Surreal is always a great option when you have a sweet tooth. They have a variety of flavors like green tea Thai tea Ube. You can make Sundaes, floats, and they have teas. We always get a little bit of everything when we go with friends and family. This time we had a chocolate mason jar sundae and you get to Keep the mason jar which is sweet. Now you will spend a pretty penny to eat out like this but it's definitely for a moment you feel like indulging. Things usually cost about $6-13 dollars depending on what you get with add ons and what not. Overall this is a good spot in Westfield I've been to the one in Brunswick as well but this one seems to get more people probably because there's a lot of kids in the area and it's in a very popular part of downtown! Parking isn't too bad depending on what day you go.
Finally got to try Surreal. They don't have too many flavors... or normal flavors lol. I got a kids cup (which was huge) of the matcha and the Vietnamese coffee. They let you try the flavors too. You can add up to 4 toppings. The matcha was light but the coffee was way too strong and sweet. The good thing is they mix the toppings inside too. I would say it was way too sweet for my liking. Also really expensive at almost $10.
Super cute ice cream shop. I ordered the cookie monster with wafers and condense milk in a mason jar. The flavor was not what I was expecting so I was surprisingly surprise at the unique flavor. The mason jar was like a little treat at the end. Would definitely recommend the Surreal Creamy. Cant wait to bring my son.
What a yummy, creamy experience! This place has really fancy and great options. Located in the heart of downtown westfield, a great place to go after a good meal (or I guess this can also be considered a meal in itself). The ice creams are big, but it is something you must try. I made my own chocolate ice cream. It was very good. They also have these huge mason jar ice cream which is something I will have to try next time. Staff was very friendly and place was super clean. I highly recommend if you are in the area! A must try. They also have bubble tea options.

Simply the best ice cream shop in town! I love all their ice cream flavors, but if I had to pick, I would rank matcha, taro and strawberry as my absolute favorites. The portions are ginormous and you can easily feed a family of four with just one item. My go-to order is the Vietnamese coffee float-tea with match/taro swirl. The store is usually packed, but you can generally get a table as the turnover is fairly fast. Pro tip: always get the order "swirled" and not capped even if you plan to get it to go. The capped portion is a lot smaller.
Pricey place to go for a quick ice cream, but the quality is there if you're looking for something a little elevated. The matcha and taro twist was excellent. I'm a huge fan of matcha ice cream but so often struggle to find GOOD matcha ice cream.

Service was better than the GC, though there was only one person bustling to keep up with orders - he definitely tried his best. We were sad to see the strawberry soft serve was out, would like to come back and try some of their fun signature desserts. Relaxed ambiance, it's apparent that is the place to be, good place to hang.
It's a small establishment that is usually busy so expect a little bit of a wait. There options are pretty good and the serving sizes are even better and worth the money in my opinion. If you haven't tried it I would say go at least once, but beware if you do you may get addicted and have to keep coming back. Only con is I wish that they would have something or someone come clean off the tables after people leave ice cream can be very sticky and gross and you don't want to sit at a table like that.

very expensive, decent quality. the cake ain't very good. the ice cream is very good. when u go through the ice cream to get to the cake it's disappointing because it dries your mouth out. guy working was alright . ambiance was normal i guess. i could maybe pogo stick here.

Review is solely for the soft serve ice cream, but will have to try some of their other desserts in the future. Being that this summer has been absolutely sweltering this year, soft ice cream always seems to be my dessert of choice on those unbearably hot days. This place in the middle of Westfield is very clean on the inside, really nice and luckily on the day we visited, there was nobody inside so we were attended to immediately. They have multiple flavors of soft serve ice cream, At this visit we decided upon the monster cookies and chocolate soft swerve swirl. We thought about their other desserts, but ultimately decided against it but the mason jar sundae looked amazing. The ice cream itself, the chocolate was silky and smooth and absolutely as soft ice cream should be. The monster cookies tasted okay, but was a little gritty for soft serve. Maybe this flavor would work better with some of their other desserts, but as stand alone soft serve, it just was not it. I've had monster cookie adjacent ice creams usually as hard ice cream, and maybe it works better that way. Overall, solid, definitely would try their other flavors and other extensive desserts available. read more

Been here couple of times in different locations. This location's store is clean and in a pretty cool neighborhood! The earl grey bubble tea has a bitter sweet taste for those who like the tea, expect a hint of earl grey tea mixed with a swarm of sweetness. As the ice cream melts and mixes with the drink, expect a creamier and sweeter drink. read more

Service was excellent!! The icecream was delicious, fun, and creative. My favorite part is that the Mason Jar comes with a lid so whatever you don't eat, you get to freeze and eat later. I paid 12 bucks for my icecream and shared with my husband. Its honestly a lot of icecream. One Mason Jar can feed 3. I highly recommend. read more
This was a TREAT! Really cool place inside with plenty of seating. The cashier was so friendly and personable, and really made our experience great, as we had never been here before. We tried the sample of Earl Gray by itself. It's very light, you can hardly taste the Earl Gray, but it was still creamy and delightful. I ended up with the chocolate mason jar concoction. The portion size is very generous. But how appetizing and fun does it look?! It was enough to take home in the cute mason jar. The price is steep for ice cream but it's truly a surreal experience and would love to visit here again. read more
Always wanted to try Surreal but the Manhattan location is hard to drive to. Really really surprised they opened here in Westfield. I got the Floaties Taro flavor with mix Matcha and Taro ice cream - OMG!!!!! The price is on the higher side but the serving is unquestionable. It gives you joy everytime you sip it. The boba with the soft serve is just the next level dessert experience and taste. This is a genius creation and I highly recommend Surreal! read more

Surreal Creamery is just that, surreal. There was a great selection on their menu and then you are also able to create your own concoctions. The menu is a little pricey but it is expected in a trendy place like it it. I asked for a sample of the Taro cream to make sure I liked it and the gentleman gladly gave me one. I like it so I ordered the Know Your Roots Mason Jar. It has Taro ice cream, Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, chocolate cookie crumbs, and the Jarvis laced with chocolate syrup. It was sooo good. It's definitely a go to place but I'm going to say for special occasions. read more

I ordered the child size cup and it was PLENTY!! I like the options and the cookie monster flavor (blue on the bottom) was surprisingly delicious!! I'm a slow ice cream eater, which creates pressure because I don't want it to melt too soon lol... so it took me a while to finish. The prices are eh... a bit steep but I must admit they don't skip on portion. I will absolutely be back again!! The service was friendly, too. read more
This was a really cool creamery to have a create your own experience. Their menu is filled with unique ice cream flavors and toppings. I tried the coffee and grey earl swirl on top of milk tea with boba topped with a caramel cookie. I can't wait to go back and try new flavors. The customer service was awesome! A delectable festival for the sweet tooth! This place is truly lives up to its namesake SURREAL! With vegan options for me, my whole family could enjoy a large selection of generously customizable scoops of icecream served in cups, cones or even mason jars personalized with the Surreal logo to take home with you. Got the matcha & taro bubble tea swirl. first of all that little cookie in it was GREAT. It tasted like a legit snickerdoodle. I loved the taro part, the matcha was just slightly strong but overall I still liked it and will definitely be back! read more

Lots of space to sit down and hangout with friends in Westfield! Service was quick to get our order ready, the price is on the higher side though the drink/ice cream is honestly big enough to share with two! Would recommend if you're looking for something sweet to try! read more
A little overwhelmed at first with the menu because it was a lot of choices, but we decided to go with a make your own mason jar with strawberry ice cream with sprinkles, marshmallows, Oreos, and lucky Charms and a Thai milk tea. They give a generous amount of ice cream and toppings. We were only able to finish 1/3 of it. I liked that we were able to take it home and eat it later instead of wasting so much ice cream. The owner came to talk to us and asked us how we liked the ice cream. They were friendly and seemed genuine about our experience and opinions, wanting to improve their business. read more

I found out about this place on my Instagram news feed. My daughter and I ordered the Brown Sugar Floatie with Earl Grey ice cream. Very tasty but it's big and I'm glad we only bought one. Unless you have a big appetite, but definitely it was for 2 people to share, at least for us. Nice place but a bit pricey though. read more
