Tried this place tonight and found it very good. On line order was ready when they said it would be ready. Order was exactly what i had asked for. Portions were big enough to share or left overs. I was pleasantly surprised and will go back again. read more

Nice local place if your in the mood for a poke bowl. Offer bowls with 2 or 3 proteins of your choice. I got tuna and yellowtail, and shrimp tempura. You pick a variety of ingredients, toppings and sauces. They do a great job. Fish is fresh. Overall delicious. My only complaint is I ordered 3 proteins and payed extra for the third protein, but don't feel I got any more fish overall than in a 2 protein bowl. read more

New favorite poke spot! I ordered online and although it is a little far away it is absolutely worth the wait. The poke 22 spicy sauce is fantastic and it is different from any other sauce I have had. The pricing is okay, not cheap, not outrageous. It's delicious so I don't mind, also they give you so much avocado it's almost worth the $1.50 you have to pay. I love the topping options, there is quite a bit of variety compared to other poke places and the fish is so fresh. This is going to be my new regular spot! read more

Poke 22 - Salmon Poke Bowl - Poke Near Me - Springfield Township, New Jersey

I loveeeee poke. I didn't know what to expect from this place coming from California poke but I was pleasantly surprised. A few housekeeping details: -They no longer accept the Yelp check-in offer. - You go in and order directly from a kiosk. There is very minimal person-to-person interaction with the staff here. Anyway, I appreciated the many, many options they had available for toppings, proteins, etc. We ended up spending around $70 for two milk teas with boba (they were okay, but I wouldn't order them again), cream cheese wontons, and two large bowls - one with extra protein. Everything took about 10 minutes to prepare after we placed our order - not bad at all. Once the food was done, they called our number and we went to pick it up. If you want extra sauces or anything, that's when you ask for it. The food was pretty good. For the price, I do wish the bowl had been a little more full (just what I'm used to), but the fish tasted fresh and with the toppings and everything, it was all good. I'll be back! read more

A hidden gem next to Krispy Kreme doughnuts on Route 22. The place is super clean, food very fresh and the presentation excellent. I ordered the create your own snack bowl. Good poke option in the area (and especially nice in the immediate area as most of the other options seem to be fast food). I haven't had poke in NJ before this, but its fairly comparable to the poke places in manhattan (including similar price point). For $13ish you get 3 proteins. I'd say that the protein serving was fairly good... I was able to get some protein in each of my mouthfuls which was nice. Also they had a wide range of "toppings" to add (most with no additional charge). I randomly selected the poke 22 sauce which was tasty. I ordered 50/50 sushi rice/ veggies... I do think they gave me much more rice than veggies, and I was pretty stuffed after finishing. Next time I'll try to request more veggies versus the rice. read more

Been going to Poke 22 since it opened. I placed my order at the kiosk and sat down and waited to be called up. 40 minutes goes by and they were busy so I finally went up to the desk after countless orders were called and asked for order #39 and he asks me if I'm paying cash or card. I said "cash". Then asked if my order was ready yet. The cashier said "no". I then asked if my order wasn't ready cause I'm paying cash and he said "yes". left immediately and I'm never going back. Just cause I'm paying in cash doesn't mean my order should have been looked over! read more

Freshy fresh and raw-some! Here, you either order via app (yelp, UberEats, Seamless, or Grubhub) OR by picture-based touchscreen onsite. You can completely customize your poke bowl or burrito to be spicy/bold, tropical/citrus, or whatever you want, baby! While they don't fill your bowl/burrito as you go left-to-right or vice versa, they compose it within view and deliver a beautiful presentation. Your base can be sushi rice, brown rice, or salad (the deep-colored kind- not those shitty pale greens). Besides your typical fish, they offer cooked octopus, shrimp, tofu, and chicken (which I usually order for my kids) at no extra charge. Then you can choose 2 sauces out of 12 choices and a ton of yummy toppings. I'm completely hooked! NOTES/TIPS: **Gender-neutral and wheelchair-accessible bathroom. **Plenty of parking **Between Krispy Kreme and 1000 Degrees, and by Moe's. read more

Had lunch here with my work proximity associate. Not the best but decent for route 22. Really easy to order on the tablet. No need to repeat or stare at the working scooping up the ingredients. Loaded up 3x cilantro and other toppings. Certain items like avocado is additional but that's okay. i like how they sauce is on the side so you can go light if you want. Our only complaint is that its all plastic wear. Will it stop us from coming back for lunch? Probably not because of the buy 10 get 1 free card. There is a bogo special from 4-5pm. also a 10% of yelp checkin i didn't take advantage yet. read more

Driving down route 22 can be a bit overwhelming with options on both sides and the middle. I found Poke 22 (thanks to Yelp) and decided to give it a try. Like most places on 22, parking is there, you don't have to worry. I found a 10% off check in code and applied that to my order. I decided to try a build your own bowl with choice of three proteins and a variety of sides and accompaniments. My husband chose the same and built a bowl for himself. I also ordered a side of crab rangoon (or they call them flowers?) and an order of takoyaki. I really loved the crab rangoons. They used the thinner, lighter, wonton wrapper skins and they make for a lighter, better rangoon in my opinion! And if you like cream cheese like I do, than this is for you! My husband doesn't typically like crab rangoons and he enjoyed these. The takoyaki did not disappoint either! They were hot, chewy/smooth, crispy on the outside and had all the toppings that you would expect. This was a win for me! I enjoyed my bowl too but I think next time I would choose half salad and half sushi rice (rather than all sushi rice) because it was very heavy and I definitely only ate half the rice (but finished my toppings). I was impressed that my one protein of shrimp tempura came with two medium sized shrimp. This was decent in portion size. I wish there was more salmon and yellowtail but for the ~$14 price point I don't think I can argue. The ordering system was nice, completely electronic so it doesn't require you to jot your order down on paper or need to really talk to anyone. You even pay right at the iPad so all you have to do is wait for your order to be prepared. Overall, I had a good experience and I'll definitely be coming back if I'm in the area again. We met a family there that said they drive half an hour just to go there and that it's a favorite spot of theirs. They wanted to know if I liked it since I think it was obvious that it was my first time there. Note: no bathroom is available here. I suppose in the pandemic they limited the bathroom to use for only employees but there is a sign that no bathroom is available. Most of the time I take my food to go so I go home and wash my hands before I eat. But if you are planning to eat outside or there make sure you don't have to use the restroom or be prepared to just hand sanitize with the sanitizer they offer. read more

They have plastic sheeting covering the register and the bar to protect the business and the customers from COVID. They take the cleanliness very seriously. I ordered food for takeout and was in person to order and simply waited. The food was ready quickly. The portions are small so you have to ask them to double up on some toppings to get a reasonable amount. I think that if I called in my order, my portions would be tiny and I would be dissatisfied with my poke bowl. read more

Food? Awesome. Fresh. Delicious. Fast. Not awesome? Route 22. I've never liked this road, and if you miss the turn in like I did, you'll dislike just as much as me. Not only will you have to make another loop, but you'll have to cross what equates to an active runway to get all the way to the right in time. But, it's nice to see the folks at Poke 22 have embraced the road and incorporated it into their name. In any case, the food is actually the important thing, and I thought my poke was excellent. I went with a three protein bowl (salmon, tuna, yellowtail) over half greens half brown rice. I was pleasantly surprised how many protein options there were; not only is yellowtail a standout, but octopus? Eel? Nice. There are a LOT of add-ons, and you can choose a LOT of them. 18 mix-ins, 7 crunchy toppings, 8 other toppings, and 2 sauces can make a hell of a poke bowl, and mine was stuffed with plenty of it. I don't even think I hit the full 18 mix-ins. Best of all: 96% of your choices don't add a penny to the price. However, the most important part of a poke bowl is fresh fish, and I thought mine was excellent. COVID stuff: I think you could eat in there if you wanted to, but it didn't seem like anyone was doing that so I housed this bowl in my car whilst watching people line up in the freezing cold for Krispy Kreme. Inside, there is sanitizer galore, and the whole food prep area is behind a wall of plastic. read more

This is my go to place for sushi. I love the idea of the tablet. Makes ordering easy and fast. You walk in and the tall lady staff greets you with a smile. So friendly and generous with her portion. Their ingredients is fresh. Best if you come in the mid afternoon not when they are just opening because some ingredients may be missing or slightly cold (lightly thawed). I love the sushi rice bowl because the rice is always warm!!!! The place is clean. The price is right for the large portion they give you. Here you will find me having my lunch meal, reading a book and just enjoying the atmosphere. Never disappointed. Filling, satisfying, and healthy!! read more

This review is based on the sushi burrito that I've had about 3x so far and I've also had a poke bowl as well. A sushi burrito is like having a sushi roll magnified 10x the size of regular sushi. I'd never even heard of a sushi burrito let alone tasted it, so having this was an awesome surprise to my taste buds and now I'm totally hooked. I've never visited this establishment and have never even spoken to anyone there but I usually do the easy ordering online and my son picks it up. The online ordering is very user-friendly and easy. I love ordering online because it's quick, simple and you'll never get put on hold when ordering online. It allows you to choose whatever additions you want to put on your sushi burrito and also select the kind of sauce you want. The sauce is generally accompanied on the side in a convenient plastic container. I prefer the ginger and the poke sauce. The sushi burrito is fairly filling but because it's so tasty you'll probably want another so consider ordering 2 for that reason -at approximately $13 each it's not a bad price especially considering sushi can generally get kinda pricey and is usually a delicacy; no doubt this is a meal though. The poke bowl is equally delicious. It comes with rice, and the additions of your choice. I must say I'm very happy about Poke 22 coming to Springfield on Route 22. It's a wonderful and unique addition in the midst of the usual food establishments that have been there for 10+ years serving the same old food. I'm definitely going back and I recommend to anyone who loves sushi or is looking for something a lil different. read more

I decided to give this place a try after getting my donuts. They have a fairly simple menu nothing too crazy. I went with Hawaiian bowl and crazy poke bowl Both over lettuce. We come to this poke takeout place on Route 22 often. The prices are good and the bowl selection is vast and customizable. That being said I always get the Crazy Poke bowl with extra eel sauce. Love it! You can get brown rice or white or a salad base. The fish always tastes very fresh and the portion sizes are good. I don't eat my bowl and say I'm still hungry. My family usually orders custom bowls which I lack patience for. Service is efficient beneath the plastic sheeting. Plenty of parking in front and easy access to RT 22. A little hairy entering from lot but make your move you'll be glad you did. Sorry no pics scarfed down too fast. read more

Okay.... I'm a fan, yes and I come here all the time, but it's definitely over priced. I also do a build your own bowl with two or three proteins since the fixed menu sometimes has add-ins that I'm not the biggest fan of. While everything is super delicious, sometimes I get small portions of the proteins which I hate since one bowl can be $17 and the portion sizes aren't always the same. Sometimes I get a good amount and sometimes I get a small amount. Do yourself a favor and get their buy 10, get 1 free punch card to eventually save you money on a bowl! read more

Went there for lunch yesterday. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They explained all the options they had. I loved how fresh their protein was and the fact you can pick more than one. The only thing I was disappointed by was that they don't have quinoa as an option or they won't make poke pure vegetarian. They do have tofu as an option but we can't chose a bowl without a protein. Overall I do like this place. The ambiance is nice. I would definitely recommend and will come back. They do have great options read more

Fresh, healthy and fast, Poke 22 has very quckly moved to the front of our COVID-19-era dining rotation. We're here for take-out every 2-3 weeks and have always found a way to keep our dinner interesting. The Poke 22 team are friendly, accommodating and always ready on-time. I would suggest placing your order online for fastest service. Although the always lovely Ms. G. was new to poke (a/k/a "Hawaiian sushi"), I had enjoyed it in a few business trips to California. Poke 22 is every bit as fresh and well-made as its California cousins, while offering more options than I had previously experienced. Poke bowls come in three basic sizes; each is generous. The one-protein snack size ($9.99), two-protein ($11.95) and three-protein ($13.95) each offer a choice of brown rice, white sushi rice, spring mix salad greens or a combination of rice and salad. Burrito-style wraps are also available. Their protein choices include raw and cooked fish, shellfish or chicken. Diners are then able to choose from an exhaustive list of mix-in's (select up to 18), crunchy add-in's (7), poke toppings (8) and dressings (2). Only roasted eel, lobster salad, octopus and (disappointingly) avocado incur small surcharges ($1.00 to 1.50 each). The list of choices can be a bit daunting, and might require a little trial-and-error, but you really can't go wrong. The end-result is a fresh and delicious custom creation. On one visit they must have been running low on the spring mix greens as we received a disproportionate number of bald stems. Other than that quibble we've never had cause for complaint. read more

I gave Poke 22 5/5 stars I have dined at Poke 22 several times over the past few months. They offer excellent variety and selection. The prices are pretty good as well. I am always full after having a bowl. The quality of fish is always solid and the variety of toppings makes every visit unique. I usually enjoy the salmon and the spicy salmon. I am a big fan of the brown rice as well. I always order online and pick up to avoid the lines and the wait. They are always timely and ready to go when I order. I highly recommend the spicy aioli and the ponzu sauce. They add a nice flavor and zing to the meal. The sauces are always served on the side which is great because you can perfectly measure how much you want with each meal. Tip: make sure to do their buy 10 get one free promo. COVID review: I wish I had a photo, but I was too excited and ate it right away! This is a great poke place in an interesting location. When you self pick up your order, there is hand sanitizer! How kind! Love it. I had spicy tuna and spicy salmon on my poke bowl and it was delicious. The sushi rice was perfectly sticky and warm. Decided to try this Poke place. Since it was our first time, we decided to order from their Signature bowls. We chose the the Alaska Bowl and the Dragon Bowl. Definitely my go for eel and rice. The customer service is wonderful. The food is always delivered in a timely manner. A family favorite.

Ordered: Three Proteins Poke (Spicy Salmon, Eel, Octopus), Three Proteins Poke (Spicy Tuna, Spicy Salmon, Spicy Yellowtail), Takoyaki Mel: We placed our order using the iPads, which was very quick and convenient. They have a wide variety of mix-ins, toppings, and sauces to choose from. The staff was nice and it took about 10 minutes to prepare our poke bowls. The ingredients tasted fresh and I liked that they serve the sauces on the side rather than directly in the bowl. Both sauces I chose (spicy aoli, wasabi aoli) were creamy and flavorful. One thing I would note is that they don't really give you equal amounts of each protein. The scoops of raw fish are fairly small, whereas they gave a generous amount of octopus. I do wish they were more consistent with the protein portions, but other than that, no complaints. I'm also glad I was able to satisfy my takoyaki craving here, so if you want to try an appetizer, look no further! There aren't many poke options in this area, so I would definitely recommend stopping by for a bite! It's a delicious, healthy option compared to many of the other restaurants on Route 22. Joo: I enjoyed the quality of the fish and the freshness of the ingredients. Will be sure to return as this is the only poke place I know of in the area! read more

I have had Poke in many places. From my first bowl in Hawaii to our once favorite place in Staten Island (which added in a very hefty bridge toll to the overall cost of the meal). I've eaten it in Maine and Boston, New York, New Jersey, and DC. And of all the places I've been, Poke 22 is the best. There are a lot reasons it is now my top choice. Ordering by iPad is great, I hate having to do the whole walk down the line of ingredients, and it's better than the old fashioned paper slips. Just don't forget to scroll. The food options are great. A ton of different proteins, so if your not into the whole raw fish thing, you will have plenty of things to choose from, like tempura shrimp or grilled chicken. The others mix ins are great, from more American options like corn and carrots to more authentically asian choices like tomago (sushi style scrambled egg) and hijiki seaweed. Their crunchy toppings are diverse and tasty, but it's the sauces that really shine. They have a huge amount of choices, ranging from sweet, to creamy, to spicy, and all are served on the side. With two sauces allowed per bowl, it's a great way to try something new without risking your bowl. Portions are quite generous, which is good, as the prices are not low (but not too high either). I've struggled to finish my bowl, which has rarely happened at other NJ poke places. Overall, Poke 22 is simply the best. If your a connoisseur or a newbie when it comes to Poke, make sure to check it out. read more

I can't tell you how much I miss Poke 22. This was the first poke I had post-pregnancy after giving birth to my son and I recently moved out of the area and no other poke spots compare. They give exceedingly generous portions, all the sauces are delicious (get the yummy sauce), ingredients were fresh every single time I've gone (which was at least 10 times), and they have such great service! It was absolutely worth the short drive because the in store pick up prices are much cheaper than delivery. Also, I worked at a poke restaurant in Hoboken for 4 years (I won't say names) but Poke 22 beats them in every aspect. In fact, I visited Hawaii recently and the poke was super disappointing and didn't even compare (my bad for getting poke in a super touristy area). Get the yellowtail! And the eel! And the octopus! Honestly, you can't go wrong with ANY combination. The tamago was super delicious too! My only complaint would have to be that the mangos sometimes weren't ripe enough- but that's better than having overripe mangos! read more
