills mall and craved some Thai food. Before heading out to the mall, I found this place that had very high reviews and was only minutes away. I couldn't say no. Thankfully, even if I couldn't easily find street parking in front of the restaurant, this place deserves every single star. Great work, not only is the food excellent but the decor is absolutely wonderful and the staff is beyond nice and welcoming. Went on Mother's Day and they were still able to accommodate us with an outside table even without a reservation. All the food I had here was very reminiscent of food I had when I travel to Bangkok. The somtum papaya salad was very tasty and refreshing! The pad kraw pow (minced pork over rice) was also so delicious and made me want to go back to Thailand. Very authentic. Best service- I walked in on Saturday evening with no reservation and they were so accommodating. I waited a little but they really did their best to get me seated asap. My drink came literally as I ordered, the girl behind the bar heard and brought it over. The food was 10/10 and also arrived so quickly. Medium spicy is spicy but manageable. I also tried the half scoop ice creams - pandan and black sesame. Worth getting the 1/2 scoop to try multiple flavors. It was still a regular sized scoop. All the food was exceptionally fresh!! For appetizers, I really enjoyed the chicken satay but my favorite were the chive dumplings. They were so unique, and vegetarian and gluten free. I got beef drunken noodles for dinner which was yummy, but they forgot to add spice to mine. Seems like an honest mistake - as the other drunken noodle dishes at the table were spicy. Stopped in on a Sunday night, and the place was fairly busy. The service was amazing, and the food was excellent--it truly reminded me of Bangkok. The staff are so pleasant and friendly. My favorite was the papaya salad, aka Som Tum--a must-try! It was refreshing with the perfect texture, a great way to start the meal. I also loved the coconut ice cream, especially from SkyIce in Brooklyn, New York. A must-try if you're in the area! My wife and I got a bunch of appetizers and some soup. I thought everything was good. My wife thought they seemed similar. You remember my wife, the picky vegetarian? We had ordered a bunch of similar vegetarian appetizers and to no one's surprise, well maybe hers, they were pretty similar. No stand outs though. A chive pancake? Little fried triangles. I seem to remember enjoying that. I did not leave a review. They had just opened and I wanted to eat a meal before leaving a review. There is another very, very good Thai restaurant in Summit. So I had not been back. I decided to get a lunch special. Drunken noodles which comes with a spring roll. I also ordered soup. The coconut based one. I apologize. There are only 2 on the lunch menu. Even if you don't google you still have a good shot The place is really cute. A lot of time and effort to decorate it. If you went to Jenni's the place that used to be there it looked like an episode of Hoarders. Well that is an exaggeration. I took a bunch of pictures. You'll see the inside. I went home. Spring roll was tiny. Half the size I expected. Very good. Crispy. Maybe a little cold? Drunken noodles were good. Good portion. Spicy. On the edge of too spicy for me. I ordered Regular spice level. There was a mild and a medium. Is medium less than regular? There was Thai Spicy. That is out of the question. But I'm pretty sure hot was an option. Where does regular fit? I liked the soup. Probably my favorite part of the meal. Not included. Still good. The staff is so nice. Honestly. They seem like they can't wait to help you. Delightful people. Oh. I thought they would specialize in Thai street food. But it's just standard Thai dishes. Maybe the Streatery name refers to the fact it is on a street? Best Thai I've had in summit for over 20 years. New to town, this is sister restaurant of Proud Thai. Definitely great food and BYOB. We had chive dumplings, chicken satay and tom yum soup to start. Pad Thai and basil beef were all delicious. Nice staff, but somewhat limited English, which is sorta nice. Limited tables, so glad we had a reservation. We started with the spring rolls, nothing special tasted like frozen grocery store. I had the chicken pad-Thai. Flavor was just okay and the chicken was rubbery, very tough. The chicken green curry was very spicy and the chicken again was not tender, chewy. All these great reviews are way off track! read more

We came here on a Saturday night, no reservations and it was packed. Despite this, the owner made sue he got us seated relatively quickly and kept us updated as we waited. Once seated, the service was excellent. Even though it was very busy, they checked on us regularly, cleared the table frequently and took great care of us. The food was excellent - we had the fried snapper and it was delicious as were the noodle dishes and apps. Only think I wasn't crazy about ere the wings - they seemed store bought, not home made, but they weren't "bad" - just not as good as other wings I've had at Thai restaurants. Overall it was a great experience despite being a last minute choice since were in the area and it was a busy night. Attentive and friendly owners, attentive staff, great food. can't really go wrong here. What I already knew from my orders - authentic taste, reasonably generous portions, fair pricing, etc. - was only enhanced by super friendly and warm service inside a beautiful and comfortable restaurant setting. It's a true family-run place where everyone seems to know the owners even though it's a relatively new restaurant in the area. Our crispy duck was spectacular. Ordered for pickup tonight. The app gave an estimated pickup window that spanned 10 minutes. Timed my arrival for the end of that window. When I arrived it was a complete S*-show. Many customers waiting a looooong time for their takeout orders. The owner / manager person was in complete confusion mode. Waited 30 minutes past the pickup time and finally got the food. Got home just a few minutes later as I live close by only to find that all of the dishes were lukewarm to cold. Pretty obvious I was made to wait 30 minutes for food that was just sitting in their kitchen getting cold af. The requested "Thai spicy" spice level was also ignored. This is a sister restaurant to Proud Thai in Berkeley Heights, owned by Thai restauranteur Tora. The quality of the food is excellent, like Proud Thai so we're happy to have found this as it's closer to us. The space is nicer than Proud Thai, with more seating.
