Upon entering, you go to the cash register to place your order and then you can watch your ice cream be made. It's always fun seeing the ingredients come together to make an adorable cup of rolls. After lunch we decided to get ice cream down the block. There's many preset options you can choose from and customize, or make your own. We decided to share a mango madness. However we didn't want the lychee jelly and opted for graham crackers instead. The graham crackers went really well with everything. The ice cream, it was real smooth, but I would've liked a stronger mango flavor and possibly bits and pieces of mango as well. I do have to say, the ice cream doesn't melt easy. You actually have to put some strength into eating the ice cream...as if it's straight out from the freezer, unlike some other places I've gone to where the ice cream isn't as thick and melts easily. On a sidenote: they do online orders as well so you can just come to pick it up, rather than waiting in store. read more

I have only had rolled ice cream probably three times before, but I thought this place was amazing. When I first walked in, I realized that they have a little room filled with sticky notes inside. Out of curiosity, I walked in to look around and the sticky notes were left by all the customers who visited. I thought this was a cute idea because the owners basically allowed the customers to decorate their place for them which really caught my attention. I got the customized rolled ice cream that is $7 (including tax). I had mango ice cream as my base mixed with Ferrero chocolate and strawberry. For toppings I got lychee jelly, mango popping bubbles, mochi, condensed milk, gummy bears, and pocky. You are allowed 2 mix-ins and unlimited toppings. I was a little worried at first because I got 6 toppings and I was wondering if it would all fit in my cup. I wouldn't be surprised if they only put a little of each topping because I ordered so much. However to my surprise, they were very generous with the toppings and added as much as they could into my cup so that it wouldn't overflow. I was very grateful for that. I thought the ice cream tasted really great with all the toppings that I had added in. I have only had rolled ice cream three times previously, but with the toppings that this place had made the ice cream taste a lot better and unique. If you don't know what to order or how to customize it, they have a signature menu that you can choose from. However, there's not a lot of information about it from the menu (like what toppings they add or what is mixed in). The service was wonderful-- both the cashier and the people making the ice cream are very friendly. The cashier is very patient and eager to answer all my questions. Overall, I will definitely come back to this place if I'm in Summit. read more

It's nitrogen rolled ice cream at its smoothest and finest quality. If you go to other rolled ice cream places you will notice that they make the chocolate ice cream by adding syrup to vanilla cream. We stopped by twice to try ZRolls and we LOVED the ice cream. The ice cream was nice and creamy and the kids really enjoyed coming up with their own combinations. I mixed the green tea with azuki beans which was good. The kids mixed chocolate with strawberries or vanilla with OREOs. Both absolutely loved their combination!! A nice plus the toppings. They let you pick ANY topping and you can add as many as you like. Of course, the kids loved choosing their toppings. I have had rolled ice cream one other time - in Pittsburgh this past spring. It was delicious and a lot of fun. This location seems to be missing the fun factor. Half the fun is seeing your ice cream rolled for you but they did not point out whose ice cream was being rolled. The mix ins were not all that generous and the ice cream was significantly less good than the last time I had rolled ice cream. I also found a hair in my ice cream at the very end of eating it. The staff are very young and the vibe is one of drudgery rather than enjoyment. My husband got mango and said his did not stay rolled rather melted into a lump. The ice cream is nice and creamy, and the toppings accomany the flavors of the ice cream quite well. The staff are quick with the orders. came here after lunch for dessert and man, i'm glad i did. the store was empty but it was okay because that meant more for us. i got the chunky monkey (they have set ice cream combos for $6.50) while my sister got to customize her ($7). the ice cream is sooo creamy and thick and for my sister who got to customize hers, you can put in as many toppings as you want (which is a steal for only $.50 more). definitely recommend this place to those who crave a sweet, thick ice cream after meals (or just in general as well). read more
