Taro Milk Drink
Amira I.

My go to for boba tea is Gong Cha and always taste test consistent. This is a walk up location with a few chairs and a front window bar. Featuring now seasonal pumpkin and red velvet but stuck to fave taro. Tucked away location in Westfield and great customer service!

The kind GM

Eddy (the GM) is really kind and occasionally gives me shots of topping to eat. People should come to this location more often the service is amazing.

So glad to get here
Jill C.

Ordered the brown sugar milk tea with pearls and with low sugar. I wasn't super thrilled but I think it's bc I ordered low sugar and need to figure out my order here. I gave 4 stars bc they have Great customer service with a cashier willing to make suggestions. The drink was done properly but I need to figure out how I like my boba here. Eventually I'll get my order right! Learned their creamers are mainly plant-based and they have full plant-based option.

But every door that closes gives us an opportunity to go somewhere else. Cafe Teasia this arctic Sunday night during the fallow holiday period was surely spartan ,modest in size and devote. There was a fellow with a backwards baseball cap on speaking with another someone far away on a laptop, mimicking the illusion of companionship. Another pair playing at the same human game we all play at was doing it in person as a couple or couple to be or two who were to have but these evening. The beau or fella was brashly loud which soon grew charming as I recalled when I used to try to wow girls with tales of meditation tricks and bragging I'd be dead in 2031 when the next Avatar comes out (or the equivalent in my time). So here I was coming in out of the cold playing the same innocent game for human connection. I wish I could warn him that her politely laughing may not be a good sign! Or maybe assure him it is - ah, but who knows what love is or indeed even what fun is. All i know was the last joint wasn't putting out any such vibe. Ah the severance. So I got two coffees to go because that's what coffees are for. But I also got my first ever "bubblentea". The mango bubble tea had these little pearl-like bubble balls that mash like tiny grapes in your mouth. Delightful candified moment. But here's what I'll always remember. The second i walked in, the cashier warmly greeted me and welcomed me with but three patrons here on a Sunday night - and the heat was out. She wore a coat. I didn't remove mine. Our breathe was nearly white but you know what? Not nearly so cold an experience as the last joint.

Being that this summer has been absolutely sweltering this year, soft ice cream always seems to be my dessert of choice on those unbearably hot days. This place in the middle of Westfield is very clean on the inside, really nice and luckily on the day we visited, there was nobody inside so we were attended to immediately. They have multiple flavors of soft serve ice cream, At this visit we decided upon the monster cookies and chocolate soft swerve swirl. We thought about their other desserts, but ultimately decided against it but the mason jar sundae looked amazing. The ice cream itself, the chocolate was silky and smooth and absolutely as soft ice cream should be. The monster cookies tasted okay, but was a little gritty for soft serve. Maybe this flavor would work better with some of their other desserts, but as stand alone soft serve, it just was not it. I've had monster cookie adjacent ice creams usually as hard ice cream, and maybe it works better that way. Overall, solid, definitely would try their other flavors and other extensive desserts available.

The Dragon roll is one of my go tos because I don't think you can go wrong with eel. It was delicious as always. The Perfect Naruto Roll might be a new favorite to add to the list. Loved that it was almost entirely different types of fish and no rice. It was a nice change from the other rolls. We also go the Hanky Panky roll that I will need to remember to reorder as well, and a classic salmon roll. Everything was delicious and filling and perfect even the next day. Thanks for another wonderful meal!

Sadly, not only has the quality reduced to barely edible, they have also decreased in portion while increasing in price. How disappointing!! At first, I thought maybe it was a bad night. But every time can't be an off night, not for me. The service is the same. They don't 'bother' or disturb you too much, but someone is usually need if you need something. It looks a little run down these days, despite the increase in price, everything else seems to be going down. Maybe they will revamp and do better. I'll stick around Yelp to find out, because otherwise, I will never know.

A stunning little hidden gem!…read more I've never been to Metuchen really, was invited to concert and stumbled upon this incredible little place looking for a quick coffee and soup on the way. Not only was the ambience completely genuine with the decor so charming and quaint. The girls running it running around briskly speaking in French, but the menu was perfect. They had all of what constitutes a Parisian cafe with all the necessary American fusion additions. We only ordered soup and a bubble tea drink (irrelevant, I know!), all was fresh and nuanced and absolutely delicious. We told the girl we were in a hurry, everything arrived shortly, promptly and perfectly. I would definitely come back here to try other things. Worth coming to Metuchen now. I hope their local patrons so everything to support their local excellence.

When I got the bill, it had three random items that didn't make sense so I went up to clarify and she ended up trying to make excuses. I looked over the menu again to calculate how much each item was plus tax and tip. My friend ended up paying for both our meals and was overcharged as well. Waitress claimed it was tax, 18% tip, and credit card fee. She gave herself her own tip, not giving us the option of what we wanted to tip. Not sure if they are the same owners of the one in Metuchen but looking over their reviews, it looks like they scam people often. Don't like shady places ... Never again at this place.
