Some Like It COLD!!
Bill M.

"Hey Bill it's 4 degrees out that's Way Too Cold for Ice Cream right?"  !! NEVER !! No way is it Ever too cold to treat yourself, or in this case myself to some super delicious DQ!!    Gotta say that it's finally about time this part of the neighborhood got its own official Dairy Queen. On my first visit I found service here to be fast friendly and efficient. My delicious Hot Fudge Sundae hit the spot and was just what the Doctor Ordered on a freezing cold day.    Also just a heads up: this location doesn't serve anything off the Grill, just some seriously delicious ice cream products but hey we definitely won't hold that against them. The shop itself is kinda on the small size but they do have some indoor seating options with plenty of outdoor seating options as well for you warmer temperature Summertime folks, Lol. YUMMMMMMERS anytime in any kinda weather Come And Get Your Munch On!!

Cotton candy mini blizzard

next to just salad , we got this place for dessert the staff are young and new so it took a bit for the dude to figure out how to use the coupon / reward on the DQ app but luckily his coworker was able to help him out i got the mini cotton candy and my sister got the orange creamiscle shake and OMG the orange creamiscle was absolutely delicious! the cotton candy was a classic so nothing crazy/out of the ordinary this place does get a bunch of foot traffic so it was busy (makes sense of a sunday night) and there's limited amount of seating indoors but plenty of seating outdoors glad they moved to livingston!

Happy that this DQ opened nearby in Livingston, so we don't have to drive out all the way to Randolph anymore for a DQ sweet treat :) There's lots of outdoor seating available (there's a shared area between the DQ and the other cafe in that part of the shopping plaza). There are a few tables/seats inside, but it's pretty small and just enough room to line up for ordering at the counter and/or picking up from the cold cases. When we go, I'll get my husband a vegan Dilly bar and, for me, usually one of the seasonal, limited time only blizzards. Never disappoints! FYI - The bathroom is all the way at the back of the store, past the ordering counter. I don't believe you need a key or code. NOTE: Make sure to bring cash so you can tip your server because you can't add tip on a credit/debit card purchase.

Chocolate chip cookie dough blizzard

This Dairy Queen has hands-down the best chocolate soft serve in the area. Rich, flavorful, consistently delicious. The store's clean, the staff is friendly, and the location couldn't be more convenient. I want this to be my go-to. But the Blizzard toppings? They're portioned like there's a national shortage. My Reese's Cup Blizzard had maybe two bites with actual Reese's in it. After that, it was just plain chocolate ice cream. You'd think tariffs hit peanut butter cups--but they're made in Pennsylvania. So what's the excuse? And it's not just me. My fiancée gets cookie dough and has the same issue. You need a GPS to find a chunk. It's like playing Where's Dough? in a cup of false hope. A large runs about $8, and if you want the amount of toppings that should already be there, be ready to add another buck for extra. Sometimes they charge, sometimes they don't--but I always ask, just to have a fighting chance at a proper mix. Honestly, unless I micromanage the order, I end up wishing I'd driven a few extra minutes to that very pro-labor, very generous Blizzard coalition down the road. I won't name names--I'd hate for the DQ Portion Patrol to shut down a good thing. Bottom line: this place is convenient, clean, and the base ice cream is elite. But unless you ask for extra and cross your fingers, the Blizzard's gonna leave you cold--just not in the good way.

New location, clean, lots of outdoor seating. My blizzard was really good. The staff was friendly too.

I was omw to Aldi & surprised to see a new dairy queen in the area. Looks very clean and organized inside. There's also seating area in and outside. The worker who took care of me was really sweet. I got an oreo blizzard which was good. It wasn't busy at all but I believe it's because it's fairly new and people might not know about it being opened. I'm sure it'll get a lot traction soon.

My SO and I decided to treat ourselves to an ice cream dinner and headed to the new Dairy Queen. We arrived around 6 p.m., just before a line began to form, so our timing was pretty spot on. There were only two employees working, and with how busy it got, they could have definitely used a third person to help out. We each ordered a different flavor Blizzard--mine was a small, and my SO asked for a medium. When our orders were brought to the counter, I had a feeling there might be an issue, and sure enough, our sizes were swapped. It wasn't a huge deal, but the medium was a bit too much for me to finish. Unfortunately, the line was too long to try and fix it, so we just made do. Despite the mix-up, we'll definitely be back at some point. Hopefully, next time the order will be right!

So incredibly excited to have a DQ near by! Came here on a Sunday night and it was busy - but I did not mind waiting at all! The staff kept the line moving and provided everyone their orders in a timely manner. The ice cream was delicious and I cannot wait to come back to try more :)

Magnificent... I…read moreposted pictures to a Google Review if anyone wants to look there as well. This is in my Top 5 North Jersey Ice Cream List... Love it

Something was whispering "ice cream" to me as I moseyed home late one night (tonight). I took back…read moreroads instead of the highway. I skipped the first turn and took a later one. Then Caputo's whispered - in bright neon - OPEN. Could it be true? At 10:22? Yea. And yay! This new homemade shop brings the goods with a huge list of flavors to enjoy. Top notch quality ingredients*, perfect texture, great flavor, the whole 9 yards. The banana ripple was the perfect gooey balance of banana and fudge. The peach Melba has chunks of peach, fantastic in every bite. Then there's the cookie dough... I forget the name but it's the one that included other cookies as well. That was my pint, reasonably priced and expertly assembled. Even though I was there at closing they kept insisting I take my time and answered every question about flavors and ingredients. *Several that I wanted to try appeared to have artificial color. I stay away from that and advised them there, as I do here, to avoid its use. Apple shouldn't be green... Anyway, other than that, this special place has plenty going for it, and I think I have finally found ice cream that stands up to my local favorite Curly's. Caputo's takes the crown as the best food in East Hanover... okay, in my mind that title has been vacant for 25 years since Cobb's went away... but you get the idea. (:
