Popped in to grab a bite and it was good. Limited seating space and paper plates which makes me think it's more of a to-go spot but had zero issues with dining in. Service was quick and friendly. Food was really good. We got a kani salad which was massive, my GF got a spicy tuna roll and a California rolls. I got the Yummy Roll (I think? Shrimp tempura, kani, crunch, and eel sauce). We both came away saying we'd get them all again. Seemed to be decent quality seafood, no fishy smell or taste. It's a hike from South Orange but any time we need food after a visit to the Mall at Short Hills, we plan on stopping by Tokyo Sushi to fulfill that need. read more

We did a pickup order and decided to go with a platter, which we thought was well worth the cost for the amount of sushi given. We also kept some on the side to eat later on. The sushi platter had 25 sushi pieces plus the rolls we ordered and we thought that was great! It was prepared very well and packaged just as well. The staff was kind and diligent in their work. The shop also has a frozen yogurt and bubble tea selections. Quite a bit going on here. Only a handful of tables to sit and eat at and there were tables outside for use. I could see us getting a smaller meal, maybe a lunch, and eating outside quickly under the sun. Definitely coming back! read more

Swung by this place to get a small sushi platter for girls' night and was glad I did. Upon entering, you immediately notice the selection of frozen yogurts - yup, apparently this is a new thing. The staff were super nice, chatty, and welcoming. They offered a medium free yogurt because I spent enough to earn a free one. I was happy to get dessert on the go too! The sushi was very good! I feel like several local towns' sushi places are just not as fresh and most smell fishy (a big no-no) and Tokyo sushi was delicious, affordable, and super fresh! Well done. read more

Tokyo Sushi is a solid sushi spot in the neighborhood! We ordered two party platters here for a family gathering and I was impressed with how fresh and well-prepared the rolls were. Placing our order over the phone was a breeze - the woman on the line guided us to select a number of rolls and sashimi and even gave us a few recommendations that ended up being solid picks. There was a wait of around forty minutes for our platters, but the resulting dishes were gorgeous, and most importantly, tasty. The folks here are as nice as can be and while we placed a to-go order, it seems like a postprandial froyo might be a great perk of dining in. As an added plus, there is a sweet $30 discount that is applied to all orders above $150, which is a fantastic deal if you're placing a large order. read more

This is one of the only places in the area for frozen yogurt and what I come here for most of the time. They also have bubble tea. There's a credit card minimum of I think $10 so remember to bring cash if you can't meet that. I enjoy their onigiri which they always make fresh, I usually order several for a quick bite at home. Definitely recommend this place - there is nowhere close by with their unique offerings. read more

The two gentleman who helped my friend and I make our bubble tea selection were very friendly and accommodating. 5 stars for service. 3 for the tea. This is a popular hang out for teenagers as the middle school is up the street. They have frozen yogurt, sushi as well as bubble tea. I had a taro milk tea with 25% sugar. I did not taste the taro. It was OK but not as good as some. If you are in the area, it will do the trick. Parking is free in Chatham. read more

I definitely need to go here in person. My husband picked up, and he said it was nice inside. Looked like a yogurt boba spot, he said. Drinks: Honeydew milk tea boba, AMAZING! Mango milk tea, also very delicious Food: Spicy Edamame I wasn't sure what this topping was. I thought maybe tajin. Not exactly what I expected. It was ok. Godzilla Roll - Eel, kani, white fish & seaweed salad (in), lightly fried served w. spicy mayo & eel sace (5pcs) This was a very filling roll, flavors were great together Yummy Roll - Shrimp tempura, avocado (in), spicy kani (top) w. spicy mayo & eel sauce (8pcs) My son devoured this one. I had to chopstick challenge him to eat the last one lol Snow on Fire Roll - Spicy crunchy tuna (in), yellowtail, white tuna & jalapeno (top) w. chili sauce (8pcs) This one was my favorite, fresh tasting. Delightful. Spam Onigiri I was actually very excited for this. I can't find this anywhere. I've made it before! I think i had trouble opening it so it kinda fell apart. There's instructions on how to open. Anyways, very tasty!!! I think i will always order this. The rolls were very filling! I definitely want to try more! read more

I wish I knew about this place sooner! Its nice having such a high-quality sushi spot (with affordable prices) within walking distance in town! And somewhere with a wide variety of bubble tea options is always exciting too! My friends and I placed a pretty big order online, and it was ready in anout 20 minutes! All of the fish felt fresh, the prices were reasonable, and the boba was so much fun! I will definitely be going back for more. read more

My husband and I ordered take out here. He walked to pick up since it's right there for us. For out of towners or that don't live close by there is street parking for an hour and a half or public parking available free for 3 hours in a lot. My husband spoke with the owners, they opened about two and a half weeks ago! He said they were very friendly. Shout out to Jackie and Michelle! I ordered us the lychee milk tea with lychee popping boba. I love that we are able to just walk and get great bubble tea instead of driving to Bergen county. The presentation of the sushi is just as great as it tastes. We got the Godzilla Roll. It was close to closing time so we hopped in on ordering quick. We are so delighted to have a boba plus sushi spot. read more

It appears to be that most people come here for their sushi and bubble tea. But I was in the area and wanted Froyo and saw that they also serve that as well. They had a decent amount of froyo flavors. They also had 2 sections for toppings for the froyo. Everything was self-served. I liked that there was a seating area ( indoor and outdoor) to enjoy your froyo as well or whatever else you purchased. I just wish the toppings had some sort of shield to protect them. One of the areas with the toppings seemed a bit disheveled as well. Nonetheless, my froyo was good, and the toppings tasted fresh. read more

Hmmm. Not sure why this place has such a high rating for sushi. I have to say it wasn't the best quality fish I'd had. Can't give this place for sushi more than 3 stars. read more

This place is amazing! The food is so good and delicious! Great quality and good costumer service! The place is very clean and traditional.

We took out tonkatsu ramen from Tokyo Sushi last night, which was delicious! That said, I'm a bit of a ramen snob after traveling to Japan 75 times. I've also enjoyed ramen from some of NYC's best spots, including Ippudo It was nice that they package the broth separately from the noodles. The broth was very tasty and the pork was done perfectly. We didn't eat right away so the ramen noodles began to stick together, our fault. I'd like to come back and eat it on-site to see if I can bump their rating up to a 5. Very happy to have very good ramen so close to home! read more

I couldn't even identify what their spicy tuna roll was made of. In general, we don't have a decent sushi place in the Chatham/Madison area. I tried Tokyo sushi due to the yelp rating, which was highest in the area. I'm baffled how this place gets anywhere above a one or too. read more

A great family run place for sushi, bubble tea and frozen yogurt. I only had the sushi and it was really good. They have lunch specials which are a solid value. Small independent business likes this need to be supported. Lovely spot run by a lovely couple. read more

Interesting mix of menu options... they have frozen yogurt, they have Bobba Tea, they have sushi, and they have ramen noodles. I gave it 4 stars because we loved the FroYo, and the Bobba Tea was excellent! The sushi was "okay"... fresh fish etc but a little too much mayo in some of the rolls we ordered. The "spicy" tuna etc were not really spicy. We did not try the ramen because 3 out of the 4 choices had a pork broth, with no option to substitute vegetable broth: All in all, a fun place to stop in for Bobba and Fro Yo. I will probably go elsewhere for the sushi though. read more

I ordered two different rolls and they were delicious. Fast turnaround and very conveniently located.

The bubble tea was great. My friend and I got the brown sugar milk tea; it was good. Friendly environment and service.

Unassuming place (where Yo Lotta Love, complete with the yogurt machines and toppings bar still operational) but the sushi is GREAT. Sushi is fresh and high quality, as good as it gets in our area really. Wide assortment on the menu including some very creative rolls. Don't judge this book by its cover - you'll be very happy here! read more
