Great poke spot in Millburn! As a Maplewood resident, we don't have much good-quality poke and was excited to find this place. We used to go to inspiration roll in Morristown but my family thinks we'll be replacing it with Millburn Poke from now on. Portions were definitely smaller than other places but it was still enough for one meal. My bowl had sushi rice, mixed greens, spicy tuna, spicy salmon, mango, seaweed salad, kimchi, masago, edamame, teriyaki sauce, spicy mayo, onion flakes, garlic flakes, and shredded seaweed. The fish tasted super fresh and the mix of the sweet teriyaki and spicy mayo complimented each other very well. At first glance, the mango didn't look super ripe but it tasted good in the mix. Next time, I would not get the kimchi. I've had a lot of kimchi and this one had an odd taste to it in my opinion. I took it out of my bowl. I have no comment on the atmosphere or service because we did takeout but the food was ready when they said it would be! Price point was good for a nice portion of fish (~$15). We finally try a poke bowl in my bf's neighborhood and it's pretty good, but portions wise alot smaller than the other places I been to. The reg salmon is fresh, but the spicy salmon wasn't. It had a off taste to it. but overall everything was delicious and they did packed it up well. I just came by to pick up my online order and I asked to use the bathroom before leaving the restaurant. I was told it was busy and so I waited and 10 minutes later I was knocking on the door and realized nobody was there. I told the lady in charge that nobody was inside, and if I could have the key and she told me why don't you just go use the one in Starbucks? I told her because this is where I am buying from, and not at Starbucks, and then she told me that she did not know where the key was. I then looked at the counter and low and behold there was the key, so I grabbed it and used the bathroom. So fresh and filling! Excellent poke bowls and boba tea. Their rectangular containers and limit on ingredients chosen differs from most poke spots in the area, but they seem to give more protein including tasty baby octopus (my fave!) and for the base, they offer quinoa, cauliflower rice, and zucchini noodle besides more typical ones. While "mix-ins" are limited to 5 and toppings are capped at 3, they pack plenty of those ingredients. This spot is exactly what this town and my tummy needed! I can't believe Millburn Poke still has so few reviews! We've walked by a number of times over the past few months and it always look so clean and nice inside. I'm so glad we finally placed an order. Ordered online on a Friday night for pickup and had a really easy time placing a custom veggie bowl order (with two kinds of tofu!) and a Honolulu bowl. Prices were really reasonable, the bowls were ready for pickup within 15 mins, and they were packed beautifully. Everyone loved them when we got home, and the food was still hot and tasted very fresh. Great options, fun signature bowls, and awesome vegetarian choices too. read more

Good food. Good service. The lady helped me create a bowl. I wanted with sushi rice, eel and cooked shrimp and she helped me choose vegetables and others, very helpful. Ingredients are very fresh as well. I guess it could be little overwhelming that you have so many items to choose from. But delicious. Will back there again. The salmon and ahi tuna were super fresh, the toppings were balanced, and overall the bowl was satisfying. Honestly, my only complaint is about the service. When I asked about substituting Hijiki salad for seaweed salad (both are types of seaweed), I was given attitude and told it would be an up-charge. For a single item (especially when poke bowls are all about customizations), I thought that was a bit unnecessary especially with the attitude that came with her the response. I would highly recommend the food. So I've been going here regularly. Today was the last time. Yesterday, I ordered a poke bowl with sushi rice teriyaki chicken and avocado with sauce on the side. I picked it up and it was exactly as I e ordered in the past. Today I ordered the same thing. When I left there was no sauce on the side, even though it said it on the receipt. But instead it was on the chicken. I was going to have them remake it and said I'll take it. She gave some excuse that I ordered wrong. I've been ordering this way for months. I should've had them remake it. When I ate it, more than 75% of the chicken didn't seem cooked. Almost like they used the sauce to cover that up. The chicken was crunchy not soft like when it's cooked all the way through. I ate some chicken, spit most of it and ate the avocado and sushi rice. I'm done with this place and eat here at your own risk. I don't recommend it. read more

Updating my review! At the time of my initial review I critiqued the rice as being dry. Over time we've continued to order from here and we've noticed that the rice has gotten better, and at this point the rice has been consistently perfect for the last few times. The fish and other ingredients are also consistently high quality (though tbh I always get salmon so I can't really speak to other fish ha). We now order from here about 2 to 3 times a month and will keep it on frequent rotation for our weekly takeout! read more

The presentation is attractive; the burrito was packed in a lidded box that almost looked like a gift. It was packed full of vegetables and rice with very generous amounts of spicy and ahi tuna. They added just the right amount of dressing/sauce. I ate half for lunch and half for dinner. Pretty excited to try this since I pass by it quite a bit. The employees looked busy making orders so I waited till they were free. Someone eventually asked the customer next to me if she needed help and she said she was still looking so I assumed they would ask me next, nope. No worries, I waited to use the self ordering kiosks but 3 customers took their time browsing the menu on it for the next 10 mins. There weren't any customers other than me, the person still browsing the menu and the 3 messing with the self order kiosks. For over 10 mins, I was never even asked if I was ready to order or needed help. I just ended up leaving (I'm disabled and I didn't want my driver circling around any longer) The simplest thing any business can do is greet or ask if they need assistance, honestly, even if I didn't order anything that day, that would have been enough. I mean this with the utmost sincerely, I hope your business does well but please, do better and try not to have another customer go through this same experience. One of my favorite places to order dinner. The portion sizes are just right and beautifully packaged. The fish and veggies are super high quality, always so fresh. They have multiple base options and a nice assortment of toppings. It's not the cheapest poke bowl option in the area but it's by far the best one (and perfectly reasonable considering the quality in comparison).
