There was plenty of available seating inside, but we were not being serviced and about 15 minutes had gone by. Interior was super clean and cute, and customer service was great. The matcha crepe cake was 10/10 and did not disappoint. The matcha flavor was strong, and it wasn't too sweet. The matcha dark chocolate honey cake was a little disappointing. The chocolate flavor was really mild, and I wouldn't say it tasted like dark chocolate. Phenomenal. I've been here a couple times since they opened, and I must say I am blown away every time. The space is not the biggest, but seating is still comfortable and the decor is minimalist, however the decor is small but mighty! I arrived here before my friend did, and the staff let me sit down and gave me water while I waited. I had also brought my laptop with me and they do have outlets you can use. I do not remember if they have free Wifi, though. The menu can be intimidating and confusing if you aren't familiar with asian desserts. Egg waffles, green tea ice cream, fresh mochi, smoothies, shaved ice, cake, combination items of the items I listed. The quality of the desserts is good. It's not extremely noisy if you come at the right time, and you can normally drop by here to have a quick "coffee/tea" with a friend or even a networking connection. Highly recommend. read more

A lovely Hong Kong dessert place serving crepe cakes, crepes, waffles and ice cream, and traditional Hong Kong fruit desserts which are somewhat like a smoothie bowl but with a more custard like texture that's dotted with little beads that taste like tapioca. I tried the crème brûlée crêpe cake, passionfruit tea, Oreo crêpe cake, and a mango dessert. I loved the passionfruit tea. Unlike a lot of boba shops, this one is very tea forward. It's a jasmine tea that has a nice balance of fruitiness. Perfect level of sweetness for my taste. The Oreo crepe cake was my favorite dessert. It had a lot of texture and a unique denseness that made it different than Lady M (Asian + French fusion). These crepe cakes are more custardy than mousse like. The creme brûlée cake was nice but not my personal favorite. It has a cake batter taste. I am familiar with crepe cakes but not with Hong Kong desserts. The desserts are fresh, refreshing and very different. I have a classic American palette and prefer things on the sweeter side so they suggested the Oreo crepe cake and for next time maybe their Nutella filled crepes. You can dine in or takeout. The servers come to your table if you are dining in and take your order. This was a very hospitable place and everybody was willing to explain the menu to me and answer my questions. They also do not rush you at all. It's very relaxing here. The decor is very minimal and reminds me of what you would likely find in Hong Kong. I'll definitely be back especially in the fall. They serve an off the menu hot coffee and tea drink I want to try. You are able to get hot tea served in a tea pot with a tea cup if you dine in. I look forward to doing that. read more

I love Mango Mango and I am a loyal customer. I've been to many locations including @Owner Katrina, your store in Edison, NJ. While your Edison location is fully staffed, sometimes I see them standing around, sadly, you've left your Livingston store understaffed. Tonight is Friday night, 8;45pm (start of summer) and the place was packed with customers ordering take out, all the seats were full with plenty of people waiting to be seated. You've left only two but amazing kids to run the show!!!! A nice young boy at the counter taking orders for take out and a sweet young girl who look absolutely exhausted taking table orders, bringing the desserts out and cleaning up the tables as well. @Owner Katrina, I understand Edison is your money maker but pay attention to Livingston and please hire additional staff!!! Kudos to the two kids working hard while still smiling, but your customers shouldn't have to wait for tables to be cleaned and 15-20 mins for a bowl of ice cream to be served. read more

Food was great. Service needs improvement. The cafe was not busy at all on this foggy Tuesday evening. There were 2 girls working as cashier and server. I felt that they did not know what was going on. They brought us the 5 orders one at a time. Luckily the mango was sweet, and everything tasted wonderful. We had 3 take out desserts. It took a long time for them to be ready. By then there were many people waiting for take out. It really felt like a mess. The 2 girls could not keep track of what is what. I've stopped the edison location a few times, but was super excited to see this opening up in north jersey. as there isn't too many asian dessert spots i north jersey, besides in bergen. This place is currently open for a soft opening, but the grand opening is on the 27th. if you come then and spend over $25, you can come get a cool themed cup for kids! the desserts came out super fast, they were sold out of some things like the cream puff, but that is more expected as they are sorting out operations and daily quantities! I ordered the A3 with lychee jelly, mango ice cream, mangos, and strawberries. unfortunately, my mango ice cream was mostly frozen so it was quite icy, but other than that the A3 is my go to dessert. it was a little bit quieter than preferred with the music being played a bit too quiet, so could easily over hear other people's conversation. parking is in the town center shared with other stores in the plaza. it should be able to find a spot on the weekdays fairly easily. Their durian crepe cake is to die for and will keep me going back time and time again. If you've never tried durian, give this one a shot! Have visited a few times since October 1, 2023. My go-to is the snow white juice with red bean and lychee jelly (add rice balls) & sub red beans for black rice. Enjoy Asian food and desserts immensely but have to say that it's very pricey for what you actually get size-wise. Have also tried some of their desserts with mango and IMO when the mango is not in season, it's on the sour side. Only once was I served my dessert in actual tableware vs a to-go container and never knew there was a rewards system until I overheard a neighboring table mention it to the staff after 3 or 4 visits. We were excited about this place and were waiting for it to open for quite some time... so when it finally open we went!!! I went there around 12:30, and I beat the line and be the only customer in the store. The manager was very polite and explain everything that they currently has in stock since they just opened, and some of the item they don't have it yet, and their grand opening is still to come (1/23/23 if you want to know.) since I am only there with my son so we only order one thing to try - the mango juice, sago, pamelo, with mango ice cream. Knowing it's not mango season, I expected that the mango won't be as ripe as it would be, so I wasn't disappointed at all. Overall it was a very good dish. As I was there enjoying my dessert, they started to get busy. I think they are understaffed since the manager (I assume) was trying his very best to sit the customers for dine in, and take care of the take out orders. There were at least 6 groups of people waiting. Poor guy was trying very hard and he never loose his temper and since I also order 2 slices of cake to take home, I am also waiting for the cake along with the rest of the people. When he finally came with my cake he kept apologizing for the wait which I really appreciate! The store is very clean, bright, and well organized. After posting my initial review, MangoMango invited me to come back and try their dessert again. I was given the A3 and this time the fruit was more sweet and flavorful. The strawberries were on the tart side, but way better than before. The owner asked for feedback and was actually receptive to constructive feedback which I really appreciated. He explained to me that if there's too much sago in the dessert, it can absorb the taste of all the other items in the dessert. We were also allowed to pick a cake and I opted for the chocolate mille crepe. I'm always hesitant to try mille cakes outside of Lady M, but MangoMango's chocolate mille was surprisingly really good. I would totally order this again if I went back. I really appreciate MangoMango reaching out (which they totally didn't have to do, but it was very kind of them) and trying to make things right. I wanted to update my last review. I had thought when I ate a piece of the Mango Mille Crepe Cake that it had an aftertaste of durian. But, that is not the case. I went back and purchased another piece of Mango Mille Crepe Cake to go. The Mango Mille Crepe Cake is perfectly sweet and not a hint of durian. I devoured the cake. The fresh mango on the top and sides was also delicious and not too sweet. It was not tart or bland. The durian I had tasted was residual in my mouth when the chef gave me a piece to try. The service is always excellent. I couldn't sign into the app but the counter person just asked for my phone number to look me up. There are so many items on the menu that I want to try. During my visit, I experience good customer service; employees are helpful and kind. My order has a specific name though the establishment does work with customers to mix ingredients necessarily. I like the Strawberry-Mango-Lychee-Jelly-Sago-Slush (no ice cream since I'm Vegan): the ingredients taste really good together, and I find the dessert to be very refreshing especially after a hearty meal (make sure to save room for dessert if you're at another eatery though near a Mango Mango Dessert). I look up the ingredients like Lychee and Sago to find the dessert may be a healthy option depending on the amount of sugar. Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoy the dessert option and visually find many of the desserts very appetizing. In a discussion with one of the owners, I can share that after being open for about eight months the establishment is looking to continue making progressions which I think will only bolster developments of the establishment in better directions. ugh! i was SO excited and happy that mango mango came to livingston but i was utterly disappointed. i'm just hoping it was a one time fluke but it definitely left a bad taste in my mouth.. so starting off with parking, it can be a hit or miss. came on a friday at 230pm so it was a bit packed, thankfully my mom waited in the car while i went inside. currently i am on crutches and (i believe the owner/manager) saw me and opened the doors for me which was super nice of him. at first, i thought the store was really small but once you go inside, there's a bunch of seating to the right. it's just misleading because if people are there for pick up or ordering to go, they crowd the entrance/kitchen area which was a bit annoying going in and out of the door. unfortunately, i didn't have time to stay & eat (which i should have) so i had to take it to go. i ordered the peach oolong mochi and the mango mille cake. i always get the A3 icecream combo but today i was feeling more cake & mochi so i tried them for the first time today. the peach oolong mochi comes in a set of 2 for $7.75 and the mango cake is $8.99. the mochi was VERY underwhelming and tasteless, not worth $7.75 at all. the mochi texture itself was quality, but other than that, the actual peach oolong flavor was just a cream/custard with no flavor (you're better off buying the mochi packs from a grocery store for cheaper and way better taste). the cake was the most upsetting out of the two as it tasted SPOILED. i confirmed with my sister trying it and she also said it was most definitely spoiled. what a waste of a $8.99 cake and we couldn't even ask for a refund/return it because we took it to go. if both of these were this bad, i'm wondering what else spoiled in the back.. i always have a good experience in hoboken & edison so i was disappointed here :( read more
